As a new EVO owner, I've been documenting my early use here. I hope no one here minds. It's been great to be here, post and discuss. Thx for all the help so far.

It's still early days for me but I'm already cleaning the EVO more often than I have previously done with other vapes. That's a good thing because it means cleaning the EVO is quick and easy . A short ISO bath for the glass the next day after use and it's clean and ready to go. I brush out the ELB as well and after a few days use I rinse the ELB out with hot water in the sink; it cleans up really well. And a quick ISO swish with the ELB is all that's needed if it gets more dirty.


Anybody have feedback or advice on this?

This evening's sessions with the new EVO continue to be great. The whistle behavior remains the same (apparent in first clean fresh draw but rapidly and quickly diminishes with more draws. By my 2nd ELB/bowl there's not much for whistle behavior. The EVO continues to exceed my expecations; it's powerful, efficient and flexible (I've quickly changed from session vaping to on-demand vaping because of the EVO).

I grew B-4 however it’s getting cheaper where I am so I just by it now.
Tomorrow I plan 2 pull out the EVO & run some SATIVA through it.

My OG is very fat leafed INDICA I like it at night however during daylight SATIVA is better 4 me!
Whatever work’s 4 U?

Thx @ataxian. I love the sativas. I don't have my water piece yet for the EVO (it's a new graphite precision one on backorder), it should get here in the next few weeks hopefully.

And I'm currently sitting around with one gram of premium Armageddon shatter , one gram of premium Nuken shatter and one gram of quality Super Lemon Haze live resin . I'm impatient .

It's been another great evening with the EVO; great extraction. A third fresh flower ELB/bowl has been a nice melt .

Back to cleaning...
I am wondering, how you clean your ELB's?

I have a lot of ELB's and I try to clean in batches.
When I do so, I put them in a shaker with ISO alcohol and kosher salt, shake it and then let it rinse.
I try to put the shaker inside a bowl and pour boiling water so the ISO would get warm.
When I finish, I wash it with boiling water and use Q-tip or toilet paper so it would dry.


Now, yesterday, I tried something way easier and the results were great, I'm not sure if this is because the ELB was quite "new" or this is just a far better method.

I poured some ISO alcohol+kosher salt into a bowl, I shook the ELB inside the bowl for 15 seconds and then I took a clean Q-tip, dipped it in the ISO and started rubbing the ELB head and body.
After a 1 minute or so, it was clean as new...so much easier!!!

How do you clean the ELB's?
I'd love to hear.

Heya, I throw them in a sealed container with iso. When that sealed container is full of ELBs I remove them and hold them under a very hot tap and use a mini brush to clean them, only takes a couple of brush strokes.

Getting myself in trouble over on the ditanium thread asking questions about the EVO, so figured I should just come to the source.

I’m in the market for a desktop that can do dabs and flower. It would be cool to both at the same time, but honestly I really don’t care. Doesn’t even make a whole lot of sense when I think about it.

I like the EVO, but don’t want to put a huge top heavy glass piece on top of it. Is it possible to get great results using it without the huge expensive glass pieces to put on top?

I don’t care about clouds, I care about flavor and effects. Can this do low temp for both flower and concentrate?

How hard is it to clean?

For flavor go with a dry mouthpiece. You can get something like the graphite helio (I have this and swear by it). It's small and works great.

There's also the standard mouthpiece and whip

There's the lynx which is a small waterpiece that a whip can attach to

There is a 4 person whip attachment too.

How crazy do you want to go?

I purchased the EVOwith 4 vapexnails and 6 ELBs. I got spares for a while or the ability to preload for a BIG party .

The does low heat dabbing flower beautifully. I started posting about cleaning and asking a few questions just a few days back. Check it out. For cleaning the EVO is about as simple and easy as it gets, depending on what attachment accessories you are using.

The vapor heat is minor from the EVO. I don't notice warmth in the vapor, it's the density that can be the problem . The EVO makes huge clouds if you want it to. EVO = Extreme Vapor Output.

The unit is very easy to clean. The base should rarely need cleaning; it's a sealed glass bamboo top to bottom and people have posted cleaning advice and guides, it's pretty straight forward. The attachments are pretty easy to clean, but depend on the attachment. I recently posted how easy it is to clean the Helio, enough so that I clean it after every days use; toss in a zip lock baggie with a bit of ISO and swish around from time to time for 20 min, rinse with hot water and dry (maybe with some warm heat -not hot-). The ELBs get by with a brush every day for 3-4 days, then I dip them for a few minutes in a bit of ISO for a little while, shake, brush and rinse backwards with hot water (to how the sit for airflow in the EVO). You can reuse that ISO again a number of times. I'm really happy with how easy the EVO is for cleaning so far, though I'm still new to the unit.

The EVO is easy to microdose with, no changes are needed. And I've been passing my EVO around to friends quite easily. The cord is long enough to work well and not be in the way much. After explaining to my friends to just take care when handling the EVO and letting them try the unit, they've been fine. It's simple stuff; and people tell me they enjoy it as well. The flavors from EVO low heat flower and (reportedly) concentrate dabbing are very impressive (I have yet to try concentrate use). I already picked up some live resin and premium shatter .

The EVO unit is very light, that's something not often conveyed with all the feedback out there.

My personal opinion, but depending on how into concentrates you plan on getting, you might look elsewhere than the EVO.

The EVO can absolutely do some dabs, but I was never fully satisfied with them.

I honestly think the reason for the lacking dab performance is the lack of a carb cap.

The EVO was my first foray into concentrates, so I didn't really know what I was missing. Once I started doing dabs on the Vrod and using a proper banger did I fully realize the potential for dabs.

I don't think I could ever go back to the EVO for dabs and be fully satisfied.

The EVO rocks it with flower though, no qualms there.

Regarding glass pieces, VXL used to sell a dry mouthpiece for $20ish that would suit you. But really, you can mate it with any 18mm joint. You can invert it for flower, but using concentrates you can't invert the EVO.

You mentioned you hadn’t tried the concentrates you acquired yet, but I’m curious about using DIY pressed rosin. Obviously will never be as clean as shatter or oil, so I’m worried it might not do as well?

You can never truly enjoy a cloudy, low temp hit without a carb cap imo. You'll never go back once you do!

And add in some sapphire terp pearls....forget about it! The only thing that can top that type of dab setup is a ruby insert. But then that's another couple hundred dollars on top of that!

And @ataxian, no worries, no hate perceived from your post! The EVO is nice with concentrates and does just about as good a job as most other vapes that aren't a dedicated concentrate rig.

But when you step up to a dedicated enail/opaque quartz banger, the difference is night and day to me. It's on another level.

I'm not even dabbing out of my Vrod that much any more since I got my dedicated banger set up from @710Coils . It's just that good!

Remember temp readings/settings from one vape design/style usually don't transfer well over to another design/style.

The graphite Helio is a fairly new accessory from VapeXhale. If may be in stock in the UK, it was in Canada. Talk to your/the UK suppliers, if it isn't in stock already it should be shortly, or ask them to order it in for you. You should be able to get a Helio without too much wait or effort. Hi everyone I’ve just recently purchased the graphite hydrabomb and I think it came with some cracks in it. I was wondering if you guys could help me out with determining wether they’re actually cracks or just air bubbles from making it. Thank you. They look like bubbles but they’re straight lines and There’re three of them. I can only get a picture of the biggest one and I cannot feel it on the outside. It seems internal. I attached pictures but I’m not sure they’re showing up. How do I add them?

Yes I copy the picture into the section and it shows up. Then Il Copy the URL from it and click “insert” and that “img” thing pops up. I have a iPhone. It shows just fine but when I click post it disappears. It won’t even let me add it as my profile picture- edit they show up in the links.
