Cooling stems for Splinter, Stempod, Tubo, Lil Bud, Mil

I can't believe I missed this thread. This thread is for me! I <3 cooling stems

I love the tubo, and have a stempod and and v1 splinter on order. I don't really like messing with water. I've realized cooling stems are what I'm after. I also value being able to somehow get at the reclaim through stem milk etc.

If the RBT instagram is accurate my UD support v1 should come with one of their new cooling stems so I'm very interested in trying that

wanna get one of the new stempod cooling stems too.

@HughJundys can you list out the names of the stems you have with the pics? I recognize a bunch but some I don't. It seems "cooling stems" is more of a vape specific kinda item and there's no like central "dry cooling" threads or info resources.

Right now with the tubo I got this stem below from DHgate. not sure what its supposed to be for, but it is great. I'm gonna quote my post from the tubo thread. originally with the tubo I used the plain bent stem. This is SO much cooler. Although maybe not "traditional" spikey cooler, Can recommend this for sure.

I have been loving the Tubo. I picked up one of these at the link below. I'm not even sure what this piece is called or specifically for, but I freaking LOVE it with the tubo.

it cools. it has a nice form factor in hand and you can use it either right side up or hold the tubo upside down. I love holding it updside down to see the screen, the "L" of this MP and the tubo makes it hold like big corn cob pipe, very comfrotable. This piece is great for removing from heat and setting down without spilling everything. when rested on the table tripod style it's very easy to stir or whatever else you want. You can set it down like this with the tubo resting on it if you angle the tubo just right.

Tubo in cruise + this MP is a definite go.

throw it in cruise, let it get up to temp. toss it on this MP. have a drag or two. remove heat (or not), set tubo and mp down. pick back up for another go, or space out and forget it completely and tubo goes to standby and no material harmed in the vaping of this movie.

Any recommendations on a China glass xlr8r vs the modpod labs cooling mouthpiece for a Splinter Z? I have the ddave cooling mouthpiece which works great, but I'd like an option with more open airflow and maybe a little easier to clean.

Both seem to be the same price and I like the glass screen in the modpod stem, but I'd like to hear from anyone who has used both.

Also wondering, as I just noticed a crack in the top dimple of my very pricey XL8R stem :disgust:

True story! And mine was even more because I'm impatient. I bought the stem, paid for shipping, had it sent to a US forwarding address. Paid Duty, Paid to have it clear customs to a Canada warehouse and then paid them to ship it to me. At least everything was 30% off when I originally purchased it.

@Summer - not sure which thread it was, but you were discussing storage for the longer xl8r stems. Am currently using the enano tube with cotton stuffed in the bottom so it doesn't rattle around, have you (or anyone else) found a better solution?

The large snapstashes (with just a tiny bit of cotton) fit the smaller xl8rs, but the enano tube is just a bit too long. Cotton works ok to make it snug but I'd like something with less opacity (I don't want it to be clear at all) and more rigidity.

@muunch ive been using stem tubes from Planet Vape. They are still clear but they have a taper at the top that the stem joint snugs into so no more rattle on shorties. Only downside is it sometimes fits a bit too snug and needs a tap or two to get it free. Been using with Xl8r long , jr, and Stempod cooling stem.

Actually this is a nice looking cooling stem for not much money. Very tempting, but it looks like an ISO joint which would be too long for my females. Has anyone bought this?
I got that one and it fits my custom Z but I'm afraid to use it with the V1 because I think it's too long. All in all it's not bad and of course super affordable. A bit awkward to use since my Splinters are on two battery mods and I try to turn them upside down to remove whatever stem for stirring etc.

I have found the perfect solution for my long custom RBT cooling stem. It is a cleaning/accessory tube that came with my HerbalAire. It widens near the opening which allows the extra girth of the joint so it enters tail end first. The stem doesn't rattle or move much in the tube and the hard plastic makes it completely safe and fully smell proof. It's like it was made for this. (OK, maybe a little rattle)
If you own an HerbalAire you likely have at least one of these tubes. They DO sell them on their site and they are not terribly expensive at 4 for $15, but they are perfect. http://www.herbalaire.com/shop-h22.html

To be honest, if I were making cooling stems for sale I would think seriously about trying to buy these particular tubes in bulk and shipping all my stems in them. It will completely protect them in shipping AND provide an almost perfect carrying tube to extend their longevity. If one felt the need they could always bump their selling price by 2 or 3 bucks.
