Thanks. I’ll have to check when I am home tonight. @JCat built me a pin adapter for NV coils to my Auber. I’ll have to see if this would work. I really don’t want another control box seeing as I already have two
I think the herborizer might be DC voltage if I remember correctly ...

You welcome man, however also consider that we can't just take for granted it will be that straightforward to purchase the heater part without the controller because it certainly isn't listed I don't believe on the website and only comes as a system or a pack currently.

So you would have to contact the inventor and ask him about this and what he is willing to offer. Good luck getting thus configured.

hi @Alexis , I actually do have a question now (I actually managed to break the bowl and had to order a new one... clumsy me, yay).
What temperature do you think works best and how much product do you use? I'm still trying to figure it out, to be honest. 350 degrees seems too low. It hardly changes color

Hey man. Be careful with those bowls. I have never broken a Herbo bowl, but compared to many it would seem, I have a very good track record with glass.

I just go straight for the leader of the pack lol, and bust the whole vaporizer up bad lol! It just landed in France for repair.

On the temps, well you have probably used your digital unit more than I used my own by this stage and I can't really give you any specific advice accept just increase the temperature and see what happens you've got nothing to lose if it's a bit too hot and harsh and browns the load to quickly go down again and vice-versa.

The world is your oyster as they say. Try 380 maybe? I did notice with this device that there is a very large range of temperature to get acceptable, smooth and pleasant vapor. Vapecritic did favour higher temps, but his unit arrived set in farenheight so Im not sure of the exact correlation to Celsius. Did you try higher temps yet?

Also experiment with draw speed because you may find at a slower draw gives you a better extraction and darker ABV but it could also be vice-versa, like a quicker, stronger inhalation may actually get the extraction and vapor production going better. So play around with draw speed.

However, let's be clear about one thing- ABV doesn't need to be dark brown for sufficient extraction to have taken place particularly with convection devices.

I admit I do push most of my loads to a fairly darkened level just to satisfy me that I'm not being wasteful but I I'm sure that I was tipping out my Ti loads still fairly light in colour but feeling as though I had gotten loads of vapor and effect from the amount of material and not feeling cheated at all.

350 was hot enough for me. I found it to be extremely efficient at this temperature it would take quite a few draws to fully extract but I would seem to get so much vapor from the bud with taste staying good and vapour level high throughout the load.

Sorry man I'm not sure what else to advise I don't have a working unit and don't actually have that much experience with the Ti anyway.

I dont expect it will take long for Sebastien to hook me back up running again, then I hope to make some clearer observations so that I can fulfill my contractural obligations here to represent Herborizer hehe.:lol:

Gotcha! I actually LOVE the taste of it. I was just confused because some people described it as a 1 hitter, which I don't think it is (and it shouldn't be!). So i'll just hit that good stuff more often!

I guess the only annoyance I have is that there's no manual for which temperature the on the display = temperature in bowl? That would be really nice to know. The manufacturer should really work on getting more information on the site, ESPECIALLY about the DigiTi, which doesn't even have pictures for the system only.. no manuals either online.

No offense but that is personal preference. As i stopped smoking for vaping i was a 1 hit smoker, so it really helped to get to 1-hit vaping. And the herborizer provides it all, you can preheat the bowl and 1 hit everything that goes in (if you can manage that), or you just go for convection only, without preheated bowl, for better taste and longer sessions.

You have good taste if you go preheated, and just stop pulling after some clouds appear in your glass, so you get the good taste, after that it will be "roasty". If you go for 1 hit, you have a mix of fresh and roasty taste.

I dont have the herboTi Digi but it will be the same as with the analog herbo ti.

Hello mate, nice to see you back here and great that you are still enjoying your Herbo.

Yes indeed, treat analogue and Digital units as the same. However, as we have already positied and theorized, it may be the case that the digital unit will require less bowl preheating due to the more reactive and powerful heater which could possibly maintain a more stable temp during the first hit.

Differences would be very small however in terms of actual perception but may occur.

But also yes, you can certainly get a faster, one hit extraction by tweaking variables. Many now happily retired Ti owners in this thread lol, began using their Herbo's this one hit extraction way from day 1, and never looked back.

Sorry if i missed something out, just got triggered by the 1 hitter that it shouldnt be. ;) Thats why i wanted that sublimator and was fully satisfied with the decision for buying the herborizer instead, because of the 1 hit vaping skills it has.

Guys, good news at last, fresh from Seb just today, damn he's QUIIIICK! He only received my damaged DigiTi yesterday, how about this for service?

:):)"I hope you are fine. We received your package yesterday. I did tests yesterday afternoon, The problem was not very serious, it is the thermocouple of the titanium diffuser which was damaged.
I change the heating element + thermocouple, your injector works perfectly. this incident is my fault, because I forgot to limit the operating temperature (alarm) to 500°C on the digital controller.
Now I have programmed your digital controller so that the alarm goes off when the temperature reaches 500°C (maximum temperature of use). I enclose the user manual, for programming, but
I checked everything. Unfortunately, technically I can not make the thread to your measurements, I made changes, the wires are now teflon with a kevlar sheath, they are connected directly to the heating element (without connection) to avoid disconnections.

All the wires are 1m long. It's a little longer than your original wire. Your repaired injector + programmed controller are shipped today! Of course the repair is free.":):)

Top customer service again with a smile. Gotta love Sebastien, once you are in the door, he takes care of you for life.

@Alexis is the silence a good sign?;)
Hey mate. Not quite. So I got my DigiTi back a few weeks ago. Packed up all my loose wires for other vapes (not many I have in rotation tbf), cleaned a space. Set up Herbo. Switched on, it started climbing instantly towards the set 350 C. I lowered it to 330. After 3 mins-ish it was sitting steady at 330.

I had the display facing away while I carried on tidying my room. I had a fresh load ready. I finally sat down to vape, and noticed the injector temp was only 47!

No heat, no power going to the heater at all, which registers being connected, but just sits idle at room temp.

So, no joy. Obviously some other problem which Seb didn't locate. So it has to go back again, but Ive been too ill to post it off. Not that bothered to be honest as Im really struggling with health issues. I will be sure to keep you all posted.

Thanks for thinking of me bro. Hope you are doing alright. Dude, I loved reading about your amazing experiences with those super sativas @Hogni was asking about. It sounds incredible, that is exactly what I need in my life.

And big credit to you for being so quietly humble, when you clearly lnow your stuff. I would sure love to session with you and hear some tales.

Thanks for the kind words, hit me PM anytime
Thanks. Yes it was a disappointment. But hey, life goes on bro! Im sure Seb will check it over good and thorough thus time, and have it functional and dependable. Gonna make sure it goes back this week.

And...forget pm's bro, I'm coming for a session! ;)

@Alexis, fuck it! I'm so sorry for your still not working Herbo! Hope you'll have the power to send it back again. Super Sativas? :hmm:
I've to ask about again (can't even remember I did it in the past). That fucking old bastard seems to lose his memory...which Super Sativas?
BTW was for 10 days in Barcelona, also at the Spannabis. All those youngsters seem not to know what a real Sativa is. We visited about 10 SCC, saw and tested a lot of so-called "Sativas" but only could enjoy a great Haze at the Spannabis. Fucking Hybridization disfiguring specifications beyond recognition. But the next months will change the game for me :D

 Hey good friend. Super pleased to see you surface here after a little break, you were 8n my thoughts bro, just assuming you busy in life having fun hopefully.

I was sure you would be back, which was something to look forward to (or so I thought, seems a bit shit now ;)).

No big problem over my DigiTi. Tbh Im still busy trying to get well enough to enjoy it more easily. Its packaged up for return anyway, I just need to book it. Seb is on hols this week in Morocco, lucky bugger.

Maybe you didnt read @Zak McKracken 's amazingly insightful, concise commentary on the strains you asked him about in the Sativa thread? Check to be sure. That Malawi etc.
Respect to that dude man, he sounds as if he has some knowledge and experience for sure.

Anyway nice to have you back @Hogni hope to see you around.

Yep, very busy for some weeks, broken rib by accident, the real flu for two weeks and just on the way of recovering I had/wanted to start my hard Barcelona journey, so all in all a mediocre way for spending my time ;)
Now I get it. Malawi  Will give it a try this year also. Had a nice time with Dubi from AceSeeds at the Spannabis.

My mum helped me to clean up the last but there are a couple of tiny water marks which we did not manage to completely clear 100% from the downstairs not that it looks bad but the whole thing got put on hold temporarily due to health conditions and temporarily turned into long-term like so many other planned ventures in life.

So the injector is in perfect working condition and has had hardly any use and comes with a virtual lifetime warranty anyway because Sebastien will always take care of his customers whether you are the original buyer or not all the Warranty has expired etc as long as you are reasonable and fair he will take care of you with a smile.

However I have a complete package which I will only want to sell as one piece of kit so this may not appeal to you. I have been meaning to make this happen for quite some time but just haven't been well enough to think clearly or be proactive about it. But we can talk about it if you like and see where we stand.

And im really sorry Buddy that I don't think I did actually officially welcome you here since your December join date. How rude of me, things have been hella tough between then and now.

Anyway...welcome aboard, but I see you are already at home and nice to have you chipping in here.

Edit- Q2- the XL has very good flavour. It works quite differently to a lot of the others we are accustomed to, in that it extracts very gradually and consistently and evenly and works better with a larger load where you do not need to tend to monitor and stir the load so much, you can continue to vape with fairly large clouds for a longer time before you actually need to stir the load.

So the taste stays good for longer. Stirring often enough keeps flavour better and more consistent, as well as vapor production at a maximum. The flavour of the XL is very high quality. My friend owns both the XL (since 2011) and Ti (May 2017). He prefers the XL, which is his primary daily driver at home and he uses the Ti as a travelling and mobile vape. He finds that the XL has better flavour and works more consistently and he prefers less maintenance and a more gradual extraction where the taste and pleasantness is preserved for longer.

I really appreciate your reply! Do you have the G43 ? same vapor quality?
No I don't have one yet. But going by my gut and being honest with myself I would actually expect the XL to have better vapour quality than the G43. Bud practically admits, or rather willingly confesses (although maybe not in so many words), that the Ti is a good notch above the G43 for flavour and vapor quality, Im sure he would also concede on effects as well.

The XL has virtually the same levelmof vapor quality. But hey, don't quote me on that. ;)

What temp on the dial gets the bong milked with flavorful vapor? And do you have a link for local mesh screens that will fit for backups? it says 17 mm but im gonna measure just to be sure.

Hi @Ctipp22,
I heatsoak the bowl for about 10-15 min. (longer is better) while preparing for a session. I get flavorfull and slightly milky hits on dial 7 but lower settings like 5-6 will also work. But sometimes i like to rip my Herbo on 8 - but then::myday: "Please ask your physician or pharmacist about the risks and side effects" or get prepared to get wrecked :whoa:

Good advice for @Ctipp22 @vapmanjoe . Yes 7 is a good balance for clouds, effect and smoothness while preserving that amazing trademark flavour.

6-6.5 can certainly yield very satisfying hits, with even better flavour it has to be said but arguably slightly underwhelming effects and as the XL is already such a gentle extractor, I always tended to just stick to around 7 on the dial.

Going higher is certainly an option. At 8 it becomes considerably more beastly. Personally with my extremely sensitive respiratory system I was only ever able to tolerate up to setting 7 and even 7.5 would cause noticeably more irritation for me personally whereas 7 was always ok just about.

So @Ctipp22 just play around. At 8, a smaller load will work. 7 or less, I would suggest a fair sized load, like 0.33 upwards. 0.5 is good. It doeasnt go stale, popcorn for a long time. Starting with a coarser grind works very well to to prolong the load and allows you to break the herb down more finally as you go along and aggregates to release new bursts of flavour and keep that vapor production equally dense for a longer time.

Good luck with it man. Im super excited for you. I wanna hear all about it.:popcorn:

(Ps. Dont tell Seb how much Bud made selling on his FREE XL.) ;)
