Gear D-nail thread

So after lots of back n forth my dnail finally arrived! Apparently the post office lost my package for 2 weeks! Yay post office! Now to the dnail...I can’t use it because they forgot the power cord AND the nail.
You can order a cheap nail from thick ass glass, I used their's before my d-nail one. It worked well enough and is pretty cheap for a titanium nail. Could also try to get a cheap power cord off amazon, I'm not sure how standard the connector is, I use an auber.

I wonder why d-nail is having so many issues lately.....

Edit: I just saw someone post Tag is having a 20% off thing until 12/19.

Does anyone know if the D-nail carb cap is more or less metal mass than the v-rod carb cap? I got the vrod carb cap since the d-nail one is out of stock and this one seems pretty hefty. Does anyone know how the d-nail cap compares in size?

Well it's smaller ... but I'm not sure about weight (the d-nail one is smaller). I can let you know more exactly (and post side-by-side pics) next week when I receive my upgraded VROD carb cap :)

I've been back and forth with someone from dnail. He's been telling me the carb caps are coming tomorrow for a few days now. I keep holding off on ordering the vrod cap but about sick of this nonsense.

That was exactly my experience. They kept saying any day they would be in stock. I'm starting to wonder if they are having problems with the manufacturing process.

Edit: I ended up settling for the vrod carb cap which works fine and seals perfectly. I still want to get the dnail carb cap to compare them... But to anyone waiting on the dnail carb cap, the vrod carb cap will work

D-nail is such an incompetent company I would recommend doing no further business with them. Their SiC dish can be ordered from NewVape along with the newvape base and the Vrod carb cap (fits on the d-nail SiC dish). You won't have to deal with idiots that way.

Damn I wish I'd read this before I ordered a SiC Halo + forked dabber (which is apparently back ordered according to someone on reddit, no mention of this on their website at all).

I ordered on December 8th and my order is still "processing", the person on reddit who said the forked dabber was back ordered said it took them 3 weeks before they shipped anything.

Wonder how long they'll hold on to my money without sending anything.

Well, they were already having problems before black friday so I can only imagine it's gotten worse since all the black friday orders. They just can't function as a business anymore. It's quite sad.

I had the same issue as you where the order was stuck on processing. I had to keep calling and calling them and it turns out they forgot to ship it or something. They might throw in something free with your order if this is the case.

Regardless, I will not do business with D-nail again. I will be purchasing from newvape or another company that can prove they know how to run a business.

Good luck to you

Thanks Fcuk. I'm about to leave on vacation for a few weeks so I'll have to hound them near the end/when I get back. Agreed on not using them again, I was interested in the carb cap for the Halo before this mess but found through this thread the vrod cap fits fine and is sold by a company that operates properly.

Okay so Dnail finally got to me and overnighted the power cord and nail they forgot. I spoke to the operations manager and from what I gathered it seems it’s more of a staffing issue than a manufacturing issue, but both can be true.

Even though my order was finally fulfilled, I had a less than stellar experience. In fact, it was very painful. First of all the website is horrid. It’s not fluid at all. Most things are out of stock or not updated. Second, the customer service and communication was close to the worst I have ever experienced. Like others have mentioned, they take forever to respond to messages. At best it was 24 hours wait time and worst a week. I was constantly carroted around, staff was seemingly clueless.

I started inquiring beginning of nov. and my order was finally placed on nov 24th. My order wasn’t shipped until December 4th. Tracking number that is given says order has a preshipment label but usps hasn’t received. They then claim the order is lost it’s usps fault. On the 11th tracking updates and says order is received. I receive my order on the 13th no power cord or nail. During all this they post on their Instagram and even message me they were throwing in “goodies” for all the late/delayed order. Nothing extra is with my order and they even forgot the manual. I’m told they will send me a hat, what’s my hat size. Oops they forgot that too. I don’t care about the extras. All I want is a quality product for a fair price done in a reasonable time. But the fact they were offering all this extra for their screwups just to flake is really sketch in my book. Also the dnail is not that great build quality. The power cord outlet is very wiggly when inserting or removing the power cord.

All in all I would not do business with this company again. I’m very upset and honestly I don’t even want the thing anymore. All excitement killed. I deeply regret not going with something else. I should have gone with the new maxvapor enail @maxvapor710 , the newvape flowerpot @newvape918 , August Haus kube, VapeXhale evo, or the ditanium vaporizer @DITANIUM VAPOR. Don’t make my mistake and maybe you’ll save on stress and frustration. In the meantime I just ordered a 25mm barrel coil and banger from @710Coils. That should make it better. Right? :(

Edit: this was originally a wedding gift for a friend of 15 years but because of the delays I got him glass instead.

@radiantchipmunk Man I am soo sorry you had such a bad experience with getting a controller. Let me shine some light on this dark moment and assure you there will be goodies involved with your package before it goes out. Hopefully they will help with the sting and still get you some brownie points for the late (But awesome) gift.

Expect tracking shortly and hope you are having a great day

Tempted to grab one of your flat coils for my SiC dish... Currently running the auber coil which works but the coil outside diameter is 24mm and the dish OD is 28. I see your coil is 26mm with a good amount of wraps. Might give more consistent heat...

edit: I have also noticed that the auber coil is rated for 100 watts where yours is rated to 150 watts. Does this just make the coil last longer?

@Fcuk-Combustion there is a setting you will want to adjust when running a 150watt coil.

Here is info on how to find the setting and what to set it to:

To adjust Auber RDK-300 controller for any 150watt coil. Hold down the knob for 5 seconds, the small power indicator light will start blinking. Turn the knob clockwise and scroll to 166 that is the access code(if you overshoot turn the knob counterclockwise to go down) then push the knob down once to and you will come to P-125, press the knob again to get to I-60, and press again to D-10, press the knob once more and you will come to OTH-40, This is the setting you will want to change from 40 to 67 for all 150watt coils. Press the knob one more time for auto shutoff and set to desired minutes and then press the knob one final time to exit.

Once you change the above. It should help improve the performance as it is set to 100 watt by default

Anything to adjust on the Omron's for 15oW coils?

Huh so I checked my order status today and it's marked as "completed" which really means that it's "shipped" >.> unfortunately won't be back in the state until beginning of January so there's no way to know if they sent everything as they've been known to leave things out apparently. I think i'm going to shoot them an email and let them know that so that when I get back and if everything is not there they don't think that I'm trying to pull a fast one.

Anyone know of another carb cap besides the VRod that'll fit the Halo? Or how often new vape restocks them? Went to go pick one up but they're out of stock :\

Do either of the NewVape Showerhead or Lollicap fit?

lol ... yeah ... I'd file a case w/ PayPal or Visa or whoever ... but to be honest over the $30 in parts I just can't be bothered ... I've already wasted enough time on d-nail. Might follow up with 1 more e-mail then they'll never hear from me again.

Fuck d-nail and their shitty customer service.

Thing is ... every time you contact them they are super apologetic and insist they are going to take care of you etc etc ... and then they just never follow through on their word.

Very upsetting ... who gives a shit about the $30 ... I just would have liked my parts before most of a year had gone by and I had moved on from their device anyways making their parts irrelevant ... whatever ... fuck ... (my filter seems to be off ... guess that's what happens when I'm working lots, not sleeping much, and have a damn cold too!) ... ... whoa is me! ...

Edit: And they've sent me more than $30 in additional stuff I did not order or ask for ... ... the 14/18 base to get me by ... and sent me the sapphire disc which isn't all that useful with the Halo ... oh well ... had to pester them for a couple months just to get them to send me anything initially!!!!!!

Do I guess right that your current nail of choice is the @710Coils setup? Or do you go with D-Nail Halo dishes and NV hardware?

So do you think the sapphire disc for the Halo isn't a real improvement?

Wow, its been a couple of years since I ordered my Slim-line with SiC Halo. At that time, everything was in stock and shipped complete.

I did NOT buy a controller from them as I thought their prices were far too high..

I have watched a bit of this "out of stock" stuff on their site and it does not inspire confidence in me about their continued viability.

Too bad, hope I'm wrong.

It's worse than you think likely. If you have what you need to keep it going; you'll be fine.

Reviewing their Facebook account it doesn't look too good; my own experience with them last time ... made me not want to buy another thing from them

Fairly sure they'll go Bankrupt soon or just close their doors. Their site has gone offline a few times the past few months.
