510 ecig battery suggestions?

I’m interested in upgrading from the half-disposable crappy $5 ecig batteries from eBay that I use with prefilled cartridges I get from the dispensary. But there are just so many battery companies out there, with most seeming to be made by the same couple of Chinese factories with different logos stuck on -does anybody have a line on what’s actually reputable and worth the money? I don’t mind paying for quality, but I sure don’t want to pay extra for a fancy marketing scheme.

It also has to be very light weight - I have a clover overlord adjustable voltage battery that I rarely use because it’s too big and damn heavy, even though it works well. I’ve never tried the batteries that look like a key fob, but would be happy to if recommended… Thank you everyone!

Hate to be dense, but are you talking about pen suggestions that your cart screws in?

If so, are you familiar with Exxus?

https://www.exxusvape.com/

Exactly, I’m getting prefilled cartridges for my dispensary that I want to screw in. Sorry if I didn’t use the right terminology - I have not heard of exxus, you like them? They talk about having a warranty on their site, but I couldn’t actually find the warranty information…

I do like them. I think their build quality is far superior to other no-name brands (at least for the pens I got). I haven’t researched their warranty, but they’ve been a pleasure to deal with. Give them a call if you have any questions.

I got the original Snap and the Snap VV. I prefer the VV, because of its cartridge size variability (with the 2 different size magnets) and greater voltage control. I also got the full length magnet extender in case I got a cart that was too wide to fit in the device.

They’re having a holiday sale now. A good time to try them out.

I hope this helps.

Ccell Palm for around $20 on eBay has been my upgrade from the vv eBay pen batteries. No buttons and the one wattage setting works great.

My apologies, I should’ve followed the rules of ask FC and been more specific about my needs:

I’m going to have to say no to the magnet system. With my arthritis I would not always have the dexterity to be screwing on those tiny pieces and I know I would drop them all the time.

I prefer the batteries that look like a pen or stylus, the thinner and smaller the better.

I actually attach them to a retractable badge clip, then clip them onto my shirt so I can always medicate as needed and if I fumble it, it’s on the cord already and won’t fall.

This is the smallest vv pen I've found. The micro USB is handy, the 3.4 and 4.1 settings both work well, and they're trimmer than my twist style pens:

Me and @Abysmal Vapor are admittedly just showing you more of the cheapo five dollar pen batteries. I do like the performance of those tiny 400mah ones I linked above though if the small size is a worthy tradeoff for you.

I prefer the evod twist to the vision spinner models AV linked to, though I can't attest to their longevity myself. More specifically, I prefer the twist style pen batteries that have a silver colored button rather than the plastic button up near the threads, which tend to feel cheap and less clicky. I always tend to go for the smallest size Twist since I don't give them enough use to make battery life a problem, so I'm generally looking for a 650mah. They come in a range of sizes like the Spinner though. I find the black ones to have the voltage labeled more clearly. Both the Evod Twist and Vision Spinners go up to 4.8v, which is plenty high enough. As it were.

Thank you to everyone, this is exactly the type of info I was looking for! I didn’t even realize those smaller size spinners existed, they look fabulous. I think I’m actually going to order a few of these so I’m covered for every situation!

Got these in the mail and I cannot say enough good things about them! Thank you thank you thank you! You wouldn’t happen to have a favorite charger that you use with them, do you?

No, micro USB is generally more convenient for me than the 510 threaded USB dongles though. Glad you liked them. Try a ccell Palm for $20 on eBay next. No buttons and just one voltage that hits great. I worry about them less in the pocket.

So I got one of these and they don’t seem to work with the cartridges I use  Maybe not strong enough battery or something? I can taste like it’s trying to burn but no go...same thing happened with those little $2 CBD type pens, but this battery was pricey, so not sure the connection

Ah well, added it to the discard pile...

I'd see about returning/replacing if you got it from eBay. I have two and they both work great with the carts I've tried. Typical cloudy cart hits where you don't notice how big they are until you exhale (and then start coughing).

Sorry to hear about your bad experience in any case.

So, Fastech gets a thumb’s-up? Their site seems not to have been updated since 2014, and the reviews are literally all over the map: you must check every variation of a given style to see all reviews - even when the only distinction is color.

Also, I know nothing about the various ‘mizers, especially their ohmage: my most recent cart is very different from any others I’ve seen, and of course, no name or provenance. How does one figure out what to use with which?

Sorry for the super basic questions, but everything has dried up completely here, except I can on occasion land a 510-threaded cart or two @ $50 per, and all the batteries I have are dead or broken except the one with the insides coming out....

Not clear what you are saying, Blue.

This field recently opened up, suddenly there is a lot of 510 batteries on the market.

I personally prefer the small, ergonomic ones. Found the low voltage ones have tasty hits, while
The higher (3.7V +) is a bit harsher, by comparison.

My current fave is the Kind Pen Mist VV, with its lowest setting @2.4V. Not for everybody, and it’s
Lower storage capacity might not suit the hi-demand lifestyle.

It’s tiny, and works for me.

I recent purchased an O.Pen 2.0. I’m not sure how it will work out. I also have a cartridge vaporizer that uses magnets and I’ve forgotten the name of it and I can’t find it. It’s pretty good. It has sort of an oval shape. The big issue with it is that the opening is too small and a lot of carts stick too far out.

Edit: I think it’s the PCKT, maybe.

At blue (3.4V) being its lowest setting, ^ the Exxus ^ is similar to the Ccell batteries (@3.7V).

I like the form factor of the newer Ccell Darts (were it not also 3.7V)— it doesn’t look like the
“traditional” dorky looking pen vapes. :ninja: (I am in a liberal/legal state)

Nice feel in the palm of your hand.

Decided the simplest path was to follow your advice: just popped for a Mist.
