Good update!

I'm a lot more interested now! The app is EXACTLY what a device like this needs, a few built in temps and a custom temp setting you can set with the app, just like my Pax Era.

How many mm is the cup? Have you broken any atomizers yet?

I'll get you the exact measurements tonight when I get home. I'm on my way to the helix glass shop to pick up our final prototype glass. I'll show them off toniggt on iG.

I have not broke a single atomizer yet! Not even the original sample ones!

 I still have a US helix beaker in the cabinet!

@FocusV Can we discuss the atomizer and inserts for a moment? Can you tell us some sizes? How big is the heating element? For instance, the Peak uses an 11mm x .08mm Alumina ceramic disk. And somewhere around 14mm Diameter is where most Peak inserts come in at. Can you tell us the dimensions of the Atomizer and insert please?
I have a plethora of different inserts of all sizes in Quartz, Ti, SiC, Sapphire, and some other high temp ceramics that may fit, just curious.

I think a good idea would also me to make a 36mm/55mm can glass adapter that fit into the unit with an 18mm male to adapt for current owners of Hydrotubes and nectar collectors. Plus it could be attached with an 18mm femal adapter and a whip to 14mm/10mm male to attach to any rig! sort of like the overpriced , but well made ZC Glass adapter but with a male joint instead of female for possible hydrotube compatibility.

Kk so I'll give a brief breakdown of the sizes then I'll upload a few images below that will help explain the bucket system and the sizes (slightly different size from the quartz to the titanium.)

We also use a alumina ceramic. 9mm*.6 for our heat surface.

Below will be a diagram of the quartz bucket size, titanium size, a photo of the heating element and a diagram of the heater!

The adapter piece is simple enough to make and a solid idea forsure

Let me know if you have any other questions!

Why so small of a nail size? This is gonna be messy for even average size dabs I would think. For comparison only this is the same size bucket as the smallest Source nails. Its much smaller than the devices your device should be competing with. It looks like you can use a larger diameter insert but not a taller insert. I would seriously consider a taller atomizer with a larger insert if you want to get 100k sold. It took the Switch about 6 monthes to reach 100k units sold whereas the Puffco Peak is doubling their employee count after less than a full year of Peak sales. Thats gotta be way more than 100k units to add 20ish people to your staff. I believe this is not only due to the simplicity of the peak as well as the overall unit size, but more so due to the ability to change inserts to higher grade materials as well as the size of the insert.

Please only take what you can constructively from my post. I am in no way meaning to sound like I am bashing this product.

For me iv done decent size dabs no problem on the current bucket. But generating larger or even XL size buckets or atomizer attachments won't be an issue.

Personally iv noticed I get very efficient use of my wax with the current atomizer with little to no wax release in the glass or atomizer body even after a full day of dabs and no cleaning in between. This might be due to a number of factors really. Surface heat area requiring less work to heat to and maintain the desired temp. Evenness in heat distribution due to the smaller nature of the bucket. etc...

But we do intend on larger atomizers for the xl dabbers out there! As well as the dry herb attachment for those looking for a good all in 1 portable water pipe action.

Looking at the tech now,it reminds me of those 510 ceramic rod atomizers that power ti/quartz/ceramic nail heads. The smart thing here is that the heater is flat and catches the whole bottom. @FocusV Do you have issues with oil running up the walls of the evaporation chamber ,since they would be less hot ?
@nosmoking Those are pretty interesting numbers about the peak you are sharing.. It makes thing of how unbelievably well paid is the labour on your side..Are the vaporizer makers the rocketscientist of today ? If sold 100 000 units x 300$ = $30 milions.. you would be able to hire a whole city around here.. ,not just 20 people.. Or you mean $100 000 in sales ?

@Abysmal Vapor so far I have seen very minimal leakage into the air path or atomizer body itself. The times I have gotten any where more negligent times on my part like if the atomizer was cooling down and I just decide I'm going to try to add more wax and hit it as is (not my brightest moment haha) but other then that I'd say you should expect very little at most. Depending on the type of concentrates you like to use you could very well see none!

But again this has been my experience. We have a beta launch coming up of about 150 to 200 units that we will be sending out to our beta program members and anyone who preorders on the 15th or the 17th not sure which day we will open it up. From there I am sure if there still things to tweak we can do so.

I was way off...its 100k followers on IG. I am truly sorry for the fallacious statistics but the numbers is not what I was really trying to focus on. I was just trying to say I believe a bigger bucket with all the aftermarket options seems better for overall sales. It sounds like FocusV is on top of this.

What sort of warranty will this have and will early adopters get any future benefits or support.

Like if any improvements or changes are made from the initial 150-250 units or fixed will early adopters be able to exchange for replacements under warranty, I for instance wouldn't want to be bit in the butt so to speak just for supporting early like some Peak pre-orders are past their one year warranty now and are stuck with broken bases that have supposedly been worked out.

Haha no worries man. I could believe peak has solid a lot of units I'm sure.

I totally understand that and yes. To answer short haha.

If you pre order with us and

1. We make changes to the production model then I personally will guarantee you a free upgrade.

2. If we do not make changes we will keep the pre order people on a special list for early releases on carta accessories and glass etc..

3. We plan to offer the pre release people the option to upgrade to helix American glass for free as well.

If you guys can think of any other cool perks you might want let me know!

Current warranty is set for 1 year but that's usually our default warranty. I'll talk with our team and see if we cant bump it up to a 3 year to make it more appealing.

Ah, so size wise this will be a lot more like my Source XL 10mm than any of my others devices. That being said the 10mm source heater is lacking, the 13mm and 15mm XXL Source units are a bit better. And the heater in yours looks better than the Source for sure.
I really love the way you encased the sides and bottom of the ceramic heater, protecting it more than the Puffco atty.

That being said I don't take huge dabs, but I do find the source 10mm too small. Hopefully the Carta will feel just right with a 10mm bucket.
The Peak bucket size is pretty good, just slightly smaller than my 20mm coil Liger Enail that I love.
The Switch is awesome, but when I use any of my bubble caps it's a disaster. The cup is too small and the oil blows all over the place. Airflow is a little funny in the Switch though. It's cup is also small, deep enough for a big dab.
I will definitely test the Carta on its own merits and not compare it to the competition until I have tried it.
Update on my Peak, I just got my third base from warranty and I am on atomizer #7... I have had it since April. I am now just building my own atomizers...$40 is ridiculous. BUT, I do love it. I wish I didn't but it fucking rocks.

I'll keep my eyes open for the pre-order/early adopter page I was thinking of buying a peak here soon this seems a bit more appealing due to the feature set.

Can you provide photos of the comparison between the Helix glass and the other standard glass for comparison please?

Just curious. When you say the buckets on the source fill a little small, is this due to lack of size to apply your dab or more of a overflow issue when heating?

Can you provide photos of the comparison between the Helix glass and the other standard glass for comparison please?

Sure thing give me a bit to put together photos of each on a carta. For the time being here is a overview of them all I posted on Instagram

Cool. So as far as being able to upgrade from standard glass to Helix glass, that would include any of those pictured?

No so all the glass is designed by helix. But only 1 of them is going to be continued to be made in America and sold as an upgrade option.

The rest of them will be used on future releases of the carta
Which piece is it that is American made?
