Arizer Solo II

The vapor is very tasty. I have been smoking the same bowl for about 2 sessions (device turn off) and the bowl still have 3/4 of green and 1/4 of brown.
I'm I doing something wrong? or it the arizer air not so strong?

my question is if I turn off the sound on solo or
or solo2...the next time i open it will it do the (beep) again?

You're not doing anything wrong if you're getting 'tasty' results to your liking. You might try raising the heat some if it's not vaping fast enough for you. Taste will suffer a bit, but the THC is easier to get and the herb darkens faster. It's not weak, really, it can easily exhaust the ABV leaving nothing but BLACK. Hard to expect more?

Have you tried other heat levels? They always start out at the bottom.

The beep is stored. If you turn it off, it stays off until you turn it back on (as you'd expect?). Also stored is the last heat level you used (presumably your favorite). Pressing the right (or up) key on power up should load it for you.

Best wishes, you'll not go wrong from here I think.

Don't tamp it down too much but don't load it in without tamping it otherwise it will more likely fall into the oven. You just barely want to touch it when you load it into a glass stem, and I usually don't load the glass stem more than 2/3rds. Even half full will suffice for one 10 minute session. It's restricted air flow that leads to uneven vapourization usually. You should be able to get everything at about 190 C/375 F following that protocol.

Or 'do it hamster style'. Invert the unit and put it over the stem (let gravity help keep it in place). Then, keeping it still inverted take a hit or two 'upside down' (like a hamster and a water bottle.....). Heat will fuse the load together and it will stay in one piece so you can then turn it 'right side up' to enjoy the session.

thx everybody for help and advice!!!!

For the beep I guess it saved for both solo 1 and solo2? Thx for the info

I think I packed a bowl too tight cause I notice an air resistance. i wont pack to tight next time!

what I don't like from arizer air is that it lost is heat while I puff..... Kinda have to wait 10 Sec every hit.. Do solo 1 and solo 2 have the same power restriction? cause I'm gone buy the bong adaptor and gona hit that vap heavy... I don't want the device to lose power while I do so. and even without the bong i like to take big puff

if solo 2 only has the battery and electric panel in difference i might go with solo1...

and by the way my og Kush taste very floral... it's kind of a new flavor to me! I'm not use to it... can't wait to try a skunky strain :whoa:

Try loading an intact nug. As is. Useful starting place I think. Compare restriction with an empty stem, but don't get carried away with it? Experiment around with it.

"Heat soaks", the pause between hits for more heat to come into the load to replace that lost delivering the last hit and making vapor for the next, are a feature of all vapes in this class at some level. So yes, Solo shares this, but it ends up being part of your technique.

This is not blazing. No fire, no smoke, no heat generated by the incoming air. And, of course no more burning up THC in some ill conceived fire. The important part there is the incoming air and fire part which is what is generating the heat to make vapor. More air, more fire, more heat, more vapor. Simple if not very efficient or thrifty. The harder you hit, the more you get.

Conduction vapes of this type supply the heat instead of the fire heating the load. They heat the load to 'magic temperature' (whatever you may decide that is for you). The vapor for the next hit is generated and basically 'recycles' in the oven until called upon to make us happy. As we hit, that vapor is 'swept' out by cooler incoming air much like fog forms in damp air as it's further cooled. More vapor is generated by the heat energy left in the mass of the load, side walls and oven cup to lesser effect as the temperature drops. It's going to take time for the heat to migrate from the cup back to the load. Heat soak.

If you crowd that, try to pull vapor faster than the vape makes you'll get progressively weaker and weaker output as the temperatures in the load fall off. Work within what's available and you can get astounding results. There are videos of guys 'milking' glass pieces where it really does look like milk slowly filling it up. This class of vapes has the potential to be the champ here. Seriously out preforming (density wise) other classes (like convection) or combustion.

But if you're "gona hit that vap heavy... I don't want the device to lose power while I do so" this is not the sort of vape for you. Go with something corded (you'll need lots of power in 'real time') and convection based.

To be honest, I'm not sure you should buy either Solo until you sort that part out?

OF, funny you mention “hamster style”... About an hour ago I used the Arizer bent stem I just got this week. I for whatever reason, decided it felt nice and natural, unit turned inverted and I just felt like a highly medicated 250lb hamster! I instantly thought how I could get away with a loose pack this way. Just realized it’s 3am! Time for Solo II and MK Uktra to take me to dreamland.

i mean if i cant milk my bong with it i might just use it connect with my water pipe instead!

thx for the info about vaporizer in general!

when you said :

you talk about the solo1 right?

about the left over on the stem does cotton swab work if I remove the plastic part?

I find that the vapor that come from arizer air is very odor free... I mean it taste a lot but smell near noting!!! this is useful for indoor medication.

thx again all... sry for all those question but you guys are very helpfull!

Both. Solo I has on/off, Solo II has on/softer and off. All are stored, like the last used heat level.

No worries at all about the questions! Questions are good to ask and there are probably lots of little things that other readers pick up that they didn't know before. The science behind vaping, dosage and safety is still in the early stages and we're all still learning. I probably learn a new bit of information or technique about once a week and I'm constantly looking up safety guidelines for use and health. We've all come along away from the days of vaping out of a lightbulb or a version 1.0 vaporgenie, but there is still much more to refine.

I never found my Solo 2 to lose heat when in use. I'm drawing in air very slowly and over a long period of time (5-10 secs). The glass stem acts as a heat insulator too, so it takes a bit longer to heat up than the rest of the unit (maybe a minute.) Solo 2's oven has little 'divets' in the airholes inside the oven part and the solo 1 doesn't. This helps a bit with airflow as it lets air tunnel through the sides of the stem easier, but there are special stems for the Solo 1 that have these divets in the glass instead so it becomes a non-issue (i.e. https://www.puffitup.com/Arizer-Air-Solo-Airflow-Stem-p/qtqc.solo-stem_s-clea.htm ). I don't know how much of an effect it has but it probably contributes some small amount.

Just for the record you can turn the beep on and off on the air as well. After turning the unit on hold the up button for a few seconds.

True rumor, although the original question was about Solo? I don't recall off hand if ArGo has a beep, but if it does it's sure to be stored as well?

OF

Edit: Being a curious sort of fellow I dug out my ArGo. Not only does it have a beeper, but it has 3, count them 3 levels (low, med, and high) in addition to blessed silence (off). It seems 'stealth' (ability to mute the beeper) was a design element from the start? Good call there, IMO.

why ?
some folks here on FC seem to prefer the SOLO OG.
thicker vapor was the reason when I remember correctly.
And SOLO OG cant show an error2 :D

but still,
heat up time and battery life is unmatched (by portable session vape standards)

You asked, I answered lol

I don’t beilive the Solo og produces thicker vapor.
They are virtually the same. The Solo 2 has digital temp control. I’m pretty sure error codes have been fixed...haven’t had anyone post about in lately.

So yeah for the same price i’d definitely go with the Solo2

to Solo OG or to Solo2 ... that is the question ...

I could get both at the same price point.

Get both!

Seriously,
I have owned both the 1 and 2 and both are great vapes, but for the same price I prefer the Solo 2. The battery life on the 2 is Amazing, digital temp display and the ability to set the desired heat temp to your liking is also a plus. I feel I get heavier hits with the Solo 2 than with the OG.

Just my :2c:

Peace
