Hello,

Does anybody of you noticed diffrences in hight betweeen portables and desktop vaporizers? No matter how much i vape with portables ( crafty, Solo) I did not get the same intense high as from desktop unit, in my case arizer extreme? Maybe I am wrong, but I think that filled ballon has much oxygen inside, and breathing intense just one oxygen can make you little high. See holgraphic breath technigue

For a minute, I thought you meant how tall they each were. I used a crappy vape pen with just pressed rosin last night, and it packed a whollop unmet by desktop. I'm going to assume you meant for flower? Or do you want concentrate comparisons as well? The air being blown into the balloon isn't going to concentrate oxygen somehow. The air to vape ratio might be higher than from the whip, but the oxygen stays the same.
I would think a good portable could outperform a crappy desktop. Are there specific models you want compared? Are you looking for a recommendation for a portable? I love, love, love my Extreme Q, but as far as the balloons go, I'm surprised your Crafty and Solo doesn't beat it.

Madri-GAL,

I mean for flowers. I am comparing arizer extreme to solo. My fault, sure it is higher air to vape ratio, not oxygen. So I am thinking that the higher air to vape ratio, the higher effect. When I am vaping Solo, I try to bring glass tube not to the middle of the lips, but to the side, so that I can draw air as well, with other mouth edge and i add some air to the vape this way.

The higher air to vape would dilute the vapor, the same as adding water to juice would, for example. Most report getting more impact from the whip than balloons for this reason.
Someone should be along soon, who can speak to Arizer EQ vs. Solo. I don't yet have a Solo. Not sure I "need" one yet.

Damn, I guess I need to work on my one-liners instead of writing a book; seems to work at least as well!
Only for those of us with short attention spans. I have Vapor Induced Amnesia, and rarely remember from the first line to the last what the topic even is. Honestly, when I saw "portables vs. desktop vaporizers" in the heading, I thought it was going to be a battlebots kind of deal. My bad.

The difference between desktop and portables is night and day. Performance doesn't degrade over time nor battery. They can hit way harder. There are exceptions like G43, Tubo, Elev8r, Supreme 3.

Good list of exceptions. I would add my Z in there as well.

And a lot of people will groan at the vapcap being included BUT, just speaking for my own use, a steel tip vapcap with a single torch that’s been given the slow heat up treatment hits me more intensely than running the same amount of herb in my Evo.

Some would also probably include the Grasshopper on this list, maybe even I would have if I could remember what it functions like at 100%. I am so disappointed with its inconsistency that mine just lives in a drawer now because I’ve been too lazy to send it in for another repair.
