Howzit Sublimator Ohana! What is happening with the Sublimator.ca website? My Monkey Controller died over a month ago and I have been checking both Sublimator.ca and PlanetVape.ca and no one will get back to me. I am using some backup vaporizers, but it is not the same! Enrico, where are the updates? You cannot introduce a revolutionary product and then not support it! Come on, leggo! ;)
Switch your fuse in the controller bro and see if it comes back to life. Check this thread for pics and info.:tup:i can’t wait to buy one!

The nut under the button - it can need an adjustment stopping the button/knob from working.

The solder on the power cable to circuit board snaps easy as the case is off centre.

Both of those problems will cause it to not turn on.

Damn you gotta be an electrician to own a Sublimator? Thought Enrico would have this thing more polished by now. Guess it's STILL not time to buy one:cry:

Not really, but it is relatively owner-repairable for those willing. The fuse is easier to replace than laptop RAM for example, you don't NEED to be a technician to swap either, you should simply know what to do before attempting.

In practice the Sub's a very simple apparatus to use, and whilst under warranty the company looks after you in accordance to the RRP.

What you should be, in order to own the Sub, is a fuck combustioner with a comfortable tolerance and strong desire to get higher than you've ever been from flower.

I love the Sublimator, it's the best. As an already avid vaporist and prior a massive bong fiend, the Sub has enlightened me to another level of entertainment - I wish I got one years earlier.

Coming up to a years ownership and it's been one of the best years for a while

@MoltenTiger Haha word! Sometimes I'll be sitting in a subbed out haze and wonder if this monster of a vape really is the best or if I'm just a huge fanboy. It's like I don't want it to be my favorite because of the price and elitist feeling of a being a vapor connoisseur it gives me. Without it I probably wouldn't have made combustion fuck off for the most part.

I dabbed a nice glob of sublimate last night. Without the Sub I'd never be able to have the pleasure, without going through an impractical ordeal. You can't just buy dabs here, and it's an ordeal making your own, there's no way I'd be having as big a dab if I had to pay for it directly either.
The Sub makes dabs for me as I use it. Sure you get reclaim from other devices, but it's the amount and frequency the Sub generates oil that puts it into a league of it's own - before you focus on the effect itself, which is the full potential of vaporisation.
It might get different, it does not get better.

But what's going on with Sublimator? He got no replies from any distribution site since weeks and all the long time announced new stuff doesn't come w/o any update of information. Enrico also didn't post any new vid since more than one year.
Is Sublimator still alive at all?

That's what I'm wondering. It seems like they've died at this point which would be really sad because I was hoping to add this or the flower pot to my collection real soon but with no word on what's happening with them I'm leaning towards the flower pot. Does anyone in here own both so I can get an idea how similar they are in effects? They seem very similar in design so I don't see the effects being that different but maybe I'm wrong and the Sublimator really is doing something different.

I dont think any other device out there yet has been declared to have a heavier effect. Flowerpot included. Not that they are not close, but I think the Sub may still be regarded as the heavier hitter than most if not all other desktops. Other units are usually preferred due to practical factors like heat up time, convenience, safety etc.

My thoughts exactly. I happen to have both units. Sub for the best part of three years and FPSH/WA for 7 months.
I actually busted them out together side by side today!
Even hit them once or twice together with the Claisen I must admit... VERY smooth! :rockon:but they seem to "accelerate" at different rates because of the airflow, so I almost combusted on the Sub, whilst the FP got a massive hotspot  Still WIP I guess. Fun times ahead.

Sub still has the edge on extraction, even for micro-dosing, as you can just cover the screen and get really nice hits.
But due to the flaws already mentioned by @Alexis it kinda suits a bigger piece better, it is more stable and seems to be what Enrico had in mind originally too?
That being said, it is smooth enough to be hit through a J-hook. :freak:

The FP makes up for its somewhat lesser extraction power in how practical it is to use. In spades. It is a breeze to clean if you do it regularly, and can hit very, very close to a Sub.
Taste differs because I have the SS atomiser so sometimes it is more pronounced on the FP, even with a slight Ti taste, and sometimes "fuller" on the Sub. Also depends on the strain I guess.

At the end of the day, the Sub is what helped me fuck combustion (FAST I may say!) but I also like having the FP on deck. They both complement each other very well.
Being practical, I admit to use more the FP, but also due to the Subs relative old age I wanted to keep it a bit under wraps so I can enjoy it longer hopefully.

I also wanted to give more use to my two tubes, which were a little abandoned, so had the idea of using the Sub on one tube and the FP on a smaller rig.
I really like it! best of both worlds again: lately I was too overwhelmed by the tubes and by having to hit that all the time as an only option, was a little tiring. And on the contrary, rigs forced me to crouch into uncomfortable positions. I'll see how I like it with twice the cleaning...
EDIT: even though FP struggles a little on high airflow tubes, or ones with a big, say 60mm body. IME it really shines on rigs up to 30cm, more or less (depending on your height, of course).

Hope it helps in any way.

And FWIW I know of a place or two that still has it? Located in EU though.

When my sub had issues they sorted me out but I dealt with nutrilife Kelly irc they did the distribution for sublimator , same business address etc. Over the last six months there been a few odd posts on insta from sublimator like “hostile takeover”. The same has happened with nutrilife , management changed and dumped the staff etc .. I did message enrico he replied changes happening .. wether that means they look for new distribution etc we have to wait .. I doubt enrico release upgrades knowing he got issues so I believe it out of his control and maybe lawyers involved.

Mahalo brah! Replacing the fuse didn't help. The nut under the button??? Controller powers on but when I connect the Apollo to it, the "Green Light" disappears. It sounds like the culprit. What do you mean, it can need an adjustment. Can you elaborate? Thanks!

Sub still has the edge on extraction, even for micro-dosing, as you can just cover the screen and get really nice hits.

I'm a Sublimator advocate and have tried many different vaporizers yet my #1 is the Sublimator period! When properly heated, this beast is unstoppable! Many have attempted to disprove the Sublimator and happily failed... I haven't found anything that is remotely close to it! ;)

Pull the knob off, there is a hexagon nut just make sure it is lightly snug. They can move around stopping the knob button from making contact and turning it on.

However if yours turns on first I doubt its that nut, sorry.

So to clarify your saying it powers on fine and you can select temp but as soon as you plug in the apollo xlr connection it turns off?

Yes, that's exactly what happens. Any ideas? Mahalo!

Almost there...
@Hogni

Have you had a look at the Sublimator website lately?
They still have the out of stock top banner...
But now in the middle of the page they have:

NEW PRODUCT COMING SOON – CHECK BACK FOR UPDATES

So I wonder what is going on??

I also saw on their IG page they are selling seeds?
https://www.instagram.com/thesublimator/?hl=en

So maybe things are looking up again for SubCulture!

It's been saying that for a long time now. Months even. I've been quietly hoping the "new product" would be a digital controller so I'll be a little disappointed if it turns out to be seeds.

I know about a trial 2(?)y ago. Something regarding large size commercial growing sfaik. But it ended with a financial penalty. Maybe something new happened after that? But must have been last year. Would make sense that nothing was heard from him all the time. But how knows. Perhaps he only had a longer break to enjoy all his well earned money

:chill: :spliff:  :smug:

EDIT: Sublimator seeds just seems to be a new variety released by r-kiem seeds in honour to Enrico.

having a weird time trying to reach www.sublimator.ca ; it's redirecting me to a google search for "How to buy generic accutane Isotretinoin generic online"

That's pretty odd!

If nothing shows, someone else should bring uber power to the table. The flower pot looks okay, but not the same. There were some guys in Western Australia making something similar to that a few years back (enail vape adapters).

There's definitely something happening with the Sub though, but not much needs to. They should be cheaper, and available...

Now Canada is legal, maybe something will happen sooner rather than later

Yeah I had the same thing about a week ago.

I got sick of checking the website so I'd bookmarked it and it started taking me to that same search. I tried entering the address manually and it did the same, so I ended up googling the site and getting through from there. I bookmarked it again and now that works for me.

Either way, as a potential customer who would be an existing customer if they'd get their shit together, the only thing they have going for them in my eyes is what users say about their product. Other than that I'm not impressed.

I hate their bullshit pseudoscience claims, I hate their obscene pricing, I hate the fact that they'd be willing to charge so much for a vape and use a low quality plastic analogue temp control that doesn't even measure in degrees (and yet still costs over a hundred dollars ffs), and I hate the fact that they're so unreliable that not only can they fail to keep a desirable product on the market but they can't even update customers as to the state of their company.

What they have is a solid vape with potentially the best atomizer available. I don't see how hard it can be to capitalize on that fact by having a reliable manufacture and distribution pipeline and charging a competitive price instead of an arm and a leg because of some bullshit Hogwarts BiOgAsSiFiCaTiOn nonsense. Considering how much the scene is blowing up on the back of the global trend for legalization, it doesn't really speak wonders for their brand.

If a competitor I can actually respect hits the scene before the Sub team gets their shit together I'm in like Flynn.

I sneak a bowl of CANNABIS on a water pipe sometime’s.
Having said that?
VAPORIZERS satisfies my need 2 MEDICATE!
What I like about the SUB is it will prevent me from back sliding?
