Well you can check the price at your local post site,as for return shipping you can check what is it at the official site lamart.ch,it probablt autocalculates according to country. I dunno what is the situation now ,but i've sent my TUBO for and i didnt take FJ long to fix it.
Your tubo is still in warranty so i guess repair will be free of charge, unless it wasnt something that isnt covered by warranty,i admit i havent dived into the details, but even than a replacement of the glass joint should be cheap.

There isn't something like a temperature sensor :)
Temperature is calculated by the resistance of the coil(s). So your error could be resistance related. Maybe your resistance is not locked?

Menus --> Coils --> Manage --> TUBO here the locked symbol has to be set

Thank you for the explanation!
I checked my tubo last night, the coil resistance is locked (0.197 Ohm).

Any of you have another idea what might be the reason for (sometimes) not recognizing the temperature drop while drawing?
Especially because sometimes it works like exspected.

Thank you in advance!

@holger Hey ! Maybe battery cant supply enough watts to compensate. Does it happens also with a fresh charged battery ?
I remember that i could easily overpower my TUBOevic especially with the 30q when they it was below 60% charge.(for the record my 30q seemed also to be underperforming compared to other 30q at least compared to member feedback onboard).
What battery are you using ?

I am using SE US18650 VTC6 and INR18650-30Q batteries (before and after the problem occured).
Tried it fully charged, but the problem is still there :(.
I also made an firmware upgrade to be sure that there is no software problem.

When I enable eco mode (value: 1) and I draw in cruise mod, the eco symbol keeps showing. I recorded a little movie which shows the display while drawing.

It seems that the temperature is very high with > 300° C.

@holger My tubo was doing that first time it bricked. but also it showed me zero resistance.
Does your Tubo work in other modes than eco ?
Maybe @funkyjunky will chime in soon to diagnose the issue for real.

Thank you for your reply. No it doesn't work in the other eco modes either.
I also think that my device is bricked.
When I insert a new battery it shows resistance .000 for a short time but then it displays a higher resistance (e.g. .242) than I configured in the settings (.197). After I start WarmUp/Cruise mode it shows the correct resistance.
Maybe this is another indicator that something is wrong with my unit.

I hope for a quick look of @funkyjunky at my problem. Maybe he knows whats wrong.

Nevertheless thank you for your help @Abysmal Vapor :)!

Ever thought about building a desktop unit? The Tubo heater is one of the best (if not the best?) out there, but needs power like hell. One cell is not enough for a big bowl with a 50/50 weed/hash mix.
never came around to list the power adapter on the store. its till on the todolist haha. i do put them together on request tho and as @Gray Area said you can get the complete package or just the shell+connector. shipping is high for the complete package since the psu (rsp-200-4) is a bit heavy.

So today my beloved less than one month old tubo evic cracked inside the heater. I was just wondering if anyone knows the price and turn around time to fix the unit.
thats a bummer! but its repairable. glass breakage is not covered by the warranty, the cost of repair for the female joint is $35 plus shipping. contact me via email and ill give you the shipping address.

the high temperature reading almost always points to a resistance problem. you can try increasing the coil resistance in menu>coils>manage at line TUBO by 0.005 at a time, see if you can get the performance back. if it doesnt work or gets worse again ill have to open it up and see where the problem is.

happy late 420!

never wanted to beat that one ;)
It's been a while folks ;)
And in the meantime I got an awesome Tubo package from @funkyjunky.
Stems, capsules, PA shell...
I might upload a picture of the PA later. :)
Unfortunately I was in the middle of 2-months break so I had to get some other herbs to test :D
Peppermint was the only convincing alternative (best taste) I tested.

I already love the ease of premade capsule switching, although they are a bit large for my usual bowls.
Capsule stem (medium) is nice, handy and more stealthy than large glass mouthpieces. Not cooling as well though (with amaze insert, can't switch to spiky, it's too snug). But great for outdoors and less fumbling around :)
Also less hot than long bent stem without amaze. And good looking

I'm looking forward to getting more experience with all the new stuff

the evic vtwo mini is no longer in production and i am running out of units. :uhoh: already purchased some fake ones when trying to score the "last ones" from ebay, pay attention! :cuss::worms:
anyhow, it was an absolute pleasure to build this model and i am super thankful for how well it was receive

Well this is interesting, until now the dual was more of a rarity but now it might actually turn around...

I called the Joyetech line that came with the eVic to see of they had extras at the Orange county Facility and they said they still have a few refurbished units that they'd send out if we were insistent on getting a new one under warranty but their "upgrading" the warranties to the "Cuboid" series if something were to crap out in warranties of the eVic's I guess. Here at least.

Got me an eVic VTC Dual and paired the TUBOx with my Mobius clone. Holy fuck, preheated at 235°-240°, depending on material, this combo gives the hugest, milkiest clouds I ever got, hitting you like Thors hammer :D

HI there,

I will hopefully be getting my tubo in the coming 1/2 weeks but still had a few questions:

The tubo will be my first vape so I don't have a lot of stuff yet and I was wondering whether I need to get a (coarse) grinder or whether breaking up the nuggets would work just as well.

Also, I've read that some people. When filling the stem do not cap the top. when holding the vape upright what would then prevent material from falling down into the heating elements? Looking forward to trying it out!

Hey ! @Bolduque Welcome to the forum... That is one hell of a choice for a first vaporizer :)).. Do you have any experience with mod boxes / ecigs ?
Grind doesnt really matter that much if you stir.. Anyway i hate touching stuff with hands because hands got oils and dirt and i dont wanna vape that :D... ,so i use a cheap grinder and a small tool like a spoon to load is what i mostly use. Thinking of getting a Stainless Steel one from the BLack Leaf series at some point ,cause i hate plastics and aluminum. and it is widely available in the EU.
I use my vaporizer at home most of the time ,inverted, connected to my water tool, but if i was to use it like you describing,i would definetly put and arizer cap over the load.
Someguys dont mind stuff falling into their vaporizer :D... looking at other threads and the build decks of some 510 dry herb attys, they look like Sahara. I am quite on the the other side. I often remove the screen inside the tubo heater for cleaning and use the vacuum cleaner with a sock as membrane ,so it doesnt scracth the tubo.

Hey and thanks! Yeah I had borrowed an arizer air 1 a few times from a friend but thought it was time for my own, after a lot of searching it seemed clear that this thing is unbeatable! I'm only looking for something to vape at home anyway, so I don't care much for how well it conceals.

That sounds like a good way to start regarding the grinder, I was already looking at an slx 2.0 or California shredder but I guess I don't have to go all out immediately. If I would not like to stir, would that then mean that grinding would be preferred?

I don't think I will be going towards water any time soon (we vape maybe twice a month), so I'll just make sure to cap it off! Any other general tips?

Yeah you will get better extraction with grinding for sure, also you can try just filling up those little baskets screens instead of loading the whole joint with it as a cap. I typically get better performance this way, much more efficient at least, and great taste. The heater screen will protect from bits, but you can take the first hit upside down, then the load will stick in the screen even if you shake it (and also tamp it in a bit)

Great choice @Bolduque ! :)
For the long run a grinder is nice to have but it's not required really.
I mostly cap my load (double baskets for example) but it does kinda work without because the screen inside Tubo keeps stuff from falling too deep in. You can shake crumbs out if they get loose and there's the vacuum method too.

As general tip I would say enough batteries/multiloader or the power adapter since the heater is a little beast which it's batteries. Also my water tool gives the smoothest of all experiences even without water so maybe consider it at some point especially if you only use it at home.

go to lamart.ch then to 'manual', learn it, understand the differences between 'On Demand' To 'Cruise mode', understand what is Power mode / TCR etc'..

with a device like tubo, you need to know when stop vaping by the taste of the vapor you inhale -
if you go further on the same filled bowl you'll probably going to combust the herb

good luck ;)

Right now I do not vape that often at all (a few nights per month). Wouldn't just filling the caps (I guess this is effectively micro dosing) mean that I am constantly putting new cannabis in? Our current routine with the arizer is that we are just vaping for a few 10 minute sessions on the (refill once or twice, 0.2g I think)

Related, on what temperatures do you guys vape? Having read quite a few pages I this thread I was now thinking on a single larger filling (whole joint) to do one session 180-190c and then a second session between 200-220 to finish it off, is that a good idea? I have no experience in using the ABV afterwards.

I've bought 4 LG HG2's with an external battery charger, from what I read that should be more than enough for our needs! I got the bent spiked piece, a short wooden piece and a whip. I was also thinking of getting one of ddaves mouthpieces as ive read a lot of positive things about them!

@GoldenBud, I've already read the manual about 3 times over! I think I am more or less prepared! And I guess I'm going to learn as I go along how long I can last with the material. I hope to be able to do longer sessions at least

You can do that but be aware that the effects of those sessions will be a bit different because you get different cannabinoid concentrations on the different temps. Especially since you vaped alot of the "high" stuff out already, the second session would be more "stoned" in my experience.
But totally doable.

Awesome! It mostly sounds like something we'll have to try out!

One thing I did not see in this thread, can the tubo evic be used to smoke hasj? How would one go about doing that?

Cover the hash with a little bit of weed from all sides, start with lower temp than 230 - it may get you cough
