I've never had a screen fall out, double or single weave. I can use the same double weave for many months, never had a screen last so long before and hold up so well.

@NewVape710 Do you make these double weave screens in house?

The cross hole for these things works fine IMO and I like it better than wrench flats honestly. I don't like any possibility of damaging the metal, let alone when it's beautifully crafted titanium. I use a silicone-coated adjustable for the VROD head.

I think the cross hole is great because you can use anything in it. I use an old "poker" tool from an old VaporWarez box unit. It prevents people from over-torquing too, because you will usually start to bend the thing you are torquing with very quickly as it's thin.

I would say another approach would be a new silicone/wood handle, with some new design to allow more hand torque. It really doesn't need much to stay together, but you can't get enough power on the small silicone handle currently.

But - I am a heavy VROD concentrate user - and I have NEVER had an issue with the current carb cap/threads/tool. I just hand tighten it and it stays a good while. I'd vote cross hole there, though.

do you have any problems with reclaim buildup inside the bottom of the vrod head. You have to take it apart to see the area that I am talking about. I find that whenever i am using concentrates i will get buildup there. Managed to shatter my sic dish yesterday :(

Never a drop of reclaim ever in any of my Flowerpots. This comes up every couple months and I always forget what the consensus is but guaranteed someone will remember.

I found a new supplier for the regular grade 2 titanium screens. The wire dia is larger and the screen is stiff like the double weave. It snaps in the bowl grove perfectly. I'd say it's 100% better than the previous beamer screen. A 5 pack remains $5.00 You're not going to find these in a local smoke shop. The photo has not been updated.

The cross hole in the insulated carb cap handle is what we are moving forward with. Thanks for your input. I left the carb cap setting ontop of the vrod while heated for 5 hrs @ 710f and only had a little amount of discoloration on the wood. The wood remained cool enough to handle but the metal was sure hot.

We've had some folks buy the auber coils and found them not to work with their boxes. I remind folks that just because the plug is the same doesn't mean it's wired the same. Our coils are only certified with auber controls.

I believe this was due to leaving the head on the bowl and also not taking the head off before you stop your draw, causing some vapor to travel up into the head and condense.

I am an extremely heavy VROD flower/concentrate user and always remove the head before I stop my draw, so nothing goes back up, and also never leave the head on the bowl. Never seen anything inside following this.

If someone can confirm that was the cause, it might be worth adding to the OP or some sort of FAQ.

Not sure which SiC dish it was, but the NV one is great.

Ok here's another back burner project I'd like to finish before we go back to the caddies, boxes, and stands.

Please let me know if your have any finial suggestions to the Flowerpot Bowl Brush.

I'd like to see a collection box that sits in the largest cutout in the Safety Stand and Debowler (3004). I don't use the included debowler spike there because:

  1. I don't want my cats to eat the AVB
  2. potential to scatter
  3. picking up the base to dump it out is a little unwieldy.

I'm thinking a cylindrical container with a slightly smaller diameter than the cutout, and with similar AVB collection holes, lid fastening and threading for the brush would be great. Maybe put a lip on the lid or a heavy slope.

I keep a small Libby jar in the cutout now, but I wouldn't mind an upgrade.

I would like that brush just to be inserted on top of the existing debowler, that way, it's optional, brush or pointed debowler, fewer parts, cost-effective.

Been experiencing the carb cap hits, my methodology these days.
Setup the fp showerhead controller at 528, take the hit and put the carb cap on for just about 3 seconds during the end of the hit and clear. I use micro loads of say 0.2 gram and use it like a single hit bong style.

Some Showerhead love with my new Dubbub :D :D :D
Water lvl is higher than it looks..would say 1/3 of the chamber but some kind of bubble stays trapped below the honeycomb..dunno why but works great..not stacking that much bus inhale speed is just too slow in my scenario..still very pleased...I am on a brake right now and this way just a cheat day like thing...I am totally baked its not even funny anymore

Has anyone else tried heating ruby beads then dropping them onto the flower? I have had some nice results doing this with my Sh. I also noticed with dabs the more you use the better more efficient the dab is. I use 3 5mm 2 4mm and one 6 i was unsure what size my quartz actually are so got different sizes. The 6 seems like it may make a bit splash up but perfect for my large bangers.

Hey all, have been trying to do a lot of research on a new vape to get. Currently have a Fury 2. Really trying to find something with an all glass air path. Smoked hookah for a decade so really trying to minimize any metals or any other impurities in the air inhaled. Has anyone come up with a solution to get an all glass air/vapor path with the Flowerpot? I know this has been asked and NewVape is a metal shop but wondering if anyone has come up with a DIY method or seen any 3rd party companies create an all glass Showerhead or other option.

If NewVape has it in the works, I would be the first to buy :).

If you want to minimize impurities inhaled I would suggest a rosin press, NewVape makes some excellent ones.

You can get an all glass vapor path quartz banger for $8.

As usual an ingenious solution done with beautiful craftsmanship Edwyn. Would it be possible to make the holes on the lid of the box more elongated so most of the AVB will fall through without having to sweep it in?

Instead of calling your newest head a WeedEater, have you considered calling it a WeedhEater?

Currently encountering my first real problem with the flowerpot. Has anybody else had difficulty detaching their weedeater head from the coil? First time having any issues with this, but today I wanted to switch to my V-Rod head for some concentrates and I cannot get the weedeater head off of the coil. The two pieces seem essentially fused together they are so stuck. Previously the head had always fit kind of loosely on the coil and come apart with no issues. Not sure what to do here, it really doesnt seem like these things are getting un-stuck.

Maybe try heating it up a bit and try a hot swap?

Have you tried using the wrench flats with a cloth between the wrench and the titanium to minimize possibility of scratches?
Tried that, scratched it and didn’t make any progress. Decided to stop trying to force it as soon as I saw it scratched, but maybe I’ll try again with a more sturdy cloth.

@roofpizza I use these 2 adjustable wrenches without rags. You can use a scotch brite pad to remove light scratches and reestablish the brushed finish. Occasionally the coils expand (seems like new coils) and become difficult to remove without the proper tools. Heating up the coil for 5 sec will also help. Try not to use the coil handle as a leverage point as it will bend very easy. It's also recommended to only finger tighten the head and coil when it's cold.

I’ll do my best, not as worried about the finish and scratches as I am being able to switch back to my V-Rod head, eager to get at some of my concentrates. And i’ve never tightened it using anything other than just my fingers.

Hit one half of the heater head with a small torch, should create enough expansion to unscrew.

If you heat the whole head and both sides expand evenly it won't unscrew, so just heat the top or the bottom.
I’ll try this, thank you for the suggestion.

Regardless you may want to order a second coil as they do eventually go bad and having two would mean less wear and tear removing the heads.. This way you would only need to remove the head to switch if a coil fails.

Yeah that’s probably the simplest solution. That way I can say screw it for now and leave it stuck at least until I feel like dealing with it. I’ll order a new coil today. Thanks for the suggestions all around.

Last suggestion; if you’re not lifting the head and clearing your glass at the end of each draw you’re greatly increasing your chance of problems like residue buildup in the head*, and that could contribute to this kind of sticking.

*That may be the only way people are getting residue in the head. I’ve never noticed any and my head always comes off easily.

Am I the only one anyone that thinks the name WeedEater makes it sound like a weed hog vs. WeedhEater? :hmm:

Changing the name might also avoid a potential lawsuit from the company Weed Eater trying to sue for copyright infringement. :worms:
