I just received this mod box and will be reviewing it soon. The manufacturer asked me to make a thread. Is that ok with the mods? Just asking. :)

The question is: Do YOU want to create this thread? if yes, there is no problem, bro!

I think they are a new manufacturer, and I thought they had to be approved by admin? No? I just don’t want to break any rules. :)

I also received one, here's my review:

Magicbox-S cartridge oil vaporizer from Vangecco $26
Includes Magicbox-S unit, .5ml oil cartridge, USB charge cable, short and long adapter rings, and manual.

Have used it half a dozen times and it works great.
It’s a simple set up, a battery(in a plastic Zippo shaped box), and a place to plug in your cartridge. It arrived charged. Not knowing if the provided cartridge was cotton or ceramic, I screwed an Apex CCell cartridge into the long adapter, dropped it in the cartridge dock, five clicks on, press/hold to draw and the Magicbox-S delivered nicely on all three temperature settings.

Similar to the Honeystick BeeKeeper ($29) and the Apex Palm ($24) in function and price, the Magicbox-S’ casing is more like the Beekeeper in build quality, with it’s thin lightweight plastic. I prefer the Palm’s metal body.

What it has over both the Beekeeper and the Palm is three temperature settings. auto preheat, and a flip top lid(which keeps your mouthpiece clean.) The three temperature settings all provided clouds straight away, which I’m guessing speaks to the pre-heat function.

Regarding the Zippo form factor, while a cool novelty I’m not sure it’s actually fulfilling what I’m guessing was one of it’s original purposes, stealth.

Now that e-juice vaporizers are everywhere from CA to VA, I wonder which would garner more unwanted attention, drawing from a tank with a mod, or drawing from a wooden zippo lighter? (I had similar questions during the Indica vaporizer days and designed a magnetic cigarette shaped mouthpiece for it to offset drawing directly from the lighter.) It’s certainly stealthy when not in use though, easily mistaken for a Zippo in a purse and again, the flip top keeps the mouthpiece clean.

Unfortunately I haven't been able to get a good picture of it in use yet, but felt guilty not getting to the review. I'll update as soon as possible.

I think people looking for an inexpensive cartridge set up with some added features, beginning cartridge users, and Zippo fans especially, might enjoy this vape.

What’s in the box:

Universal battery (mod box). 650 mAh

1/2 gram oil cartridge

1 short adapter ring

1 middle adapter ring

1 USB charging cable

1 user manual

I’ve only had this mod box about a week, so this isn’t a long term review.

Hinges could be a weak point. I like to flip it open and closed. Like I do my Apple AirPod case. It’s kinda satisfying, but I can see how it could weaken the hinge over time. I’m going to have to stop doing that.

It’s made of plastic, but seems to be constructed fairly well. They have several patterns available, even faux wood. From a distance, it looks like real wood, but up close you can tell it’s not, especially when it is open. The unit I was sent is Rosewood.

This mod box is really only for half gram cartridges. I tried a one gram cartridge, and the lid would not close. There is a smaller adapter, and when I tried that, the lid did close. I don’t like to use that kind of adapter, though. It is very light weight, even with a cartridge, because it is made of plastic. It is small and discreet, with a Zippo like design.

It does have a pre-heat option, if you press the button two times, which is nice when using thick distillates. It also has an auto shut off feature if you haven’t used the unit in 20 minutes, and I like that.

Three voltage settings, 3.0v (green), 3.4v (blue) and 3.8v (red). I usually keep mine at 3.0v, though. I like to do microdose, but this is capable of pretty big hits.

As I stated, this is a short term review. I’ve only been using it a few days, but I like it so far. I’ll check back after I’ve had a chance to use it a little while longer.
