Discontinued VapeXhale Cloud EVO

CuckFumbustion

Lo and Behold! The transformative power of Vapor.
The owner of the store is just an asshole. I even had customer service call the store and he pretended like they never carried the product

Now I’m stuck with this useless broken vape.
From what I gathered, he sounds like a real shoddy business type. So VXL couldn't even get the owner to even admit he sold you this vape and help you out. He is out nothing by saying yes and helping you.

Man I feel for you. If it was me, I'd gather as much info with the S/N and the date that I purchased it. Maybe there is some record with your credit/debit card of the purchase as a reference as well. Then approach VXL support with a new ticket and all the current info, and try to get it calibrated.

If they simply won't fix it under any circumstances, mention it here in the forum. There are some people who tinker and know some a few repair places. If your bamboo is intact and heats up somewhat, it sounds like a re calibrate prob. The big question is how much did you pay for this and how much would it cost to set it right. :hmm:

I have bought both of my EVO's used and had one re-calibrated from VXL. But how does a store unit lose calibration? Sounds fishy.

There is a local head shop that won't lower their price for a V-tower, even though EQ is selling for $100 less brand new. I only buy from shops that know their product and offer a warranty. Or at least tell me to register with the company after I make the purchase.

Hi everyone,

So I bought a vape xhale a few days ago from a local store. After getting it home, I found that the heating element does not get hot enough. It can only mildly at best vape herb at the highest temp.

I have emailed customer service and unfortunately they are unwilling to help me since I don’t have a receipt.

Does anyone have any suggestions? I would even pay for it to be fixed.
My first EVO, that I bought in 2014, was vaping how you described and Vapexhale fixed it very promptly although I did order directly from them.

I found this under their warranty info: "purchased directly from XHL or thru a XHL Authorized Retailer"
But if you can figure out a proof of purchase, hopefully they will honor it

A possible issue is that it is the old cloud with parts that are now not fixable. This thread started in Feb 2014 which is probably the start of the new evo before that there were significant issues.

My Evo and Hydratube broke, i am mainly concerned with my evo, just the joint is chipped about halfway, the hydratube still sits on it
I emailed customer service but i dont have a receipt.
I am hoping they can replace the bamboo only for an economical price...
This is horrible

You'll be good. Easily fixed. They'll probably want you to mail it in. Under $100. I think more like $70. They're easy to replace, 10 minutes max, so it should not cost much.

Are there any good options to get a Cloud Evo in Europe? It seems their official shop only offers 110V units and converters break warranty :(.

Vapefiend in the UK is the only option. That's where I got mine. Great guys to deal with

Thank you, great looking shop and I see they even offer a bamboo replacement service if something goes wrong.

Not sure if I should get a Cloud Evo or a Mighty as my next Vape. So far I favour the Evo because of concentrates and the higher temperature settings. Still, it costs me around 80€ more than what I would have to pay for a Mighty so I'll wait and see if some Black Friday deals are incoming next week to make the decision easier :)

If you don’t need portability, then EVO for the win!!

@Baron23 vapor quality compared to GH is good? Portability is nice but when not needed how does it compare

Granted the GH is running tip top :uhh:

Portability is nice but not very important for me. What matters most is ease of use, vapor production, reliability and taste.

The EVO is a beast and will extract with the very, very best of them. Pick your temp for taste, or pick it for huge clouds (more my style).

I run my EVO at about 1:30 on the dial. I do get great taste at first but also big clouds. I'm sure if I dropped my temps to 12:00 that I could stretch the taste out a bit, but I go for effect.

The EVO hits as hard as any other vape I have used. Love mine.

I love mine too, although I use it at 10:30 on the dial. This gives 3 monster hits from 0.1g of herb with excellent flavour.

UPDATE: I CANT BELIEVE THIS. Here is the story.

First: I buy a vape xhale at a local shop and pay cash. Vape does not get hot enough to vape bud. I email them and basically it came down to me not having a receipt and the product being 4 years old. It sat on the shelf for 4 years.

They say all they can do is offer me a refurbished unit for 200. The one I bought came with a hydro tube so I figured I’ll need to buy a new unit anyway, so I buy this refurbished one.

It comes in the mail today and I open it up. It was just the unit, nothing else, for $200. You can tel it’s old and worn. No cord or anything.

So I get my stuff from the one I bought and plug it in, turn it on about half way, no vapor. Then I turn it to about 3 o clock, no vapor. All the way up... no vapor. They SOLD me another faulty unit. The SAME issue I had.

They literally sold me an old unworking, used vape for $200. And no cord, cartridges, anything.

I am absolutely furious.

From what I gathered, he sounds like a real shoddy business type. So VXL couldn't even get the owner to even admit he sold you this vape and help you out. He is out nothing by saying yes and helping you.

Sorry for getting back to you late. Yes the store owner is pretty shady. I’m not sure what I can do at this point. I even showed vape xhale the hydro tube with the bar code still on it...... idk what to do at this point.

Check out my post above. They basically sold me a used unit with the same problem, for $200.

IF ANYONE COULD TEACH ME HOW TO RECALIBRATE THESE THINGS, THAT WOULD BE GREAT.

there is also vaposhop. You also get a 10% discount. They are a FC sponsor, official Vapexhale reseller, support included. You can use the code VAPOBUST2018. That's where I got mine.

#1 Please do not take offense at anything I am about to say. I want to help, and am only going off what I have read here.

Does the EVO light up? The light may be weak (mine is... I miss my good, strong light from my unit that overheated & died.) Plug it in & turn it on in a dark room. It should be red. If you're trying to draw when it's still red you won't get what you are looking for. Does it ever go green?

Have you tried a different power cord? The standard computer cord is the same. Swap the cord. If you have the same problem with multiple units it would seem the problem may not be with the units (it is possible, but not that likely.)

I would consider the problems you are having to be two separate matters. The apparent issue with the refurbished unit is separate from the one you initially purchased. I have usually received great customer service from VXL, but it can take a little time. Be patient.

I think you said at one point you have a friend with one? Take the units over there & see what your friend says. Sometimes a second brain can think of something yours doesn't. (I can be a single minded idiot when frustrated.)

As far as the head shop... I'm assuming the owner has refused to take a return? Does the shop have a Yelp account or anything? Tell the world about the crap this guy pulls. You say you can tell it was an unused unit when you bought it... don't assume because it doesn't look beat up that it's definitely a new unit. Mine is a few years old & still looks new.

Just a quick question ... are you letting the units heat up sufficiently before use? There can be some variance, but generally you want to let it heat up another 5 minutes or so after turning green for best performance; or if you want to get going right away, I would recommend turning it all the way up and turning it on, and letting it turn green, once it does, turn it back down to the 12 to 2 o'clock position, and once it turns green again at that position it should be ready to go.

Don't more than half fill the ELBs with coarsely ground bud for best results.

If after doing this, it still doesn't work for you right, then let me know, and I'll try to follow up for you with the little bit of connections I have :)

The VXL EVO is a great unit, and it would be a shame for you to miss out, not because of VapeXhale but because of a shady retailer ...

UPDATE: Vape xhale has gotten back to me. They are willing to ship me a brand new unit when I return the refurbished one. This is perfect.

To answer your questions: my friend let me borrow his unit since I only vape. It works perfectly and I know how to use it. Usually I’m getting thick clouds at 10 o’clock and anything past 12 can combust.

Both of my units were exactly the same that’s why I’m lumping them together. Both are old units. One “new” and one “refurbished”. I used the same cord on all 3, as well as the cord that came with my “new” one. So the cord is not the issue. Yes it lights up just fine. The stem even gets hot.

When I turn it up to max temp, it doesn’t get hot enough. The vaped bud comes out a very light brown even after many pulls.

I am correct that the evo should be able to combust or near combustion correct? Max temp should definitely produce some pretty dark material, and thick clouds. Hopefully this will be over in a few weeks.

Thank you to everyone for all the help. My health is the reason I vape, and I did not want to go back to smoking.

That's nice of VapeXhale!

As to your question about combustion, most all units I have and had will combust at max temp (6pm), especially when over-packed at all. 2pm on the dial should get dark ABV. 3pm to 6pm is entering combustion territory, but depends on buds, moisture level, pack, etc. I reserve those temps for mixed flower and concentrate or when just trying to create the biggest clouds in the history of the world (I recently over medicated doing this, and I'm a heavy user, so be careful--too high off of vapor is temporary, but, pretty bad discomfort).

10am to 1pm on the dial is where I roll. I start at 2pm, get medicated and the unit warm, then lower to 10am with new bowls to enjoy flavor.
