So what temps have you guys been using. I found that I like 550F.

It varies by brand and their extract type/consistency. I'm usually around 500F-550 for the pods I use; typically co2 oil.
How did it go?
I can't believe all the stuff I read about these being so hard to refill, I just tried yesterday and it was super easy. Too bad we can't get anything decent to refill with around SoCal.

Just filled them up this afternoon. Went fairly smoothly, especially for my 1st time filling them.
I used an 18g blunt tip needle, and warmed the syringe with a hair dryer to reduce the viscosity of the oil. Then it was as simple as inserting the needle through the mouthpiece and pushing it past the rubber bung. Then I just filled her up!
I wanted to make sure I had the oil runny enough that I could just fill from one side of the pod, and have the oil flow into the other half.
I think I might have put closer to 0.6g in one pod, and 0.4g in the other pod, but the full one doesn't seem to be leaking anywhere. Will be testing them over the next few days to see how they perform.
But ya, overall, super easy. And with 1g syringes around $25-30 out the door last time I shopped, it's hard to beat that price point.

You found the PAX easy? I did not. I thought Stiiizy far easier. I couldn't even open the pod without tools. How did you do it?

Yeah you can just slip a luer lock syringe down the mouthpiece, right alongside the rubber stopper. You'll be able to see the syringe tip from the viewing window when it's in. The rubber stopper closes by itself when you pull the syringe out.
@OldNewbie any prefilled applicator brands syringes in the California market with cannabis derived terpenes? I think Select has some but I haven't tried them.

Actually not that pleased with my refills performance with straight CO2 oil. It appears to be too thick and not wicking at all.
When using the same CO2 oil in CCells, the area around the heater would get warm enough to thin the oil to wick. That doesn't appear to be happening here.
I forced it to melt/wick with a hairdryer the other day (after the initial priming), and am going to have to do it again before I can use it again.
Disappointing, I have no real desire to manually mix terpenes, it's so messy and there's always loss. But after going back to a prefilled cart this past week, the Era's flavor is MUCH better.
Will need to keep experimenting.
That's really strange, I've bought a lot of pods with straight co2 oil, I wonder why you're having troubles with the refill. Does the oil run at all in the pod or Ccell at room temperature? I filled a pod with some sauce the other day and was having wicking problems as well, I feel like I didn't quite melt the THCA crystals down enough and they were acting like a thickener on my sauce.

No, it doesn't really run at room temp. It's a super viscous oil, border line pasty consistency at room temp. But it thins out to a beautiful golden oil with just a little bit of heat, maybe 10 to 20 degrees F if I had to hazard a guess right now.
So it was never really an issue in the CCell's because I guess there was enough heat transfer from the coil to to the oil in the tank.

I’ve had several pods where the oil slides down into the lower part and basically goes to waste. Anyone else? I’ve tried always storing it off the pax. Wonder if I should start storing them upside down? Might just switch to carts...
I've not had that happen ever with my Pax. What brand of pods do you typically use?

This is why I went back to CCELL carts. Nothing tastes better and is more reliable then a ccell. Pax always leaks into the bottom part and that oil is not salvageable. Besides that, I’ve been weighing them and they only fill them up to .35. Half the time you can’t get a good hit and you taste the wick. So unreliable. Done with pax forever
Could be an issue with the way your processor is formulating their oil. I've honestly never had any of those problems with my Era.
I switched to the Era because Ccells kept clogging on me. Haven't been having those clogging problems lately though so Ccells are back in rotation, but I prefer the Era/pod platform overall though.
IME dry hits are much more likely to occur with a Ccell than a pod, particularly with 1g Ccells as their length causes oil to displace way past the oil inlet if they've been laying on their side for a while and are even a little empty. Era wicks being fully bathed in oil never taste like wick to me, but I use pretty low temps, always under 550F.

Just out of curiosity, what does wick taste like? I use the Era with 7 or so different pods, and on occasion get a strong, unpleasant taste. Is that wick?

I still luv my Era.....never had any leaks or bad tastes or other problems. I have not tried to refill yet as I had got a bunch of prefills and it will take me awhile to get to the bottom of one.
I think anyone that has issues with leaking....might be a issue with viscosity from the filler entity. In my state Mary's Medicinal's contracts a local large grower to produce and fill.
I have been using it at 512F lately...usually never needed to go over 520....but I can imagine if you get some live resin or other types that are not regular distillate....those might need more power to vape well.

Saw guy taking hit on sidewalk, nothing strange about that. What was strange, was that it looked like he was vaping his phone. Era or Juul, whatever, was attached to the back with a Juul sleeve. Googled, and sure enough, it's a product class. Guess if you're gonna carry both ...

Get why people try refilling Pax/Hanu Stone pods but don't buy the value proposition. A selection of fresh curated oils, plug and play, no muss or fuss, instant gratification, these devices are the first oil delivery systems I haven't rejected. Just said "no" to torches, skillets, and bangers, shatter, wax, etc. Not as elegant or natural as vaping flowers and life is too short. I don't mind paying a few bucks more for a fresh curated pod. PM me if you want to buy my empties.

After conducting extensive side by side comparisons of Hanu Stone and the Pax Era I’m startled how much more I prefer Hanu Stone. Both brands are functionally similar employing plug and play pre-filled pods yielding encapsulated THC concentrate without muss or fuss. They both deliver on this promise, with the proviso that Hanu Stone pods are far stronger than Pax. Terpenes taste fresher, the buzz is bigger and lasts longer, and the clouds are thicker with Hanu Stone. Hanu Stone’s bigger battery accounts for some of this. Pax pods use a wick, and Hanu Stone uses a ceramic system which also contributes to better taste. Hanu Stone’s design is far more elegant than Pax Era. Pax feels disposable and looks like a Juul, which is its kissing cousin. I’d compare Pax to an entry level Dell. Hanu Stone feels more substantial, solid, and well balanced, like a Mac. Hanu Stone pods are available in 1 gram. Pax Era tops out at .05 grams.
