Great videos, the glass was so white.

What are you using in the second video if you don't mind me asking? I like the wide bottom on it, that it isn't just a glass base/ring or something. It reminds me of something else I bought that ended up being much, much smaller than I thought.

Second video.....
I'm using an OG Clear Matrix Bubbler by Möbius.....
The Matrix percolator is imo one of the best diffuser system I ever hit.... I’ve hit pillars...frits... Swiss percs... SOL etc etc.... Matrix still at the same level without all the fuzz....
If I hit it through water it makes sense....
Stay vaped....

Arg I suck at folding the fine mesh screens, @jojo monkey how do you do it so well? Yours always just have small creases around the outside, I can't seem to emulate that. I tend to have creases in the center and I get stuff in them. I wanted to order more on the black friday sale and offer to pay extra if you'd fold them all for me.

I think I need to make several small folds instead of bigger ones...

Yeah, HOW does Jojo do it so neatly? There is definitely an art to it. They are tricky and so easy to mess up into a zillion creases. I got a few extras with my GS to keep for other purposes but Im not sure I have the coordination and finesse (okay, I know I dont!)

I think that is a good idea to ask Jojo to shape some for you, I dont expect he would mind.

This is by far my worst attempt at folding the screens so far:

It actually still works surprisingly well.

Hi all...

have used my GS for almost a year now. The heater broke in the first week, not the GS fault, a friend coughed into the bubbler and let water hit the heating element. But the replacement has only been used by me so now it still works like a charm. Love the tasty low temp hits and the enormous clouds you have at higher temps.

But, now a few questions. I got this thing in winter, and all the glass balls seemed to stay in the vape without problems. But then it got warmer in summer time, and suddenly the balls started to fall out.

Imagine about 40 small balls bouncing on my glass table with me trying to catch them before they fall of the table … managing to catch about half of them, and after that crawling around on hands and knees with a flashlight trying to find all lost balls before my cats find them. Ow that was a fun day ;)

Now I inserted one of the metal screens in the bottom to keep the balls from falling out, but what would be the proper way to do this?

Slightly off topic, if I want to get a enail coil that works with the GS supplied temp controller, what should I look for? I haven't seen pin layouts mentioned in any off the coil sales. Should I look for an XLR one and that one should be good?

Have a good one everyone, GS for the win, and a baked Christmas!

ok, I hope these help. I used a wood skewer which can be found at many (if not all) grocery stores. Wood does not scratch glass.

Screen tips:
Pre-shape screens before they go in
When pushing the screen into place, push down on one side and up with the tool on the opposite side
If a fine mesh gets too bent out of shape one direction, flip it the other way(@StormyPinkness )
The thick screens have a cut side the is the better direction to make a bowl. If you flick a screen you can feel the side it wants to bend to.
If the mesh starts to taco (fold at a point) when you push it down, stop pushing and pull the screen out and reshape/restart.

That should not happen. I would be sure that the heater and body are lined up properly using the bead roll test. I'd also check for a break in the heater. If things are looking right and it is happening I can send another body- hit me up symphony.vapor@gmail.com.

Thanks for the one year review!!!!

What temp are you guys running? I set mine for 900F but when I hit the end with a temp gun the hottest part by the neck is 500F but near the tip is only like 400F or less
With the big stadium bowl I run at 850f, with the glass and funnel bowls 750f. Sometimes higher for stickier stuff or larger amounts.

I know at 750f I used a thermocouple to measure the temp on the glass and it was around 280f. I was hoping to use one of @710Coils color changing mood mats to rest the glass symphony on, but it starts to melt around 200f.

looks like a ray gun  so is this thread over now? ie is it released?
Happy new year
Happy new year! It does sorta look like a ray gun if you look at it sideways. A friend once told that the GS looked like something out of a sci-fi movie. The GS is made from custom lab glass parts. All of the parts have an off-the-shelf equivalent to add longevity to the design. My aim was for a person to have an easy time repairing the GS at any point in the future even if the GS is in production or not. I once owned a very custom glass whip vape and once that part broke you were shit out of luck.
The GS is for sale via email and paypal invoice. Email symphony.vapor@gmail.com to get set up.

I want one of these so much!! But we just bought a place and cash is very short. Maybe in the new year....
Congrats on the house! I'll be here!:science:

The way heat moves through glass is very different than metal. This is why the heater tip is cooler.

I vape around 780F w/ the funnel bowl. Like @StormyPinkness said, it depends on the bowl. I try to cycle through the bowls- including using eq baskets.

In a pinch I will just put the bowl in some warm iso for 1-2 seconds and then put it under a faucet. I might repeat 1 or 2 more times, but it's amazing how clean this will get it. I get the water going directly through the screen and it get's rid of 99% of the clog most of the time. It doesn't work well before the iso soak, 1-2 seconds in there really loosens it all up.

This only works for cleaning the screen quick, not so much if below the screen is all sticky. It's especially good for the stadium bowl, my screen on that get's dirty quicker than the actual glass.

I also do this before putting them in the ultrasonic cleaner, a lot of stuff goes down the sink instead of into the bag.

Just went trough the DIY thread of the lab glass vape and it is such a nice thread ! Started the ball game in 2015, hats off the man that pioneered 4 years ago .Now in 2019 we have 3 other vapes that use balls.. This is history of glass ball vapes 101 here ! :D
2015 - The Lab Glass vaporizer @jojo monkey
2017 The FLAM @funkyjunky
2018 The G43 :)) @VCBud
In terms of airpath purity the GS is the king ,it also delivers PID accuracy, the other two concepts compromise on that for the prize of being smaller :))..
Beeing rapidly brainstorming on my own concept which involves balls and is one that preserves the all glass aspect of the GS and is smaller scale.Hope you dont mind me also borrowing that awesome idea and trying to rig something up on my own .Most probably going to compromise on PID part and try it at later stage if there is a PID controller that runs DC voltage heaters.
Cheers to all ! :))

I was just browsing through 2-3 pages. Sorry, is there a price list somewhere? I have no idea what to expect.

Same here,
@jojo monkey could you please have a webpage with all the info on it?

Here's what I would suggest:
1) What does come in the box
2) USPs (unique selling points, like 100% pure glass pathway, 100% convection, etc)
3) Video on how to set it up
4) Multiple shots of SG from different angles (fully assembled)
5) Price, how to purchase

And Happy new year :)
