Best portable way to go with wax

Hey everyone!

Is there a thread to teach me about this?

Are there any portables to avoid?

many people on here will recommend the taf sai..which is short for top air flow saionara.its basocally an atomizer than goes on a box mod and you have wattage and temp control and the most popular way is the titanium bucket which is the coil where you load your concentrate..very good unit but i like big high temp hits..i wanna get high..i use a dual quarts yocan evolve plus. the coila end up losing flavor etc but are cheap to replace and i like the way this hits but if you have a more liquid like distillate then i woild use ccell cartridges..or vfire pods..there are a million options and its all down to what you want in a device.

I've been thinking heavily lately about getting something small and portable for concentrates (wax, rosin, crystalized isolates, etc...).

Given the reputation, I have been leaning toward a Sai. It, with the commonly paired Pico mod, seems to be a reasonable and not too expensive option. But I don't feel like I've had the time to really learn and assess all the available options.

Im looking at either the Sai or one if Divine Tribes offerings.

In the meantime iv been dropping a little blob on top of some flower in my logs wpa. It seems to be doing the trick! Just unsure if i am doing my concentrates a disservice by not vaping them "properly".

Check out the Advanced Vape Supply Molecule. A lot of people on Reddit are liking them. Fits great on a compact box mod like an Evic Basic.
With this stuff, I feel like such a noob. I really don’t know what I’m looking at.

Does anyone know if a great instructional video that can teach me?

how come there isnt a molecule thread yet?

I was thinking the same thing. I went to start one yesterday, but it says that I have "insufficient privileges" to post in those forums.
I'm guessing that you have to be the manufacturer, or something like that, to post there? I skimmed the rules page for it, but didn't see a rule like that, so I dunno.

I would also appreciate a video suggestion. I have a kandypen prism plus that works well, I want to explore concentrates further but I’m not interested in anything that involves using a blowtorch :)

I'm using the CeraWax 510 attachment with great success. No exposed coil to contaminate and spoil, just a ceramic dish. But without silly bottom holes for the stuff to leak into like in the DivineTribe range.

Only downside is that you can clog the air intakes if you load too much at a time and tilt the device at a large angle during use. But you can change atomizer heads whenever they are too old (or you may even try to gently torch them) A pack of 5 doesn't cost much.

Apart from that it's great. I wouldn't use any device that involves putting concentrates directly on a hot metal coil.

I have one on order and can't wait to try it. They are releasing a quartz dish as well that allegedly gets as high as 600 degrees in about 3 seconds. That's the nice thing about using beefy stainless steel coils to heat the bucket rather than a ceramic donut is the fast heat up time.

Someone made it a little while ago:

I've usually been against them as well. Mostly because they are a pain in the ass to clean. I'm giving the Molecule a whirl because the flattened stainless steel coils are basically flush with the quartz dish, minimizing waste. AVS is pretty famous in the vape community for using medical grade materials. Nice to see them moving into the cannabis space. Their quartz dish insert will hopefully work out as well.

That molecule really is tiny!

Problem is i only have massive mods! Dont want to buy yet another one

LOL it is quite tiny. It still works on larger mods, it'll just look a little different. I mean I use ccell carts on box mods quite often.

My standard recommendation is the Top Air Flow Saionara. With the Titanium bucket you get a nice clean hit every time. It's super easy to keep clean as well.

I'm going to be going with a Honey Dabber 2 (along with a Honey Hose, though I may not use this on regular outings) myself for my travel kit.

Forgot to add above- I am also going to get the Mininail, which is palm sized, and one review mentions it can be used with a car charger- Though this will be home or long stay travel use for me.

So I cleaned my kandypen prism plus today for the first time and found black paint flaking off the underside of the mouthpiece. It just completely grossed me out, I have no interest in using this device ever again. If I wanted to be huffing paint, I would be.

I’ve actually been contemplating purchasing a Kandypen myself...that’s really worrisome about the paint though! I was looking into the Amber Rose because it can handle wax and oil. And because it’s pretty haha. I thought I’d check to see what other concentrate portable vapes have been discussed here.

Any suggestions for wax and oil?

After looking around these boards and reddit for a while, I decided to go with the saionara top airflow atomizer with titanium bucket (aka the ti skillet). It looks safe, durable, and doesn’t involve a blowtorch! There’s an excellent discussion of a good beginner set up on Reddit at

https://www.reddup.co/r/waxpen

Go to the side bar and there’s a permanent post there about the Sai TAF. This is what they have listed as of today:

Optional

It certainly is not pretty, but it’s also not too scary looking to me either. And I am a 40-year-old suburban stay at home mom, for whatever stereotypes that’s worth

I feel like a caveman since I'm using a thermovape dart. All these new terms and devices. The last time I looked at pens I picked up the vapor brothers Dabbler. Guess the pens have improved since the dabbler?

Ended up boxing the switch up today. So might be back in the market for another wax device. My question for a light wax user is it worth upgrading from the dart or dabbler?

I like using the dart more since it conserve better than dabbler. I run the dart off of a dna40 at 10 watts so thermovape batteries sourcing isn't a issue.
