@Ohm and Away, if you're on a computer & not a phone, go into Internet Options in Control Panel & under the General Tab of Internet Options scroll down to Browsing History, & then click delete. Then restart your computer. See if that clears up the issue with photoimage. It's a shot in the dark, but worth a try. If you're on a phone I guess you could clear the cache (but I don't which cache to clear ) & then restart your phone.

Well, did you try your Ghost yet? Do tell! :brow:

Tried and still trying. Going to wait a few days before giving a full opinion. This is my first time attempting to use a dry herb vape as my primary/only source so it's as much of a test of that as it is of the device itself. I quit smoking everything several months ago and started making oil for ccell carts. I wanted to try this instead to see if I can save myself the effort, whether it's more economical, and whether it's more enjoyable.

My past experience with dry herb vapes is very limited. A friend had a Volcano but I didn't like the whole bag thing. I also bought a G Pen a few years ago but it was pathetic so I gave it to my dad, and he ended up throwing it away.

I can already see that I'm going to have to pretty much constantly be refilling and reloading this thing just to stay under the same effects I can get from a couple of pulls on my ccell per hour, but I'm going to keep using the Ghost exclusively for the next few days to see whether it's really going to be a practical long term fit for me.

Early physical impressions are good. Nice packaging, simple to use, looks and feels good. The straw comes completely out way too easily but I'm sure I'll get use to it. Getting the crucibles in is easy enough, but I'm only getting 3-4 good draws per crucible. Again, I'll play around with it and try different grinds, materials and heat settings for at least a few days before drawing any conclusions.

@Ohm and Away - thanks for your openness. It helps us help you!

This is my first time attempting to use a dry herb vape as my primary/only source so it's as much of a test of that as it is of the device itself.

You're already on the right track here, but my biggest advise for you is to keep your expectations in check. I've had several conversations over the last year with manufacturers about challenges and roadblocks, and I think you are staring at what I think is one of the biggest ones - inflated expectations.

There are a lot of smokers out there who want to try vaping and the first thing they get is a concentrate pen. Those things are amazing...portable, convenient and effective. After that, they want to get back to flower and try a dry herb vape, and that's when things go south. There's not a dry herb vape on the planet that can keep up with a pen when it comes to size, speed and potency. They can get you just as high, and even higher if you want, but not in one 10 second hit.

That doesn't mean pens are better, just different. I prefer my flowers and their vapes, because I get a more full-bodied experience and I like to take my time vaping. But there's no denying how convenient and effective extract pens are.

Since you're working with the Ghost, I suggest you take advantage of its on-demand nature. Take a couple of hits and then come back to it ten minutes later for more. This way you'll give the vapor a little more time to work its way into your system and dose up. I'm too impatient to do it often, but when I do I'm reminded at how much more efficient it is to take the occasional hit over time instead of all at once in the beginning.

Good luck and let us know how it goes!

Got my Stealth MV1 earlier this week.
Was worried that the device may be overcomplicated or difficult to use, but it's been smooth sailing so far.

Every single hit is insane - lots of vapor, lots of flavor, and it gets you messed up. Consistent too, which is awesome.

I've been using the Santa Cruz Shredder to grind my herb, and packing in loosely in the crucible. Get 2-3 hits on 2 green dots, 2-3 on 3 green dots, 2-3 on 1 red dot before I start getting nothing in my hits. That sound about right to you all or are you able to get more out of a single bowl?

Question about ABV - right now my ABV is black or close to it in the middle of the bowl, but pretty light on the edges of the bowl. Read that the MV1 was supposed to vape pretty evenly. What should I be doing to get a more even ABV?

@TimeBomb0 - that sounds about right to me. Play with your draw speed to see if you can spread that heat around a little more evenly...maybe slow it down a bit. Are you describing the top of the load, or how it looks when you dig into it? The top is usually light, but it's only the very edge. Just below that is usually darker.

There's another high temp hit, maybe two, hidden in there if you want to work a little for it. I usually do as part of my ritual. If I want to push the envelop, I'll dump the crucible out into my palm, mix and crush it up, and load it back up after turning the temp to 2 red dots.

The need to stir is debatable, mainly because we have our own expectations of what's 'done'. Low temp vapers might never stir this vape, while high temp guys like myself will stir every crucible to get the last drop out of it. I expect to have to stir all my convection vapes the way I like to extract, and don't consider it a flaw. It's the nature of the heating style combined with herbs, which aren't great conductors.

Received my stealth black bundle yesterday, charged both batteries overnight and just tried it. It rips!! Just did two crucibles in about a half hr and I am happy. Definitely a learning curve at first with the temperature adjustments but once I figured it out it was smooth sailing. I want to recommend the ghost how to videos for those who have problems turning it on like I did. Helpful and got me on my way. Very solid and weighty, feels good in the hand. I’m going to experiment with grind and packing of the crucible but my first two try’s were great. Will definitely update my findings as I get to know the MV1. Thanks to Nerissa for giving the credit on the stealth deal and the great customer service at Ghost.

Got a new stealth coming in the mail!!! First time vaping dry material. Looking forward to seeing the difference in taste. Read quite a few people claim their consumption reduces versus combustion. Is that everyone's take?

Anyone try a bubble straw attachment? Or have a favorite gadget I should look into?

My consumption went down almost 50% went I switched from smoking to vaping.

I'd go with it as is. It comes with everything you need. I got the wpa just for the hell of it and don't use it since the heat sink cools the vapor so well already.

Without question. It's insane how much you can conserve coming from combustion.

I've got edibles, the MV1, and an Arizer Extreme Q desktop (using ddave mod and small bowl elbow packing) for all of my consumption now and I'm coming from 100% combustion in bongs, pipes and joints.

I would say that my consumption is reduced to about a quarter of what I used to use. No joke. It's insane.

When I want to get really high I eat Phoenix Tears and for $35 cdn I get 600mg's of THC which gets me blasted about 4 or 5 times.

Wow looking forward to even coming close to those numbers. Honestly I can barely wait I'm so excited, lol kid in a candy shop. Personally I think I'll like the crucible system and bought one of those carry cases to go with it.

Hope I'm not gonna kick myself too hard for not laying out the extra cash for the spare battery and fast charger... but this thing was already so expensive.

If you want to take it even further, apparently you can save your vaped weed and make butter or something out of it down the line.

I agree on the crucible system, it's one of my favorite aspects and just ordered a second dispenser to go with my first one.

Did my first cleaning of the heat sink last night and it was a pretty painless process.

Ya I hear you on that. Maybe they'll have a black friday sale or something.

Start kicking! I never use anything but the fast charger. Charging through usb is slow. If you're not a heavy user you'll be fine with just a little foresight, but if you use every day you'll want it. Get your mind prepared to charge it overnight when you get it, with first use coming the next day. The charger and one extra battery completes the package, imo.

And also consider the crucible holder which will also give you 5 additional crucibles to work with. And down the line when the SB mouthpiece becomes available you also might want to consider an extra one.

Congrats! Looking forward to hearing your impressions.

Can I do the initial charge on the fast charger vs overnight usb?

Ghost says yes & many do, but I charged mine 1st time out using the overnight usb charger (takes about 8 hours if I recall correctly) cause from everything I know about batteries the initial charge can be a factor in the longevity of the battery, or at least it's overall health. There are battery threads on FC for you to research.

- Fast charger box is shrink wrapped but not the MV1 box. Normal?

Normal.

Just curious if anyone has put the heat sink in the refrigerator to get an even cooler hit?
Not sure about the rules about posting links to the VC forum, so I won't post the link atm, but there was a thread there with someone having put his whole ghost in the freezer. This was more to try to combat the overheating issue, but it worked and gave some smooth hits apparently.

I had been pursuing answers about using it in the cold as we get really cold temps up in the Yukon and I like to vape outside the arena before hockey.
