Thanks for the fast reply!
The Focus 1 looks really interesting! Will the temperature settings be user customisable via Bluetooth?

I had not thought of that as an option! but I believe there is still plenty of time for me to add that in! Ill confirm tonight if that is something i can do and get back to you guys!

So this vape looks pretty great.

A concern I have with the rotating top is that if things get any kind of gummed up it could get annoying quickly. Is it easy to take the rotating assembly off and clean the threads that make contact? Have you found that residue finds it’s way there often?

My other question, seems like I already know the answer, but no way for the user to change the battery out?

Thanks in advance.

At first I thought we would run into an issue with that area getting stuck, but based on my few months of testing i havent ran into that issue yet. It is relatively easy to remove if one really needed to! ill work on getting a little teardown and breakdown video for everyone so you guys can see the insides etc..

and yes you are correct no removable batteries

Was lucky enough to try out the prototype Aero meeting @FocusV last week. I actually have a production one coming so I will have more to say later, but just a few hits on the prototype was pretty impressive to me despite being rough. The form factor and design seem well thought out too, with the extra bowl added as a bonus in unused space. Looking forward to further testing...

Hi @FocusV , is the Aero using the same heating element than you shown in the Focus1 thread?

Personnaly the 2 bowls design is something I would use a lot while watching a movie, sometime it might be impratical to unload/load a bowl in the darkness!

The Aero Heating system more closely resembles the traditional convection method. with a few exceptions.

one main exception is the stainless steel mesh we use around the ceramic core heater. Allowing for a wide spread heat area and airflow to easily still pass through.

I will providing a breakdown video and images either today or tomorrow for the aero. Ill post the video on here once its finished!

and yes I agree! the 2 bowls have been a huge plus for me when im already out or im just relaxing in bed and dont feel like emptying and reloading for that last bowl!

So mine arrived a couple days ago and it is quite nice! The design and all the accessories are very well thought out, even the manual is impressively simple yet comprehensive.

The build is solid, plenty of plastic but high quality that fits together well, while the parts that matter are all steel and ceramic. It is a little hefty though ergonomic and not too crazy considering there are two bowls and a lot of battery life. The cooling maze in the mouthpiece is neat and the whole mp is pretty nice. The adjustable airflow intake and onboard stir tool are also very nice touches!

It did have that new smell so I ran several burn offs after my extra long first charge, no outgassing or anything, so after a while I tried a bowl that was pretty pure tasting at low temps already despite that fresh high temp scent. I imagine it will break in quickly with more and more use, very nice to see with a product mass produced in China. The vaporpath and airpath are isolated, clean, simple, and seem effective.

I did put a screen in the bottom of the chamber I used just in case, since the holes are a little large though I would prefer to use them. The top screen in the mp is a bit better with smaller holes and more of them, but ofcourse that is where its more necessary so no problem as is. I also used the glass chamber ring for this first bowl (it also came with a ceramic one) and packed it full course ground.

I did 3 back to back 4min sessions temp stepping from 320 all the way to 425 at the end. After a stir I did one more session that I stopped early. Flavor really shined low and the temps felt pretty accurate for effects and clouds, you can really rip it too. The mouthpiece does a nice job of cooling even though it is so compact, however with back-to-back sessions it can get quite warm but the tip where you actually put your lips stayed relatively cool even so.

Anyway I of course have much more testing to do, but I wanted to share my first impressions with you all. I really like the stir tool and funnel (it fits perfect in the bowl, unless you use a chamber ring then it will sit on top) and look forward to the water tool experimentation... Feeling a lot of versatility here!
And some photos from that first bowl:

Glass chamber ring and my own steel mesh screen added to bowl over heater

And now all loaded up, with the funnel slotted into the empty spare bowl

This is after those first 3 sessions that were mostly below 400 I think, and this nice stir tool stores in the bottom

More to come! :D

Well no one else posting in between so I'll have to double...

Used the Aero again last night, this time with a friend, and no chamber ring. Loaded a bit less too, three 4min sessions temp stepping from 340 to 380 and up to 405 at the very end. Could've taken it further but decided to stop before taste faded as it looked dark enough for me. Once again the results were great!

Taste and clouds were delightful, super smooth at the low temps too. It kept pumping out nice thick flavorful vapor with minimal effort and no stirring either, felt pretty efficient with negligable loss in between hits even. Using back to back and raising the temp does get tougher with the short mp though as I said. It can do a decent job, but eventually it will get too hot even at the tip during a big draw. So more mp options in the future will be nice, it already has a 14mm connector so that will allow me to test a lot with upper temps... The vapor itself stayed pretty smooth at upper temps however, so definitely useable and if given time to cool a bit in between sessions there may not even be an issue as is.

Anyway my friend really liked it (though she does like the feel of my wooden vapes in hand, she thinks this performance may have been overall best as of now...) as we got super lifted. Again the vapor quality here continues to impress!

This really is turning out to be a phenomenal all around option even though it is still so early, I am trying to maintain that perspective and be objective however... Seriously it is just exciting to have a product like this finally, may be an ideal sharing vape, one I can easily show off to any newbies.

I know it is far from perfect, but the pros keep coming and the cons seem minor!

Glad you are enjoying it! I have a teardown video I just finished I will be posting a little later. If you guys have an IG account I will be doing a live stream tonight around like 6pst to announce some stuff about the carta and probably giveaway a few Vapes!

I will post the teardown video here once I get it on YouTube

Anyone grab one of these lately? As it so happens myself (and probably a number of others) are in the market for a new convention portable

Also, since the product is now available for purchase to the public, maybe move it from the upcoming forum segment?

@Shit Snacks, Are the bowls able to switch easily?

For example, let say someone vapes lower temps during the day. Could they use both bowls at low(er) temps and use the same cannabis later for higher temps; all without emptying the vape until night time?

Yes they are easy to swap with a simple twist, however mine is a bit stiff since I only tried once, I am sure it will loosen up the more you do it and it certainly wasn't a struggle. I have not tried to use the other bowl yet at all, though I will say with back-to-back sessions getting to upper temps the secondary bowl walls did get a little warm (probably not enough to vape)

I have also not tried saving the bowl yet, as the two I tried back-to-back sessions to kill them. I did have one earlier where I was milking low temps staying below 380 and I can try it on upper temps later to see how dark it is and how much more can be gotten out of it...

I did try loading a very small amount the other night, and even on high temps could not get much visible but some effects. It was not very extracted so I think you do need to load at least half full, but some sort of spacer or screen could help improve microdose performance.

The retail is $130.00 and the bubbler is not included but will be available as an add-on for.like $9

We did have it on sale for 120 for a bit.

But with Mikes vaporizer review coupon code it brings the aero down to below 120. Which is a steal imo.
(Mikev)

Wow that is a crazy steal, I thought it was going to go for a very fair 170, but 130 is an amazing deal and any less is almost unbelievable lol

Despite the flaws as I see them, the performance, design, accessories, and company make this a total no brainer. Like I said, it ain't perfect, but at that price it kind of is!

I know personally I usually do a full sesh at around 390 then come back to that bowl late in the evening at around 410 (sometimes I give it a stir and bump it up again)

I have seen some aero users send us pics of one bowl being a sativa and the other being an indica. I could see that being beneficial specially if you can get a full packed bowl going.

Hey guys wanted to mention my stream today at 1pm PST I'm gonna be going over the aero, focus 1, and a carta and probably giving away atleast 1 of each haha

Hope to see the usuals there! ✌️

Interesting vape, since @Shit Snacks and I live vicariously through each other's VAS. Where can this be purchased? I checked the usual shops (PIU,POTV). Thanks for any responses!

My Man!

I think you need to purchase directly from FocusV for now. I bet shops will get them eventually too, but its still early with this first batch... Oh another spot was posted here with a discount code too though?

I need to clean my mouthpiece and get back to testing for you all. I think I miss alligned the threads creating an airgap that now is a little sticky lol So I think a quick soak will get me back in business

Unless I missed it, I haven't seen any info on the bowl size other than one review mentioning the S&B capsules fit. Is it about the same as a Mighty/Crafty?

I’m concerned about the secondary bowl getting too hot and having bad effects on its contents... how hot can it actually get??.....

No idea what crafty mighty size is, I don't have the capsules either, but was told they fit. Bowl probably holds about .3g give or take if that helps? Just a guess

@O-G-Reg I think this would only be an issue at the highest setting and with a lot of back to back sessions... Normal use should be fine, but I have yet to test that.

Currently the first batch is only via our website. focusvproducts.com

the usual suspects are getting ready for there orders as well (puffitup, vaposhop etc..)

I would recommend even a iso bath if its heavily gunked up. I just did a very through clean on mine last night and i cant put it down now! hitting like a champ again!

when dealing with a strictly convection heat system any grime or build up on the chamber walls or mouthpiece will totally affect the heat transfer.

Unless I missed it, I haven't seen any info on the bowl size other than one review mentioning the S&B capsules fit. Is it about the same as a Mighty/Crafty?

15mm Diameter with a 12mm depth. and yes id say comfortably .3 anything more and you might start to restrict airflow from a tight pack.

I’m concerned about the secondary bowl getting too hot and having bad effects on its contents... how hot can it actually get??.....

The 2 bowls do not come in contact and the airflow is pretty directed from the convection heater below. as @Shit Snacks had said you would likely only get residual heat from back to back to back sessions at very high temps and even then probably not enough to vape anything since it would not engulf the full second chamber. (if that makes sense)
