So I checked to dr.dabber site and the ball perc and awesome carb cap are gone will they ever be available again? And does the bubble carb cap help the milking at all or is it the same effect as the regular carb cap and is the black perc the same internally as the clear perc?

We had these items available all last week. We recently ran out of stock over the weekend. We will have more available soon. We will also be restocking the Directional Carb Cap soon. Check back next week.

The standard carb cap works good but the bubble cap is a slight improvement. It's really down to personal preference.

The Black glass attachment is the same internally as the standard glass attachment.

The hole in the glass attachment is about 34 mm in diameter.

Unfortunately, not all quartz inserts will fit in our Switch unit. The standard quartz banger insert is too large. You will need to purchase one specifically for the Switch from our website.

There are a couple 3rd party glass blowers that make and sell quartz inserts for the Switch as well.

The Quartz induction cup should have came with a standard Ti cup to place the insert in. If you purchased a 3rd party quartz insert, you will may need to purchase the Ti cup separately. Shoot me an email/DM and we can talk more about this.

I have not heard of any other customers using a quartz insert with the standard induction cups, but this should not cause any issues. Give it a shot and let me know how it works out for you. Make sure you are in Crystal mode when using Quartz or Smooth Ceramic inserts.

Anyone have the ball attatchement ?
How is it? Is it a better experience then the standard glass piece?
Wondering what people think of the new glass attatchement.
It looks very nice with a better angle it seems for the neck and mouth piece, it probably just how I see the pics but it looks like a very nice piece of glass.
What’s your thoughts?

I have the ball attachment, it is a step up from the original standard. The smaller profile seems to be less of a tilt hazard. I use mine dry, but it does a great job with water as well. Strictly from an aesthetic point of view, I think the ball looks better.

When I use the Switch I have been using my Mav glass piece for it, really nice. I also have a little FTK being made for it! Plus, with this simple little adapter, I use it with all of my standard 10mm, 14mm, and 18mm pieces! Still playing with carb caps, alot more work with the new top seal. but it's hard to beat the Ti Tsunami cap with it.

Mother fu....er just got my bubble cap and SOB hit the floor never used it yet or my switch was waiting for my ball atactchement incredible just my luck so predictable.

IMO there are better caps, including the stock one.
I have 4 bubble caps I can use with it including the one from Dr Dabber, the Mav glass one, a Coojo cap, and a big 50mm bubble cap and they all blow oil out of the quartz cup unless you either use a tiny dab, or barely pull air through it. Pull a little too hard and the dab is on the rim and outside of the cup with the bubble caps. I use the directional and surface caps more myself, you aren't missing much IMO.

But if you really want to try one the performance of this and the one you dropped are pretty close. These are 2 for $10, for when you drop one. lol

I know this might be out there, but when we look at the switch in flower mode we have discussed the lack
of air flow causing wispy vapor and thus making it a must to high temp the herb which then produces smoky / vapor which is not appealing to a lot of people.
I was wondering if you took a vapexhale herb basket which fits inside a induction cup I checked and fill it with herb.
The herb chamber will be much taller then the induction cup.
so I was wondering with the extra room in the herb chamber and being above the cup do you suppose the air would move enough to work its way through the herb in the chamber to produce more vapor?
I think if there was some kind of herb bucket for the air to run through and across it might do a better job like a glass piece with some kind of cyclonic upward action to produce a sort of upward whirlwind to move air through a herb basket resting in a glass holder above the heater and mouth piece.

just a thought I never tried it I just was thinking about the concept.
if its a concept lol

I have plenty of baskets for my Evo, and I suppose I can test it for you, for science sake. But honestly, I haven't used the Switch for flower at all. It doesn't seem like it would be its strong suit based on design. And I am a snob about good vapor. I can't imagine the vapor being as tasty as an Evo or even a Milaana/Splinter , so I haven't tested it. But mainly because I almost never vape flower, I use concentrates to medicate 99% now. Come to think of it the last few times I used a flower vape it was the Supreme, because it hits like a dab. If I was going to get back into flower I would get the damn flowerpot anyway. For now I will continue squish and extract any flower that crosses my path!! Muahahaha


Ok, digress, I went off topic a little there. lol I can try it out eventually but I'm sure one of the other guys that vape flower may get to it first.
Ok, Speaking of Evo, I have an idea for another adapter. This one would be for Hydrotubes but it would work for any other rigs with a whip as shown in the first adapter.
The key to this design would be getting the carb cap hit hole the perfect size and angled directly at the center of the 50mm base. I actually have the glass to make it, It's just a 50mm female to an 18mm male that has a perfect little carb hole in the top like the stock cap but perhaps angled differently. Hell, Some glass blower could use the stock cap in the design and just add the 18mm joint with a little torch magic.

Just got my bal attatchement in still haven’t even tried the switch yet, I’m hav8ng hard time getting myself into the switch like it’s so nice to look at and glass hates me so I’m a bit hesitant for no reason at all except for it being new and unused intimidating looking thing for me to tip over and break the glass lol
How should I start off with this thing?

I recommend starting in standard mode with low temp and working your way up from there. Once you are comfortable with the unit and functionality, move on to advanced mode. Advanced mode will allow you to dial in the prefect temp for any material. I recommend the same in advance mode, start low and work your way up.

well finally used my switch just now and have to say wow..i really like it.
i'm really impressed with the smoothness of the switch with the ball perc and found myself actually enjoying my whole dab sesh which would make me cough most of the time but not with the switch.
I used the oil mode on green #3 and had 3 full rounds and it tasted real nice even at the end it was still decent it didn't taste burnt I cant ell you how much rosin I put in but enough to give some nice relaxed clouds nothing insane but pleasurable.
now the herb mode was interesting but not as bad as I expected from all ive read here on fc.
I tried some herb I grew GG#4 and packed the cup tight and used the white ceramic top as directed and used green on #3 and it produced decent flavour and vapor through 2 rounds.
then I put it up to #4 and I tasted the burn lol, I get what everyone is saying but I didn't mind it to much and after smoking all night and then using the switch one cup oil and one cup herb i'm fuckin nice and medicated.
vaporizing allways impresses me and reminds me what it feels like to be nicely medicated, and the switch has done just that made me nice and medicated using only two products in two cups and wow i'm feeling nice.
honestly I feel this more then all 5 joints I smoked tonight restless unable to sleep, and I can say I will be using the switch again probably in the next half hour to a hour depending on how I feel but as for now I fell great lets see hoe long this sesh helps me feel better, time is a great measure for pain management ill see how effective the switch is for my pain control so far so awesome lol.

Hey Mark, I see you buy every E-rig in sight like I do. I look forward to your Switch Vs. Peak. Vs Carta thoughts after you have had them for a while.

Update: I had been playing with my Peak a lot more since buying some opaque quartz inserts and custom glass, but I still rotate around to the switch a lot! It's just a different beast and it's fun to play with in general. Plus if you are going away for a weekend trip, this is your guy!
I just ordered a little custom FTK rebuild for the Switch, hopefully it will work out. Until then I snagged this great looking Mav Glass piece. Been loving it!

Ya I have every new higher end vaporizers, sublimator, herbalizer, SSV, Ditanium, carta, peak, switch, mv1, iq, firefly2, pax 1/2/3, evo crafty, just to name a few lol
I have a bad case of VAS sick for 20yrs and have been medical grower since and have tried everything out there giving some away to other but keeping the best vapes for my medical needs.

Anyaway that’s a beautiful glass piece, I just got a custom bubbler for my peak, $475 can how much for your glass piece I want one lol
I do like the carta very smooth, but the switch is a relaxing piece and performs nicely smooth as well
tastes good and I thought vapor production was great, no complaints yet.
Honestly the peak is my least favourite one not for any reason other then form factor and efficiency.
How do I load pics I’d love to sends some .
And by the way what’s that other glass piece you showed in the othe post?

I'm totally new to dabbing and just ordered a switch after reading the forum for a while. I got the quartz insert. What would you recommend to do at first? Use the ceramic inserts and learn there before trying the quartz mode?

I’ve never used any other mode than the crystal and started at the highest Blue setting. I just adjust from there… usually higher, if searching for a little more ‘effect’. I’ve only used the quartz inserts from day one. Although I purchased the thick Smooth Ceramic version as well, it’s never been used. Quartz terps can’t be beat. Ordered third party quartz inserts, ruby & sapphire beads to try on for size. Also just ordered the new directional cap and hope this to be a nice combo.
