Thanks a lot for that information, I was going to get those at some point and will reconsider it now. :)

I think they are too big for me and the Tubo gets hot sometimes anyway so I don't think they are as practical anymore...

If someone else has experiences with them, please chime in though ;)

:peace:

I would also disagree with the ELB, while they do fit very snug, the load is wayy to far from the heater and the abv will be pretty much green, unless you take it up to 450 F which is too hot IMO

All I have for 15 years is the Volcano, is there anything better considering
I use oil & ccells on tennis court & home boy the rest of the time.
So tired of everyone promoting their vapes as the end all & they can't touch
a "V" or pure distillate wick-less ceramic oil cart.
I don't want to nurse, learn some trick just vape nice smooth vapor simply.
Can I hear some truth? Sounds like you have a bead on it.

If a joint is a little long (the are numerous 'standards' in the industry fml) you can just take some sandpaper or a daimond pad etc to the bottom to remove a mm or two.

Ah well I'm not necessarily sure that's what's wrong, I also don't have those items nor really want to do the work lol

If we're talking inside diameter, the elbs fit fine and you can use the elb caps as your screen. It's the length of the whole elb that is too tall to fit in the stem as it comes. I guess it would work if you remove the stock inner screen of the Bent and whip stems.
But using elbs still was the only time my Tubo has read Device too hot. Don't know if it was the metal rims of the two screens, plus the screens themselves increasing the temp inside the Tubo but I had very little luck with them.

Oh ha yeah of course I take out that internal screen since I never look at that way really aside from the first time I got it to test. I still have it inside the other stem so maybe I will try it there again... Anyway I've never gotten a device too hot message in any useage scenario personally, but like I said I don't use them that often. I did just use a full elb with the ddave stem and tubo whip for tstep cruise with zero issues though @leveltree

But yeah I mostly use small basket bowls regardless, but in my experience most anything CAN work fine with my Tubo

You dont have sandpaper? But yea it may not be a solution, just offering it as its helped people in the past

Yes, thank you. No I do not have it on hand, and dont feel like buying it though I have a couple of other uses for it :lol:

I tried elb's a when I first got my Tubo, and while they "worked", I always felt the need to dump/stir/re-load to get even roasting.

I only use short rbt stems in my Tubo and found the elb fit very tight, too tight to use "on the go" and have a few pre-loaded...

Ended up chopping the basket ends off and inverting them, the ends make a very good and stable adjustable screen for rbt stems ;)

I wouldn't recommend them to use for the Tubo though :2c:

never wanted to beat that one ;)
Thanks for all the feedback people! :)

Also @davesmith I never would've thought it's harmless to just sand it off, would be great for my bent stem though!
Is it that easy to change if you rinse it afterwards? I guess glass powder might be toxic to inhale?

@tennisguru1
I'm flattered but I have zero experience with concentrates or oils (would like to try the latter some time though).
For herbs I only tried the Tubo, Vapcap, Vaponic, arizer solo 2 and focusvape pro so far.
They all have pros and cons with the best results always following a learning phase. The Vapcap is pretty easy and surprisingly functional, I still manage to overheat sometimes when baked though. Vaponic is similar, harder to learn but perfect for microdosing.
The Tubo is pretty much the perfect whole-experience vape for ME, since I love to have all the options (it's not required to fiddle with them at all though) and stuff like a freaking GAME on it. At the same time it's performance is really great. If you watched the thread many new owners have questions at the start but are happy with it after a week and there is definitely some learning alone about your favourite loading method.
I guess if you place most value on simple, a popular mass produced vape (like arizer, MFLB etc.) might be the best, but thats not necessarily best vapour/experience for you.

Honestly I think you should start a question thread with your concrete requirements, also the vape critic made plenty of reviews which can help if you don't know him yet. :)
Good luck anyway ;)

Time to fire up the Tubo and some Iron Maiden!

Well today I got up telling myself "I've got to make things right. I must correct some of my biggest mistakes yesterday"

So I just unliked your post, realising I didn't understand what I was getting into.

So I just did the right thing, but whoopsy me it seems I have (accidentally of course;)) I have now taken you BACK to 6666 likes! :o

And you are on post 911 for emergency! Coincidence? Better that you stay right there and dont move from this spot, just in case. I will try to steer forum traffic around you.

Every time you receive another like, I will search back and unlike another one of your posts, until I have no more credits then I will call upon the other brave members to join our plight.

Stay strong, together we will beat this! :D

Have a wicked Saturday everybody.

Yes be sure to fully clean the stem after. And do the sanding/grinding outside ideally. Glass dust isnt a nice thing i have around, trust me haha

E2a also be gentle, dont ever exert force on glass incase it breaks and that force is used to impale yourself.

Ddaves cooler stem & my water piece.
I'm excited for wooden stem and cooling inserts too, might improve the bent stem which is also nice but quickly hot.
If I got the cooling stem do you think the DDave piece would be necessary as well?

Long wooden stem with uncapped S&B capsule.

I also want one of the new solid wood units. I’m gonna wait a while though, since it’s not really a need.

Does the capsule fit on the end of the wooden stems?

I don't know yet, the amaze cooler and medium stem will be here for testing soon.

I asked about the comparison earlier and the medium stem was reported as similar to hotter than the ddave cooler.
So if you have this one it might be comparable, I will give my opinion once tested. ;)

I'm getting Device Too Hot most every time I use it. Wife and i like to pack and pass so macrodosing all the way. We run usually 3 basket fulls on the end of either the @DDave cooler or long bent stem. Either 4 minute cruise or tstep or just manual firing between 180c-200c, probably 10-15 minutes of use. Battery is in the 40% range. Lowered my coils from .191 to .189 cuz it seemed a touch hot vaping. Would lowering watts help w the too hot issue? Reaplacing the battery doesnt completely fix it.

Sadly my clutzy ass already broke my straight short stem w the 4 bubbles. Anyone know who makes that? Modpodlabs sure look similar. Emailed fj but i saw the shop is closed for a bit so I'm gonna give the man a rest. Anyone also know if @Alan wood stems fit tubo?

I broke mine before I could even use it, dropped it on a friend's kitchen counter and it shattered. I saved the screen, hopefully you did also. I found the exact same piece on DHGate.com, searched under "quartz nectar collector tip 18mm". I found a seller with many transactions who had them at two for less than $8. Not sure what the policy is here, so I won't link the listing.

Have you tried lowering the watts to 50-55 ?

I put the screen in my ddave cooler already. Saw some on dhgate but i know shipping will be a few weeks and modpods seem very similar. Honestly i have no history w dabs or most concentrate so I wasnt sure if nectar collector would be too small or odd when it arrived.
