The Herbalizer

Maybe Herbalizer can sort their crap out now?
Herbalizer is dead and gone for the time being at least.
Perhaps after time, effort and legal ramifications, the original Herbalizer creator and trustees could with prayers and effort get things going again. I would not count chickens prior to hatching, however.
Vitolo , hope all is well. ?? for you.My Herbie whips have seen better days . I can get an original Herbalizer whip from a friend , but I was wondering what brand whip you might recommend . Maybe a little wider than the original one? Thanks for your time.
I have succesfully used 7th Floor (DBV and SSV) tubing, but it fits OVER the chamber nipple rather than inside, with an easy turn mechanism.
https://7thfloorvapes.com/index.php/seventhfloorvapes/replacement-hose-3-ft.html
I use Herbalizers original tubing.
It is not as impervious to resins getting through as SSV tubing, but it is cleanable.
I wipe the outside of Herbalizer tubing down with paper towel wet with 91% Iso... then follow with a dry paper towel.. this leaves the tubing non-sticky on the outside. Clean the inside as normal with Iso/hot soap and water/rinse/vacuum drying.

You can also measure the whips inner diameter, and find suitable replacements at:

^+1. I use vape bags too ^
To clean the whip I use a screw pulled through cotton pads soaked in iso with fishing line tied to the screw. Tie a nail or similar to the other end for weight. Feed the fishing line through the whip. Then pull it through similar to how you would use a bore snake in weapon cleaning. Then wipe the outside as uncle Vito outlines above.

Boy, i missed this band wagon and I am way late to this party. But this vaporizer is absolutly great.

Temperature control. This matters more and more to me. Temperature control on a Herbalizer is perfect. The temperature probe is literally a couple millimeters below your herb. The heatsource is a light bulb that can only reach around 800F max. The processor turns the light bulb heat source on for fractions of time and at variable wattage to only heat the air as much as needed to reach temp and no more. The fan blowing air on the temp sensor setting adds more temp control consistency. Result: when you set the temp, air only at that temp blows on your herb. As a result, even when totally cooked, herb never tastes poorly. No burnt popcorn or charred taste, ever. The flavor of your herb just diminishes as you vape. Increase temp and you will release vapor at that higher boiling point. I love being able dial in temperature for effect and titration very precisely.

Low temps. Low temps taste outstanding and cool. Clean, maybe a little diluted flavor wise. Because of the long whip, maybe? In comparison, a Firefly 2 on low probably has a slightly stronger turpine taste and flavor profile (shorter, glass, vapor path), but it's close. Herbalizer has much bigger cloud production though as all of the herb is heated completely and evenly with never a need to stir. Low temperature taste, clouds, and enjoyability is basically as good as it gets IME.

High temps. The highest temperatures are cool and as cloudy as any vaporizer I've used. The temperature does not go as high as an Evo, so yes an Evo can get bigger clouds, on the margin, on its highest settings. But i rarely go that high (past 3pm on the Evo dial) with the Evo. On regularly used temps, Herbalizer wins on flavor, vapor coolness, with equal or better cloud production; I'd rather use an Herbalizer than my Clouds or Evos or anything else. That's a pretty big statement.

Heat up time. There is not any to speak of. Perfect.

THE FAN. I am a HUGE fan of the fan. More high end vaporizers need this feature. Allows you to get a huge draw in less than a second or three. Makes vaping feel far more natural. Allows you causally take a draw (like a cigarette) and have a casual conversation while doing so. The urge or necessity to look like a idiot drawing for 10-15 seconds is eliminated. I'd love to see a nice fan like this on a portable unit.

Water pipes. You can use them and they work well. Either a hydrotube on top with homemade or purchased connection or with tubing and gong adapters. Larger tubing, I use 3/8" inner diameter silicone with 1/8" wall thickness to reduce flow restriction.

Aromatherapy. Yup does it. Cool. Definitely works. Some reviews say otherwise. They're wrong. It's a nice mild scent. You can ramp it up by putting the steel pad in the herb chamber.

Construction quality. Man some reviews try to criticize this thing for something. Build quality is very good, despite some others saying otherwise. Yes the shell is plastic. But it's nice. The clam shell fits nicely together. I disagree with those who say it doesnt. The LCD screen in color is nice. The fans are quiet. But not silent. Small trade off for having instant heat up and amazing vapor being effortlessly shot into your lungs.

Putting the whip away
. Make a figure 8 with the whip. Then fold in half so it's two small circles on top of each other about the size of where it lay's in the machine. Lay the whip with both ends towards the hinge in the back. Do this and 80% of the time, the whip requires no readjustment and the unit's clamshell closes flush without hassle instantly. Don't think anyone has said this, but it works very well and eliminates that criticism.

Top screen clogging. I've read this criticism and seen a few "fixes." My top screen doesnt clog easily so I dont have this probably at all. I'm a heavy user and cleaning is infrequent, quick, and easy. Place the herb chamber in iso and salt. Shake. Use the included brush and rub the bristles on the top and bottom screen, with salt and iso, for a few seconds. Rinse in hot water. Cleaning done. Whip can be soaked every long while. I haven't cleaned my whip yet and dont see a need yet after daily use for a couple weeks or so.

Bowl size and efficiency. Good size. Filled completely, a heavy user is medicated. A second bowl and you're definitely medicated. Very efficient use of herb.

Time to get medicated. With instant heat up times, from turning on, filling the bowl, and vaping, i'm medicated completely in less than 5 minutes. Hard to beat. Prefilled bowl and I can step downstairs and medicate in 2 minutes, then resume whatever I was doing. Perfect.

Discrete. Looks nice when not in use. Family friendly to the degree it gets no attention out in the open.

Bags. Cheaper admittedly. But old nasty bags aren't my bag. So them being more disposable is not much of downside for me. And no one has to hold the bag while filling. Just lean the empty bag on the lid while filling. It will pop up straight when full.

My favorite. Pushing the vapor through 14 feet of 3/8" inner diameter stainless steel tubing that has been frozen. I do this with the evo and it's great. The fan on the Herbalizer takes this up a notch because no more draw restriction at all! Vapor is menthol cold and very tasty. You can even shoot the cold vapor into a frozen mug and drink the vapor like a milk shake. Bad ass.

Desire to use compared to other vapes in line up. I'm using this vape, a pax 2, a cloud-evo, and a firewood 5 lately. The herbalizer is definately my prefered unit but the others have their times and situations I want them instead.

Bottom line. If anyone sees a deal on a herbalizer on ebay or otherwise, totally worth getting one. Nothing is better that I've used. Even if no warranty. It's possibly a perfect desktop.

Yup, basically. Hadn't seen that!

But I think the ends pointed towards the back hinge instead of the front works much better. No front fan vents to catch on.

Depending on your dexterity and perhaps use/past experience using/storing ropes in the past--the whip can put away even more effortlessly than in that video.

If you look inside the Herbalizer, at the place where the hose is stored, you will see guide marks indicating
where the mouthpiece, and chamber piece go.

Yeah, for sure, I just think the end pieces sit with less hassle (less popping up) pointing towards the back.

You've definitely got some use out of yours it looks like!

X2

It can even be "more perfect" IMO with a couple of small mods.
1. Get @Ratchett 's silicone adapter and you can add an @Oregonglassblower mouthpiece for the all glass superb taste:
Herbie%20%20OGB%20glass%20mp.jpg

2. IMO, the Herbie screw together chamber (is that something from a swingers party?) is not the best.
Perm remove the top half and use a miniVAP Flexicone module (wire basket + screen + hemp filter + silicone top)
for much easier loading, ability to preload unlimited loads, never have to clean Herbie screen, filter keeps ABV dust
in check, etc.
Herbie%20Songs%20HT.jpg

With these simple and inexpensive mods, it truly can be the perfect desktop.
A complete session can be 40 seconds at an exact temp and it really rocks.

Do the pics show---copied from much earlier posts of mine???

I was one of two patients that were BETA Testers for, this device. My first device was hand painted, and looked identical. I got that one in early 2012. The other tester was called SliM ( @Slightly Medicated )
The one you see in that image has been with me since July of 2013. It has put in some time!

I like the silicone adapter (https://delta3dstudios.com/herbalizer-vaporizer-waterpipe-adapter-v2-0/) that was developed a while back and talked a lot about in this forum earlier.

One thing I didn't realize from the pic, though, before I bought it, is that it's very soft silicone. Probably most all silicone stuff is that way. But for some reason I thought it would be stiffer and have a more solid feeling. The softness works out well to have a glass hydratube, or glass stem, because the glass can rock side to side a bit when attached to the unit and still maintain a tight seal. This is nice for hydratube or glass stem (love the pic of the long glass stem!) use b/c you kinda have to lean over the unit while the unit remains stationary on a table.

But i prefer the solid feel of the two piece herb chamber with top screen (and solid quarter turn locking mechanism) or the solid feel of glass gong joints over squishy silicone. I may just spend the money and buy a few chambers (at $40 a pop!) For that reason (feel not performance) I tend to use the stock whip mostly. But whether using a hydratube, bag, or whip--all produce excellent vapor and flavor--all be it with the most slight differences.

FYI - having trouble finding XL size bags and will have to go 3rd party. The ebay accounting selling leftovers from Herbalizer dissolving seems to have run out of all bags for sale.
Herbie parts are getting thin and ya, XL bags are pretty much non-existent. Save those squeeze valves and the two inner parts frrom the herbalizer bag. I've purchased a box of 5 "vape bags" from Amazon for not much. They are 11" x 22" w/ 5-inch opening. See www.Vape-Bags.com

I haven't needed to use one of these yet, but I do have the squeeze-valve and inner parts and once I tangle will report back. There are also Volcano bags, people have said these work as well?

Thanks @CheebaChiefer. Glad I saved a bunch of those green squeeze valves! I'm gonna try those same ones from Amazon as well. I think there was a tutorial some pages back to help with the custom install. Good luck! If anyone knows where to find find stock Herbie bowls I'd love to know. Happy Holidays, all! :)

No prob brother, we Herbie types gotz to look out for each other. Back in October, I was able to buy two(2) Herbie magnetic bowls from POV, they were $59.99 or $69.99 ea.

I notice Maz, the Herbalizer repair guy, hasn't much left, a few power cords and some original screen sets on his E-bay store. I would like to find a couple more of the stash boxes that come with the original unit

I am collecting parts fast as I can, bought two of the pre-packaged parts kits and an extra whip and mouthpiece and POTV came through with two(2) bowl/oven assembly’s so I am set for a long time. Also apparently volcano balloons work on the Herbie.
I can post a picture of this if necessary but I've posted some in the past under my previous username ... its quite simple and very effective .... I filled up a massive party bag

Hey all, can you tell me where to buy screens for this vape now? Are they 14mm screens? I ordered some 15 mm and they are too big. Any help would be appreciated.

do you have the halogen bulb?
How much is that?
Do they use an "industry standard/generic" bulb or something special?

Thanks
