Thanks to Herborizer for sending me a glass reducer with the micro bowl for free. When i placed my order it was not available on the site.
One thing i like about the Sherlock already, is the pleasant cool vapor you get without water
It's tiny and i love its shape, it feels robust for its tininess. But is it safe for clumsy fellows? I have my doubts :uhoh: But i'm more known for spilling beverages on carpets and electronic devices, but treating my glass carefully:brow:

Santa Claus is French! I received an early x-mas gift and feeling very spoiled. Disclaimer: this post will induce heavy VAS

I ordered a bunch of replacement glass heater covers, bowls etc. Opened up the box to find this:

Have only gotten a few sessions in, but heres my first impressions. It hits HARD! To me, it seems even more powerful than the analog Ti, which was already ridiculously powerful. Out of the box, mine was set to 350, and I found this too hot for my tastes (I tend to be a flavor chaser and don't like coughing). At the moment I'm on 280 and it's producing rich, tasty vapor, comparable with other 'heavy-hitters' in my collection. The heat-up time is also really impressive (3 mins) and means I don't have to think ahead.

The Sherlock is very nice, although I think it cements the Herborizer Ti as a strictly tabletop/desktop vape and NOT a lounge/party/passing-around vape (for me, thats the Mighty/Crafty's domain). I've broken my fair share of glass over the years, and learned this lesson the hard way.

I've been vaping dry for quite a while, and find the Sherlock gives enough cooling compared to other pieces in my collection.

I like how the cable is permanently connected to the heater, because the connector on the analog Ti has a tendency to wiggle out and lose power.. The cable on the DigiTi could be a little longer, but then again its long enough for desktop-only use. It seems the shorter cable would only be an issue for loungeroom vaping, like putting the controller on a coffee-table and lean back into a chair (exactly how I've broken glass and now strictly avoiding with the Ti LOL)

Regarding the temp drop on inhaling - I'm able to drop the temp from 280 to 265, when I do my biggest/longest possible inhale. About 2 seconds into the inhale, the "OUT(AT)" light comes on, and stays on until it reaches temp again. So I guess the sensor is doing it job. This temperature drop doesn't bother me in the slightest.

Overall, I think its an amazing vape. I wouldn't find it necessary to upgrade from the analog Ti though. If you're short on money, get the analog Ti - Its just as good, and has more than enough power for 99% of users I think.

Will do a usage video of the DigiTi/Sherlock soon.

Excellent summary @bleak and a warm welcome aboard the DigiTi train.
And phew! It's about time some of you proper reviewers came to the fore after I have failed pitifully myself trying to hold up the fort.

I can relate to everything you have described and so much of what you say here is my own perceptions and thoughts particularly how the heater is more responsive, and I also both feel and reason that it hits a little harder.

The first heat up is Ace isn't it not to mention knowing exactly what temperature heater is at.
Yes I also found 350° C a little bit too hot. Going through water 300 degrees gives ample amounts of dense smooth and flavorful vapour but I think this was still a little too hot with the Sherlock.

So I'm not surprised you have settled en 280 I can't really tolerate dry vaping very well anyway but the Sherlock definitely requires a slightly lower temp.

Your experience with the 15 degree temp drop with your maximum long draws is exactly the same as mine. Drops fast reaches the bottom very quickly but instantly Springs back and is up to temperature before I'm ready for my next hit. And I definitely didn't notice any effect on performance I mean the heat is not being lost it's just taking the goods out of the herb right?

The only thing I really want to change about this if possible is the length of the lead I would like a much longer one at least 4 foot I will ask Sebastien if this is possible when I return mine for repair.

Seb is no doubt very appreciative of your excellent video reviews @bleak of his previous models. Hence his astounding generosity but also a clever business move with you being such a well poised and excellent professional reviewer. You really put me to shame, Im such a fraud lol!

But none of you both has the opinion the digi really is performing better than the analog?
It would need a side by side or course. But not necessarily logic and precise heater behaviour observation alone tells us we can assume it will have slightly harder hitting potential and more stability of temperature or a better controlled extraction and may be slightly better longevity from the load as well, where maybe the analogue heater could be more prone to overheating for all we know regardless of the possible longer time to compensate for heat being sucked out of the heater.

So I'm fairly satisfied in my mind that this makes perfect sense. And @bleak has spoken. Hw knows his vapes and ganja and doesn't talk shit like moi so that is good enough assurance for me.

I also go heavily by intuituon. We are able to accurately sense so much more than we realise when we can trust and tune into our intuition more. We can know the exact minute and hour of the day, without a watch. We just dont believe, realise, or know how to tap into these abilities.

I used to know the exact time quite often and would often amaze friends I could never believe I didn't have a watch. And many other amazing psychic things I have seen and done in the past.

Sorry, edibles get me rambling. Bottom line, my senses and mind tell me the DigiTi hits a little harder. But as Bleak says, nothing lacking from the analogue. Just a slightly upgraded heater now.

I may have found a solution for debris falling down the stem: using 2 stock screens instead of 1, one on top of the other.
Airflow is not affected and piling up at the bottom of the piece seems over.

+1 This is exactly what I do. It works!

One thing i like about the Sherlock already, is the pleasant cool vapor you get without water :tup:It's tiny and i love its shape, it feels robust for its tininess. But is it safe for clumsy fellows?

To be honest, no! The mouthpiece is quite thin glass. For me, this makes the Sherlock strictly desktop-only, not a lounge-room piece.

Thanks for your compliments! You're no fraud :) Making media has always been my thing. In your particular field/specialty I'm sure you're also MUCH better than me!! Theres some things that most people know, where I would struggle (eg. changing a tyre). I'm a bit of a one-trick pony :)

But none of you both has the opinion the digi really is performing better than the analog?

Depends on what you mean by "better". I'd say the Digi is more powerful than the analog - and by that I mean it can get hotter overall, and heats up much faster. But the thing is, I find the analog pretty overpowered to begin with. The highest I ever went on the dial was 6, and can't imagine a situation where anyone would want to go higher? (unless they wanted a near-combustion effect) In my opinion, the analog was the best-performing vape I've ever tried, its so close to perfect that I can't really think of how to improve it (except the unrealistic ideas, like unbreakable glass that never gets hot!)

I do have to say the faster heat-up time is very nice. Its great being able to sit down, turn on the vape, and its ready by the time you've ground and loaded your herb. With the analog, I would turn it on, and then go make a drink, turn on the x-box etc while it warms up. But that is more about convenience, I wouldn't say it increases the vaping performance per se. Once they're hot, it would be impossible to tell them apart in a blind taste test.

Heres a good analogy. They are both Ferrari's and drive exactly the same. The Digi Ferarri has the modern bells and whistles, but they don't increase the basic performance of the car. They just make the driving experience a little more convenient/comfortable in certain ways. In the hands of an experienced driver, both cars would get the exact same time on a racecourse.

If you already have the analog, theres no big need to upgrade, unless you have the cash laying around and want a new toy. I certainly don't mind having both the analog and the Digi! If you're a new user deciding between the two - The decision comes down to your budget. The Digi has its conveniences, but is also quite a bit more expensive. If you're looking to save money, get the analog, it hits every bit as hard as the Digi. Personally I think the analog Ti vape-only kit (without any bubbler) is actually good value and not overly expensive.

@bleak - Nice! So, that sherlock that attaches to the stand serves as a base and a pipe?

Yeah, thats it! Both a stand, and a pipe, its a very cool idea. Someone raised the question of what happens when oil builds up inside. I can see it dripping down and making a mess on the titanium base, potentially glueing the two pieces together. I'll do some "science experiments" and get this nice and dirty, as a service to the forum

Heres a good analogy

If you already have the analog
 I had to read that second one a few times, I thought I was having deja-vu loo.

Very interesting thoughts Bleak on the Digi/analog(y) comparison. Yes I also say the analog system is very affordable indeed for such a top-class desktop.
One thing I would be curious about is temperature stability during use to see if the analog varies more. @stickstones may be able to provide some data on this someday. But there may be a more stable temp during hits with the Ti.
If so, this would surely alter the vape signature slightly in some way. The Sherlock was a breeze to dismantle and clean. You could probably just give the titanium base I wipe with ISO now and then to keep all the oil from getting onto it but maintenance with this piece would be so easy prevention being better than cure I expect.

Thanks, @bleak, I already have the analog and am pretty happy with it. Up-heating could be a bit faster but no reason alone to change to a digi. I'm glad the Herbo is slowly getting the appreciation it deserves. I love my Showerhead a bit more overall but my Herbo 'Sandmann' is my preferred desktop device to hit me to sleep. And btw it's the best-designed desktop vape of all. Just its use for trates is shitty.

@Alexis dear friend, you are a proper vaporist and your first review was very informative.

@bleak was one of the first guys on the internet who upload this astonish video of the Herborizer XL and the Ti.

that's all

Thanks man and Im only joking around anyhow. Im in no position or fit state to do anything very well. I've got huge respect for @bleak for his refreshingly fun and outwardly optimistic approach to life. His video reviews are sheer class as we all know, and his Instagram pictures of travels and adventure are such a tease to me at times confined to home myself. But a pleasure at the same time.

I think a DigiTi package is well deserved for the sheer quality of those other video reviews. Can't wait to see if there will be another??

In fact, that's it. Im struggling so much with fatigue to motivate myself to get my own model fixed. But Im going to watch @bleak 's Ti video again and again to inspire me into action.

That very video enticed me excitedly in initially last year. Not every new vape release is accompanied by such an amazingly fun, upbeat and professional 3rd party review.

So I hear :) I hear it also has better flavor then the flowerpot
This does appear to be echoed by a good number of users in fact, which is just again mighty testament to the Herborizer as the Flowerpot has some superb flavours at lower temps like >600.

Herbo is definitely a little smoother I feel. The effects themselves though is my favorite thing about the Ti and for me is the more obvious distinction to the Flowerpot, with a different vape signature and slightly deeper, longer lasting effects.
And despite being capable of very fast extraction, I was recently surprised how well I was able to really stretch a load out at lower temps with multiple smooth hits without taste suffering.

I seemed to get so much vapor from my herb. The Herbo is very efficient IMO. It can plough through bud but it strips those actives and delivers them in full array, without leaving much behind, and in a very bioactive, absorbable and preserved state.

That is the mark of a great vaporizer when it comes down to it.

I received my Digi Ti a couple of days ago and Santa really is French! :D

This thing is the real deal. Hits hard and the flavor is amazing. The flavor is sooo good!! The Sherlock is really nice too!

I was a bit concerned reading about the 15C temp drops when inhaling, but in use it's a non-issue for me. Like @Alexis and @bleak have said by the time your done inhaling/exhaling and ready for the next rip the Herbo is already back up to temp and ready to go. I'm using it right from the stand with no bowl pre-heating.

I also have the NV Showerhead and Glass Symphony in rotation, which I love. I know it's only been a couple of honeymoon days so far, but right now the Herbo Digi Ti is my favorite.

Everything about this kit is civilized! Hits hard, very medicating, tastes fucking amazing hit after hit.

Now I understand and agree that this vape doesn't get as much love as it deserves.

Last note, Alexis and bleak were the enablers here. But @Hogni sold me with his 'Sandman' reference. The Herbo really is the Sandman.

Merry Christmas!

@ew91 cant wait to hear more about your experiences as the DigiTi has me VASsing big time.we have the same desktops in rotation minus the DigiTi. I had a XL with a weak controller and was not impressed but love the details and design in the DigiTi minus the 12V enail choice.

Please report back in. A few days on your experiences @ew91 thanks.

@Dubmonkey will do brother. Let me know if any temp in particular. I have my NV @ 612f, GS @ 850f, and Herbo @ 347c (~647)

Agree the 12V system isn't ideal with the extra PS brick. It really works well though.

Hogni

@ew91, I'm glad you agree with my opinion. May the Herbo medicate you well! Do you have the microdose bowl and the stand with the stainless base? It's a must-have IMO. But forget all the concentrate accessories and possibilities. Not worth the money and just a source of annoyance if you ever have tried other, better working stuff before.

My current desktop setups:

- Showerhead for herbs in daytime use/ Supreme V3 for testing the flavor profile of new herbs
- Herbo Ti "Sandmann" for herbs to deliver deep relaxation in the evening and putting me to slumberland
- 30mm opaque banger with inserts and axial coil from @710Coils for trates.

Admittedly my VAS is triggering me to add the GS and VRod. But honestly - what for?
The VRod seems to me just as a compromise solution to get the performance of the SH and the banger in one device. It can do both jobs good but not as good as the two called specialized devices.
Tastewise the GS may top the SH but it's so damned huge and breakable :ugh: and I don't believe it's more analytical than the SV3, especially that used with a glass bowl.

Merry Christmas and happy herborizing!
