Ed's WoodScents Log Vape - Ed's TnT

I know I run mine at 9.5 on the dial it came with. Anything less than 9 (maybe 8.5 at bare minimum) doesn't produce worthwhile vapor for me. But, at what I run it at, it's fantastic. Nothing's getting burnt at that temperature though, and the flavor is fantastic (no dreaded popcorny/toasty taste).

I will admit, I was a bit annoyed when I first tried it at 6.5 - 7.5 like many here recommended, and didn't get barely any vapor. Mine is gravy though at 9 - 9.5 out of 10 on the dial, and I get full even extractions (completely even color from top to bottom of the bowl as well). Hell, I use it dry at that temp, and it doesn't get harsh. I use the same temp when using with water.

I'm completely stupefied as to what may have happened with your experience.

Yeah idk. I'm very interested in trying another log like the e-nano or an underdog just to see if I'm insane or what. But I need to calm down for a minute with all if my Black Friday impulses finally going away. Very glad you all enjoy yours, it's definitely a beauty.

For me it's the quality of craftsmanship, the titanium heater, the consistent vape it provides, and the ability to fit any vapcap tip on the thing. I love my UD to death, it started my love of logs but my WS just vapes much more evenly and consistent. The one thing that I do like about the UD over the WS though is that the dogs tend to run a little hotter than the WS on just a regular power supply. On just a regular 12V power supply my WS will vape my herb to a nice even light brown while the dog tends to extract a much darker load. but as long as you have a VVPS(get one, it's hands down the best accessory you can have for your WS) on hand you're still able to crank that temp up and get that really dark fully extracted load with the WS too.

Appreciate you sharing and for giving details vs the UD. It definitely sounds amazing. That is definitely good to know about the power with standard unit, don't plan on using a 12V power supply but will keep that in mind. Good call on VVPS! Seems to take the weakness of the WS and mitigate it. Was not thinking about getting it but will certainly do some more research on it.

Always on, easy/convenient, extremely efficient, extremely (completely instant, and on-fucking-demand) fast to get a hit and move on (and it's got the highest quality titanium & wood only airpath).

And, it fits within the Dynavap universe! That's very important. My Dynavap parts play well with my Woodscents and my Woodscents plays well with my Dynapap parts! I love that about it!

Once I picked up a stand for my tools (made by Aezhenn), my Woodscents vaporization station gives me all I need at my desk.

And it works fantastically with water when I want those large, faster hits!

Sounds like everything I was hoping it would be! How quickly does it heat up from cold? I think I read somewhere that it could be ready in a couple minutes but could easily be thinking about another vape. The Dynavap station looks great! Really love wood products and that looks like it is a fantastic pairing with Eds work.

Is that the D2020? Would want to get a water piece at some point, seems like it would just make everything that much more dynamic.

Honestly, I've never timed it. But it's just a few minutes or less.

On weekdays I tend to unplug it in the morning before I leave for work, then plug it back in when I get home. It's always good to go by time I sit down to use it, but that's usually after 5-10 minutes (not on purpose, that's just how long it takes me to get heavy clothing/shoes off, pour a cold beer, and be ready to relax after arriving home from work for the day). On weekends it stays plugged in 24/hours a day (though, sometimes I'll turn the temp dial down to 5 - 6 when I go to bed or leave the house, and bump it back up to my regular 9 - 9.5 when I get up in the morning/come home because it takes almost no time to get back to temp when it's already mostly there).

So, basically, it's always on when I'm home. So it's instantly useable anytime I want a hit.

Yeah. @Aezhenn does fantastic work. I highly recommend hitting him up for something to hold your vapor tools.

Nah. It's this Mobius Matrix Sidecar knockoff [link removed] from StevenImz79 on DHGate (he sells one without the logo, which is what I have).

Modnote: Edited to remove link to labeled counterfeit glass

^ my apologies. I thought I linked to the one without the counterfeit logo. If I linked to the one with the logo it was definitely an unintentional mistake.

This should be the correct non-counterfeit logo glass I actually meant to link to (hadn't made the mental link that there was a separate link for the ones with and without the counterfeit logo):

I run my main use WS on 11.0v for low temp big cloud rips on a bong, sprinkle pack, no tamping with nice dry (60-61%RH) medium-grind bud. This will give me 2 or 3 nice hits (or 1 monster) before I will finish with 1 more rip with my second WS set at 12.2v, not as tasty but hits a bit harder. I find the WS is the easiest vape I have to milk up a bong and just cannot understand how anyone could get it so wrong that they gave away a WS...better than sitting in a cupboard not being used I suppose. I hope the new owner has a better time with it.

I rarely run my woodscents under 13v. I wouldn't be satisfied with just the 12v wall wart. I'm judging that based on abv color when vapor stops and comparing it to what I get from some omnivongs I've been using for years. The vvps Ed sells works great but I moved to a lab power supply for a discrete on/off switch.

I've got other logs that can work at 12v but they're very inconsistent. I don't know how true it is but I'm convinced they only work at 12v because the design bridges the resistor to the body. I always felt like you need to kind of manage heat soak as you go and really drive the thing.

I dont have this one but would be very open to trying it sometime. Its worth noting though, that as with many popular bubbler designs, with multiple sellers of them, there are different dimensions which can effectively make for two quite different pieces, in both feel and function.

Mainly the width, and inner volume of the can. The narrower models are much closer to the
D-020D. More slimline, lower volume. Easy to hold, not quite as smooth a hit.

And then the wider one, bigger inner volume. More bulky and heavier too for grip. But milks differently, a bit smoother/cooler. And much more like the FC-UFO, in terms of shape and volume.

I think personally, I would want the wider model.

That's the one and only "negative" I can say about my WoodScent. I mostly, some time exclusively, have to vape hash. It was not possible for me to get needed temperatures with only 12v. Now I have a regulated power supply in my office and one of these tattoo power supplies in my living room. Starting at 12.4v going up to 13v gives me exactly what I want :)

I made an account specifically to ask does anyone knows how wide a woodscent is at the top portion?

I am very close to buying one but I want to make sure it will work on my bong where the connection is a bit close to the bong itself.

I have a little over an inch but not much more! about 1 and 3/16" of an inch. Sounds like a tight fit but maybe it will work. I still need to figure out if I buy now or wait to see what else comes in stock :hmm:
If you're worried about not having enough room to fit the WS on your glass piece you can always pick up an adapter like this

It should give you that extra room you need to fit the WS on your piece if it doesn't fit at first.

Yeah. The stand is Olive Tree wood. It was one of the available options @Aezhenn gave me, and I thought it matched the woodscents I already had (and wanted the stand to go with), so I went with it instead of asking for something specific because it would probably cost a lot more anyway.
It turns out it did match quite well. So, it may be a wood worth considering if you are looking for a stand or any similar wood accessories to go with it.

I'll keep that in mind, thanks for the info! It definitely looks like it matches up really well.

I'll see what fate brings my way!
