Could any DNA75c owners share their exact routine with the Splinter? I've downloaded the DNAc Splinter profile and updated my mod so it has replay mode as well. I gather the default wattage/temperature setting may be inappropriate for the newer Splinters? Should I change anything?

Using the default 50W/380°F I mostly just get a lot of hot air. Raising it to 400° and taking huge draws deep into my lungs gives me the odd cloud but the avb is still very light.

That's what I'm using, but I gather it will produce much cooler temperatures with the 19/19 stems, and you have to play around with the values or alter the coil material to compensate. I'm curious to know what other DNA75c users settled on for this.

I saw Ryan on Instagram turning his stem during the hit and tried it myself this evening with good results: seemed to manage bigger hits by mitigating hot spots.

So far after getting my gen3 dual i have not turned on my flowerpot. Im not saying its better but it deff satisfies that itch if you know what i mean. Ive been using Artic Fox temp control and really like it so far. The 4 holes seems a little too much for the regular splinter IMHO but i have yet to use it with water since the water adapter isnt in stock yet and idk where else to get one that fits. I will try to find a way to close 2 holes up temporarily but for now i can use my fingers no problem.

A question about the RBT Splinter

I am looking into buying the splinter US
and have noticed pre order promotion from RBT web site for 109$

I understand that pre ordered murch is made in China where as most other products are US made

so I was wondering if this means a drop in product quality,

what do you think? about this specific promo in terms of production quality

Unless you have a US shipping address and Bank you will need to purchase from one of their distributors

i have us address
i have Viza
idk how this v1 version differs from regular
The latest iteration is the Splinter V1. It is the first “mass-produced” version of the RBT Splinter. From my understanding, the V1 unit is made from parts that were manufactured in China at a professional plant and then assembled in the US by Ryan. RBT has been touting that the new Chinese parts are built to exceed his original expectations, so I don’t think we should be too concerned about any drop in quality. Also, the V1 release includes improvements such as a lower-profile 510 adapter with ceramic components. If you don’t have a Splinter already I suggest you pick up the V1 as it is, technically, an improved version of the older products.

The V1 stem glass might be a little thinner, I’m not too sure about that, but I don’t think it will make much of a difference because the Splinter delivers some heat. Vapor from my Splinter Z with a cooling mouthpiece (Xl8r jr) is a whole lot cooler than with the short standard stem, but I’ve become accustomed to either/or. I haven’t tried the longer standard glass stem.

Can’t talk on the Imp as I’ve never tried it myself. But it does look smaller in size than the Splinter, which is something I wouldn’t mind in terms of portability. Also looks like the Imp brings a cooling stem standard. Personally, I do appreciate the glass-lined oven of the RBT Splinter over anything with a wooden vapor path though.

Was that a whole mess of V1 Splinters I saw on RBT's Instagram story today? I thought they weren't shipping until February.

Sounds like my splinter has developed a rattle. Not abused it in any way (hardly used it at all tbh). Are all splinters developing a rattle?

In less exciting news I saw Ryan on Instagram the other day and it sounds like the V1 is gonna suffer from that stinky black packing foam like the Fierce preorder did. Sounded like he was leaning toward shipping the orders he has as opposed to delaying a week or two to redo the packaging.

Had it since September @Grifo , but only gets used once or twice a month. Never been dropped, never taken out of the house, stored on top of a mod. But all of a sudden a rattle! Got me scratching my head :hmm:
