Arizer Solo II

Yeah that’s too involved for me lol
It’s just a hassle IMO and it has to be cleaned often.

I could see it being useful for on the go vaping but if you’re at home you may as well just use a regular bubbler

Your call, of course. Some find getting the funnel and tube together I suppose, not a problem for me personally. And sticking the stem into the tube then sticking it into the tray with the knives and forks is no trouble at all. While I only wash it when it needs it (IMO of course), it could easily be done daily. Even to the point of rotating a pair so you're never caught 'in the wash'.

Perhaps the easiest bit of such gear I have to get really clean.

The stems are modest in size and performance, an not a 'first choice' for most, but they are handy, easy to use, and cheap. A good way to test if the bubbler idea is going to help vaping issues (which is where I think this all got started?). And you can make a single buy from PIU, get it in a couple days and be experimenting away. For those reasons I recommend them for the new/curious folks.

Regards to all.

I don't believe that changing the stem will make difference to 'draw resistance'?
The intake vents being below the stem.
Tell him not to grind very much, leaving the load rather course.
Also do not pack the load, just snug it up just to help it to not fall out,
doesn't matter anyway, but it usually ends up a dry clump.

hello everyone,
I wana buy myself a vaporizator. I find the arise solo 1 and 2 interesting. it will be my first vape ever! I'm so much wanting to have one that I just need to make a choice between solo1 or solo2.

I don't care about the price difference. I know for a fact that solo2 is a more powerful and useful device.
The main reason I haven't bought solo2 yet is I read that there an error 5 or 7 that may occur which make the vaporizator broken.

I'm not afraid about warranty (2 years) I'm afraid if it broke after it.
Is there a lot of people getting those errors and need to ship the Vape back for
warranty?

Do people that recently bought solo2 still get those errors? I heard about more newer one with graved code under it instead of a sticker? and also some device shows % when charging?

I'm not sure yet if I want a more reliable Vape that's not gone broke (solo1 )or a fancy one which I know I will love more if it don't break (solo2)

thx for the help

First off, welcome to the Forum and all the fun. Lots of good folks around here, hope you stick around.

Great choice for a first vape. I'm not sure where you got the idea that Solo II was more powerful or useful, IMO neither is the case. Solo II carries more battery power which means more sessions between charges, the performance wise they're basically the same. Same stems, same heat ranges, same heat up times ('same' oven). Blindfolded it's not possible to tell the difference by what comes out of the stem. Either should serve you well.

The error codes seem to have tapered off if not disappeared. But no doubt about it, that never happened with Solo I, a rock solid unit with years and years of history of reliably delivering vapor. If you want dependability I'd have to say Solo I has it over II, small as that difference might be.

Your call, if it were mine I'd prefer a I at half the cost and buying a BACKUP VAPE with the difference. A guy should have a second vape to fall back on, prevents Murphy from tossing you the dreaded error codes? I suggest you pick something different and fun to use in it's own right. Vapor Genies, for instance. Or a personal favorite, Vapman. Both are powered by torch type lighters (butane) and are very useful/powerful devices capable of outstanding performance with tiny loads in skilled hands. Very satisfactory.

Also worth considering are VapCap (popular, though I had trouble getting consistent results), MFLB or several others with long threads with happy owners (unlike say Grass Hopper with a long thread of the other kind......).

The idea is not to put yourself in a position where random failure, theft or other loss won't force you back to combustion......even 'just for a little while'.

Therefore I think you should be in the market for two, and encourage you to not dismiss Solo I too quickly. It's earned consideration, and might be more reliable overall than the fancier Solo II. It can do everything Solo II can, just not as many times between reloads. Either will likely serve you well, but you (and everyone else) should have a backup handy, both 'for in case' and 'for instead this time'.

And seriously consider someone like Puff It Up with a strong reputation for Customer Service (should it be needed), also a strong supported of these Forums.

And don't let Member @ataxian near your glass, he breaks glass a lot you know......gets fan mail from other glass breakers.

Best wishes.

I bought my solo ll in April of this year and had the error 7 issue in August.
Apparently new firmware in May has solved the issue.
Arizer was excellent in their handling of the mater and promptly sent me a replacement.
Both units had the engraved serial number.
The battery indicator on the first unit had only the battery graphic but the replacement displays the percentage of charge also. I have not used the solo og but am very happy with the ll. I like being able to set a specific temperature and the quality of the build is excellent.

Hello guys, thx for the fast reply!

OF : i heard that solo 2 add better airflow? and it can vape at higher degree. is that true?

im also ( idk if i am allow to said that here) a bong user.i dont really care of loosing the device for an exchange on the warranty for 1 week. Im more afraid that it show error afther the warranty went off.

hans solo : 5 months and broken for a 200$ device.... that weak!
Im glad that you mentioned that firmware as been reworked in may! Also that you add the new version with % charge.

i have talk to arizer tech and they said they keep working to improve there new and old device.
They also told me that solo2 error happen less than 1% of their device.

i think i am going to buy solo2 because if the error is fixe i would preffer solo2.
if the device ever broke, I wonder if they can send back solo1 and vtower witch are almost the coast of solo2.

if you have more info on solo1 and solo2 let me know !

that would be great to have a confirmation of arizer that they fixed the solo2 error..

thx for the help happy vaping guys! cant wait to possese a vaporizer!

No. While old Solos had smaller vents, current production Solo I and II are the same. Solo II has smaller steps (9F for Solo I), both are limited at the top by combustion (428F). I would not have said they're basically the same if that wasn't true. The differences are more sessions per charge, a bit more compact case (oval rather than round) and fancy display. Blindfolded you can't tell the difference, and that would include 'better airflow' (not really as useful as you might think, easier to hit but less dense vapor that way if you're going slower). Vapes are not like blazing, skills learned there don't usually transfer over.

You seem to have made up your mind already, you have my advice, Solo II should do you just fine. Please don't ignore the 'get a backup' advice?

I have a SOLO because I don’t like batteries weighting My pockets down!

Just chiming in to say that my Solo 2 hasn't failed me yet either and it's been well over a year that I have owned it. It's still my go-to vape for most situations and I highly recommend it as a beginner vapourizer for someone. It's beauty is in its simplicity and super easy maintenance. The vapour quality is very good still too. I'll probably pick up a back-up Solo 2 at some point next year. Either that or that ArGo thing.

I found the air flow much better in 2. Unless you use the extra air hole stems. No comparison IMHO. Much thicker results as well.

Me too [a year later].
Man, get it. These things work.
And you'll dig mopping up the reclaim sap [w/ a wad of cotton, etc.] and popping that back in the bowl!

can someone explain? you can smoke the resin that form on the stem? is that what you say? you smoke the coton to lol?

I was wondering too if the ariser can be used with concentrate(hash, oil, keif, shatter)? I think it doesn't unless you put it between some herb? could it damage the device??

I think this week end I'm paying myself a Christmas gift in advance :brow:
i just have to make my decision about solo1 or2

Not smoke, VAPORIZE. We don't smoke around here, note the name of the Forum?

Yes, the condensate (which some call 'reclaim') is condensed vapor, right? Heat it up again, and it'll evaporate same as with herb or concentrates.

Yes, include the cotton. It won't combust at vaping temperatures, in fact things like the Flower Mate 'concentrate pods' use cotton inside.

Don't up concentrates directly in the stem unless you want them to melt down into your vape and cause harm. Instead wrap it in enough cotton, ABV or herb to 'soak up' the concentrate so it doesn't drip. When the lot gets hot enough (say 400F) vapor forms normally.

What air flow or wooden stem would you suggest to mod the Solo II? I gifted mine to a friend and he finds the draw resistance to be a bit much.

I sent him links for these three:

I dont own tha solo 2 but I do own tha air 2 and bought that 3D flow stem a few months ago and luv it nice cool vape mine doesn't sit perfectly flat but it hasn't hurt anything draw resistance is about tha same as my stock stem ...

hello guys ! happy week end to all,

haven't decided which one I want yet! It's harder for me since ppl says error of solo2 may have been fixed! A friend of mine lent me is arizer air so I can try it out on the weekend.
The vapor is very tasty. I have been smoking the same bowl for about 2 sessions (device turn off) and the bowl still have 3/4 of green and 1/4 of brown.
I'm I doing something wrong? or it the arizer air not so strong?

I have another question to... the air does a (beep) sound when turning on and off which I hate. I know the solo and solo2 have the same sound. my question is if I turn off the sound on solo or
or solo2...the next time i open it will it do the (beep) again?

I will purchase my solo at the end of the weekend if I can find which one I want. (solo or solo2)
