Ya, thanks a lot for that.
In terms of major competition, yes I have 2 of the same vaporizer that do this exact same thing but are easier to use, even if more expensive(one I at least got on a major sale, would have ordered more if I could have it was a 50% sale) . I mean, I already have 2 of them, just need to mail them in for repairs (already paid for... Last year... I'm slow).
I'll still follow, interested to see how people enjoy it and if they update it. Even the person who recommended me my current portable likes it, but I like the current one I have more, and even his description of it, I don't see what I'm gaining.
Lots of people seem to tolerate it though, I just saw the reviews and didn't think I'd ever want to do that. The extremely popular vape that relies on an audio cue here even turns me off eventually.
I guess I'm just picky, I'd pay any retail price I've seen so far for a vaporizer, as long as it gives me everything I want. Vaporizer is a very important tool now that I understand it. It's the only thing I say, "tell me about the best, do not factor cost into your opinion.".

What about the operation of the device impresses you? Specifically the operation, as everything else works well. When I saw the operation in reviews, I just thought there was no way I'll remember, let alone have a friend use the device without preparing everything for them every time.

What makes using the actual device enjoyable?

Just about everything for me. The crucible system and one button system are great. I have zero complaints for something so simple. Just about anyone can press a button and rip as well. It’s a very simple vape ime. I have to agree with summer for sure on the design. It’s unfortunate brewer had such a bad experience :(

Crucible system doesn't worry me, the way it loads is basically how my current portable loads. It's what makes the flavor good I guess, so that part is pretty non factor to me. It works and it's something I'm used to. Might actually be a slight upgrade to the current system I use.

For me it's more the operation in terms of switching Temps, switching between modes, and hitting. Operating the actual button and getting to the settings I want to be at easily.

It may just be way more easier to do than I realize, and if I can't share it with anyone so be it....

But I just reread reviews again and realized theirs an app.... So I guess I'll just use the app if I have to.

Now that I also see the glass adapter for bongs and water tools, I'm probably going to pick one up.

You can never have enough vaporizers when they rely on electronics. Just in case they break gotta have back ups!

@abcd5432 yeah for real the interface is a little clunky but it is not a burden. 3 seconds - on. Triple click - in vape mode. 2-3 seconds - power indicator. Repeat - in temperature settings. Tap the trigger button. Boom.

Taught my dad and various people pretty quick. The crucibles and such is the challenge for sharing :(

Got to try out my new replacement unit last night. Two things of note:

1. Wow, that mouthpiece now slides up and down like a hot knife through butter and without that teeth-jarring scraping sound.

2. I'm getting amazing levels of vapor at A1. Although I'm not convinced that means much of anything, it is decidedly different from the previous MV1 (which did produce vapor at A1, but NOTHING like this).

After killing two loads last night, the battery still had 3 bars. Next week, I'll take it apart and see what the new cooling unit looks like.

Ya I'm going to try it see how I like it.
The crucible system, works well for me personally, as I don't have a medical condition preventing fine motor skills. I actually like it, I don't see what's wrong, but my other good portable uses a similar system, this is just an improvement on it possibly can't tell til I own the unit for a few months. Hope the black Friday deal is good

One button is great if its designed to operate quickly and simply. (Nevermind that the MV1 is a TWO button device, so I am not sure why anyone is saying it is a one button device. Hitting it is easy. Loading it, setting it, and changing settings is not as easy as many other vapes, so those operations are not "great.")

My experience is that I personally handed my MV1's to MANY people and experienced vape users. Literally zero could remember what the lights, bars, colors, and button pushing sequence meant after being told a couple times. The next time I saw them, they definitely didnt remember. Sometimes you think you've done it right, but wrong, try again... Not a huge deal, but not a "great" selling point.

In fact, just scan this thread to see how many people confuse the red versus amber versus green lghts, how many of them, how many times to push them and/or hold them down, what to call them, and what they mean.

For example, any MV2 needs to do away with requiring that you check the battery level just to change the heat setting. Why? That's nonsense and not a good operational design. Does anyone not want that changed; you want this to stay the same for a MV2? ..... I doubt it....

I would rather have three or four buttons if it meant instantly changing settings.

That's an example of what I mean by an okay to poor operation design. By saying that operation design/sequence is great, when it's not, is not helping Ghost come up with a better, more refined, product....

Yes, Ghost has great customer support, yes they have a design that gives great performance, but in terms of ease of use (especially for groups or new users) and operating an MV1--is not great nor simple nor easy to remember...

Pretty sure "420vapezone.com" agrees with me:

"The MV1 is a connoisseurs vape, offering some of the biggest and tastiest hits if you’re willing to deal with the price and the interface."

https://420vapezone.com/best-on-demand-dry-herb-vapes/

Ghost can definitely make that operation better. Maybe with an App change???? Why not let people pick what the two buttons do and how, like the company making Firefly 2's??

P.S. I complained to Firefly about not being able to manually change heat settings, i.e., without using the app (i wasnt the first nor last). They responded that it wasn't technically possible. Then months later enough people said the same thing and BAM, app change that fixed it.

It’s pretty simple I really don’t see how this vape can be confusing or anything to forget. Took me a day to know what I was doing and what each light meant. I hadn’t had the device in 8 months turned it on and remembered exactly how to use it. I don’t see the big deal in seeing the battery first before the temp. Doesn’t bother me one bit. I am completely happy and sucks that such lil things can ruin someone’s experience. I don’t need to read back on these pages to waste my time. I go off of my own experiences because everyone seems to be different in their wants and needs with vapes. I’m sure people had issues but I haven’t and that’s all that really matters to me tbh. I am just stating my own experience and sucks to see some people that can’t remember some colors or have issues with seeing the battery screen before the temps. The interface is very simple and doesn’t take much time to get through the settings. Just my opinion

I think we're just talking past each other.:peace:

We really have more in common than not as far as my opinion and yours. For example, I think we'll both buy a MV2. Your technique for getting Ghost to make a MV2 is to perhaps be overly complimentary of the unit/company. My technique is to perhaps be overly critical of the MV1, assuming that the company isnt in financial hard times because it is giving away units and giving great (expensive) customer support.

Both techniques work towards the same goal: another product we like from Ghost.

Hi all, new member here. Just ordered an MV1 after a long selection process ended up being cut short by shipping and service issues. I live in Cambodia and the only way of having anything arrive here reliably is DHL. I asked Planet of the Vapes whether they could arrange DHL for me (with the intention of getting a Firefly 2) and their response was off putting.

I found Ghost offers DHL when you buy directly from them on their site, and saw them responding to customers here, and figured I'd just go for it and get the bundle. It arrives on Tuesday and I'm hyped. I'll give some feedback here after it arrives. :)

Are you saying you can't think of a way to improve the interface where it wouldn't take you a day to learn it?
My current vape, I plugged it in, it works, there's nothing to explain, just draw. Takes 10 seconds to explain and learn, not a full day.

Just saying, if that's perfect to you no problem, but if there is a way to improve the product, you should say it. I know some people are sensitive about saying something that can be deemed "negative", but critical advice is key to improving a product
