Thats Eco Mode kicking in from not detecting a draw and completely normal. =)

As long as when you start the draw it goes back to Cruise/TStep from Eco and Vice Versa.
I don't think mine works that way. It just goes back and forth when I have set cruise mode. And I don't know about T step. I may have set it wrong. If so I'll probably reset it to an earlier software version because I have no idea what the current settings should be.

Hmm.
Considering that im a pretty new member/owner of the TUBO it might be better to pass this up the tree of knoledge to someone like @SloJimFizz or even @Padriano.

Do you mind if I ask what level your Eco mode is set to?

Edit: Just got a new phone and it takes longer to hold down on a letter to get its secondary function

I didn't set it. I usually just download the newest firmware and leave it as is. It's worked fine until the newest dl.

I have been loving the Tubo. I picked up one of these at the link below. I'm not even sure what this piece is called or specifically for, but I freaking LOVE it with the tubo.

it cools. it has a nice form factor in hand and you can use it either right side up or hold the tubo upside down. I love holding it updside down to see the screen, the "L" of this MP and the tubo makes it hold like big corn cob pipe, very comfrotable. This piece is great for removing from heat and setting down without spilling everything. when rested on the table tripod style it's very easy to stir or whatever else you want. You can set it down like this with the tubo resting on it if you angle the tubo just right.

Tubo in cruise + this MP is a definite go.

throw it in cruise, let it get up to temp. toss it on this MP. have a drag or two. remove heat (or not), set tubo and mp down. pick back up for another go, or space out and forget it completely and tubo goes to standby and no material harmed in the vaping of this movie.

Hey - does anybody know if Ralph is OK? I've been corresponding with him about an order, but he seems to have gone silent for two weeks.

A few pages ago Ralph said the shop is closed for January. If ur familiar w the sort of vacations Europeans take then he isn't kidding. And I'm so jealous as I sit at my desk thinking about the end of Friday and whether I will use the bent mouthpiece or whip tonight.

Hey everyone! I went down to the post today and picked up my package. I've been using it throughout the day in short bursts. So far I have tried the cooler wooden stem, spiky bent glass, and the whip attached to wooden stem.

I enjoy the whip the most because the vapor is very cool and easy to get large hits. The wooden stem with "a-maze" cooler is decently cooler than the bent spiky stem. Overall loving it so far!

Got my TuvoEvic a few months ago and am running into a couple problems.

The first started a couple weeks ago: the top half of the battery door was not fitting into place properly. I didnt think much of it because it stayed in place well enough. Then a few days ago I took then entire battery door was not snapping into place like it should. I attached a few pictures.

I have been having to use a hair band to keep the back on because the small change in distance cause the magnets to not work 100%.

Then just last night my tubo evic is not really recognizing my draw anymore. When drawing the the power will not get above a couple watts. cruise mode does not work at all and but for some reason I can get a hit in normal mode if I am drawing before I press the button and continue my draw.

I have also just noticed that the the temperature is around 120 def F higher that what I have set when drawing. (420 deg F and coil at .190)

Anyone have something like this happen?

Edit:

Temps are actually reading much higher after a few seconds. 900+ deg F when not drawing after a couple seconds.

Does the heat problem happen when you change to a different battery? 900F is incredibly high.
I have the same door problem but I have it with my evic as well. I use a rubber band. But I wouldn't use it until FJ gets back if the temps run so high.

900°F is like, burst into flames temp lol, and definitely mechanical failures and would pull out the battery and sit it on the sidelines until @funkyjunky is back.

The screen didn't flash "Too Hot" repeatedly before that read out?

Hi fellow vapers!

Problem is, even after trying to adjust the setting according to settings in the manual, The Tubo is still behaving erratically.

Temps are after a few seconds reading over 700 degrees C., which leaves me with a wattage of 0,9 and zero vape..

I'm hoping that anyone can give me input on setting that could be of, causing the malfunction.. Maybe in the "expert setting", or some of the newer vaping setting, that are not very well described in the manual..

I'm really hoping that this can be solved since i know that an awesome vape the Tubo can be when it's functioning properly.

All the best,
L

Looking through the past comments it looks very similar to this guy's problem with his TuboEvic. There was no "Too Hot" because I would not hold the button down for long because I didn't want to overheat.

I may be in the minority here but I keep my temp at around 300 F. A higher setting doesn't explain the high readings but 450 F is the highest temp mine goes to before I lower it a bit.

I know FJ is taking time off. Does anyone know when he'll be back? I want to find out about my eco/cruise issue. Although it is probably just easier for me to go back to an earlier setting if I can figure out how. I've had my tubo for quite a while so I know it's usually problem free.

I strongly suggest to read the manual, it helps to save the battery life, the eco mode:
Theoretical energy savings by lowering heater temperature between draws in Cruise Control.
Set your Eco level in ‘menu>vaping>Ecolevel’.
0: eco features disabled, original Cruise Control. keeps the heater at the set temperature.
1: the heater temperature is lowered when no draw is detected.
2: the heater temperature is lowered more than in eco level 1 when no draw is detected.
3: the heater temperature is always lowered to 135degC when no draw is detected.

My Tubo made it but I’m quite sad because it was too little of a package, metal parts mixed with glass (and packed like hell). I was lucky only the J hook I ordered came broken.
is my screen upside down?

I ordered also a “curly maple capsule stem” but it’s too tiny to accept SB capsules with the lid on. :(

When the screen goes blank press the +/- at the same time and it will flip =)

Can you take a pic of the stem? Do you mean it doesn't sit low enough in the stem?

I started not using the cap of the s&b capsules In the TUBO b/c the results are almost night and day but some people don't like material falling onto the screen (which occasionally will happen) but I don't mind.

Have you made sure the screen behind the capsule isn't folding into itself making a lump?

The screen inside the mouthpiece seems fine to me. A little bit convex but not folded or anything.

I’m sorry to point it out, but a bigger package and some more bubble wrap would have saved my j-hook. All this glass bits (j hook already trashed),Tubo, stem and capsules packed and pressed inside this box kept together by cardboard. For a 370ish$ order.. Quite the shipment for 24$

Dude that's like THE PERFECT STEM. I wish the Lip on Mine for the s&b cap was that thick! =O

I would just use some fine grain sandpaper on the inner lip until the capsule fits.

Beautiful unit =)

Fukn bummer man. I liked the minimalist packaging but i also ordered the basic set w a bent stem so the small box was perfect. @funkyjunky tagged so he sees. Ralph has also been very responsive via email. Sorry and i hope you were able to enjoy the rest of the unit as much as i have.

Thank you.
Here is the pic of the mouthpiece.

S&B capsule fits only if put upside down. With the lid at the bottom, exposing to capsule opening hazards imho.
The capsules are supposed to be mounted that way, it is upside down, so I think the stem is right. I am sorry for the broken glass but i am also sure Ralph will assit you with replacement parts, just wait for him to reply, i think he is taking the full Jan off.
