The Lotus Vaporizer

Vapeur Rogue

Est. 2013- Never Lookin' Back
Hi Thanks for the reply and info I'll go with the high temp kit , excited to try not sure how I've missed this !!

I hope you will enjoy yours! The High temp cap was not an option when I first got mine, and I left active collecting for a while due to financial need- hence why it took a bit to get mine. In my opinion, some of the threads here at FC are quieter, simply due to the fact that things are working as they should! Be that vape or customer service! Between 2013 and August of this year, the Lotus was one of only 3 vapes I had going.

Thanks, how do you feel the vapour quality and taste compare to others ?

Quality is what you make of it/opinion, technique. I can go wispy and I can milk it (I have yet to try it in glass) and it was most flavorful of my first 3 vaporizers.

The closest thing to what I have, to what you list in your post is a Milaana 2, haven't played with a great degree yet, but I suspect the greatest difference be a thickness invaport, possibly heat difference too. From what I understand from other people's input, And referencing my Firewood vapes. That said, a lot of people have gotten really good results using J hooks and glass with Lotus, at least historically- I remember quite a few pages discussing this earlier in this thread, but by earlier, I mean it may be a few years back!

Thanks , yea I like the milaana has been my dd for a while now. Like the look of the fw5 but no supplier in the UK and was just concerned with returns etc if anything were to go wrong however the lotus is available at vapefiend in the UK and like you say still seems popular after all this time

Fair- I am in the States- so that is a consideration- but for what it's worth, of the 3- I have been *least* happy with Customer Service from RBT, and Marc is amazing concerning the same.

Yea I have seen very good feedback saying the same , I guess maybe it's the shipping (if required) back and forth that is the only thing putting me off , wrong thread I know but love the look of the fw5 and multiple bowls and the feedback regarding performance has also been good ! Maybe I will have to save for both !

Sounds like a plan!
*The only time I sent back my FW2 was to trade in for my FW5. There were a couple of issues regarding the model in general that were addressed efficiently.

Has anyone tried the new Vaporscope Stem yet? I should have mine in a few days and I'll put up a review. Looks like it will be fun to use, sort of a super J-hook. I'm looking forward to trying it with my GrassHopper as well. I really enjoy watching coils of vapor in glass!

Just picked up my lotus this morning, excited to try it out. Checked out the vaporscope stem online looks like a decent piece of kit , look fwd to your review

Its a great vape! I need a new torch so I can use it again, kinda miss it.

I feel you- only reason I'm not using mine at the moment is I need to find a silent torch due to other health conditions in my household now.

I think the new stem only came out a few days ago- but I'm going to be getting one!

Just used my lotus for the first time !! Only a few years behind. Currently have a milaana , davinci iq, and an m. I have also had many other vapes. Really liked this , no real learning curve , good flavour and hits as heavy and quickly as anything I've used . Ideal for sitting indoors and hitting on demand

The Lotus Vaporscope Stem is a new piece and a fine addition to anyone's glass collection. It's well-designed, nicely crafted, and feels comfortable in the hand. I've always liked vaping with glass, and while bongs and bubblers are really fun, sometimes I want something simpler and more direct — basically just a longer vapor path to cool the product while allowing the user to see the action.

The Vaporscope has a spoon type mouthpiece rather than a bugle end and draws nicely. The tubing dimensions are perfectly adapted for the rate of inhalation. What am I talking about? Well, along with the Lotus and GrassHopper, I also do a lot of vaping on the NewVape FlowerPot — which is a pretty awesome plug-in unit. But while the vapor production on the FlowerPot is unrivaled, I find that I miss the resistance I find in the Lotus and GH and am always experimenting with waterpipe accessories, looking to get that particular rate of inhalation which I like. The Vaporscope allows me to take long sips rather than quick gulps and matches the rate of vapor production perfectly for the Lotus and the GH.

Cleaning the unit is pretty easy if you rinse it out with 99% iso. I recommend cleaning it frequently so that deposits don't build up. If it does get gunked up a long soak in PBW or Alconox will work but take care not to let it slip from your hands; the long neck is just the sort of thing to catch on the edge of your sink or something. Apply reasonable caution and you'll be fine.

Should you buy one? Well, here's the thing. As much as I like the Vaporscope — and I really do — I don't think it's all that much superior to a regular glass j-hook for a quarter the price. The budget-conscious might want to hold off. But it's not over-priced for what it is and if you're really a glass fan you won't regret adding it to your collection. It sits flat on a table and you can even leave a bit of water in the bottom of the chamber for minor humidification. All in all, I give it a high rating. Fun to use, good-looking, and damned effective!

A fellow FC member (you know who you are, Mephistopheles!) tricked me into buying a Lotus yesterday night by transferring his VAS to me. He was speaking so enthusiastic about the Lotus and that he was planning to buy one, so that I took a look at it again and could simply not resist placing my order over at Vapefiend.co.uk. Black, hi-temp cap with additional j-hook and water tool adapter.

I never got along too well with the Sticky Brick family because I never stopped tasting the butane, no matter how much I spent on premium gas. The Vapcap and Vapman are really nice, but I wanted some more convection like with the Sticky Bricks. The Lotus should be able to fill that gap easily. I am excited and already see myself in front of the chimney fire this winter, vaping Sherlock Homes style, with my J-Hook and the Lotus. Very Civilized. :)

Hi dynavaper got my lotus from vapefiend a couple of weeks ago and also owned a sticky brick Jr so know what you are talking about. Flavour from the lotus is really clean and I'm loving it. Most of the reviews Ive watched said to pre heat for around 4 seconds but I think that was pre the high temp cap. Worth experimenting but I've been pre heating for around 10 secs before drawing and having great results. Enjoy

The Lotus will, according to the UPS tracking, arrive here tomorrow. :)
I own so many vaporizers, but for some reason, I was never bursting that much with anticipation. I am really very much looking forward to it. A bit like a child the day before Christmas. I am baffeled that it took me so long to pull the trigger on the Lotus. It theoretically checks so many boxes on my list when it comes to vape pereferences. Aesthetics, on demand, convection, butane driven, pipe-like experience, great with a water tool, big clouds if I want and obviously excellent taste. Maybe I had to buy all those other vapes to finally reach the right destination?

As said, I cannot wait... One night to go. I will report about my experience as soon as it arrives!

Dear Ladies, Gentlemen & Undefined - the eagle has landed!

Short version:
I am in heaven. If you do not own a Lotus yet, get a Lotus. Now.

Longer version:
It's all here. The J-Hook, the black aluminum stem, the Hi-Temp Cap, the WPA, the big jet lighter.
Smooth and fast shipment by Vapefiend.co.uk. Great build quality, everything feels nice & sturdy.

I half packed my first bowl with the aluminum stem and started with a pre-heat of 3 seconds with a following slow draw of around 8 seconds. Very, very tasty - but whispy - cloud. Liked it, but honestly expected a bit more vapor. But I used a small jet lighter that was randomly laying around here and not the one that came with the Lotus. Instantly felt nicely lit and couldn't wait to give it another try.

Next round with the included lighter and - BOY! What a nice thick cloud of tasty vapor! The flame with that lighter was bigger than the one I tried before. I was absolutely sure by the looks that I must had combusted. But no - nice and evenly light-brown ABV. No charring. Yummy.

Then I tried the WPA with a water tool (dry) and later on with the J-Hook. Wonderful experience. I especially liked the J-Hook round. I am so incredibly high right now. The Lotus obviously can take you quite far with moderate amounts of material and for me, as a Sticky Brick, Vapman, Vapcap & Vaponic owner, there was no learning curve. It worked well each and every time, right from the beginning.

So - I am not only high as f*ck right now, I am also utterly bewildered that I did not buy this device way earlier. I am deeply impressed. Thanks to @Max Jitter! What a wonderful invention. And thanks to Mephistopheles - you still know who you are - for transferring your VAS over to me. It was worth it.

Another round, fun ahead! Love at first sight, that seldom happens to me. :)

Welcome aboard. Coming from using restrictive draw portables like the Solo helps with the initial learning curve immensely. Had a similar experience a few years back and haven't purchased a non-Lotus vaporizer since, although I have used/lost/given away a quiver of Lotii setups. This vape has been around in a simple, totally bomber, easy to use and effective form for years and once you get the lighter situation dialed in it just works. Every now and again I fire up the Solo for old times sake or think that maybe an e-Nano would be nice but it never lasts. Give me a supply of good lighters and a few replacement hot plates and I'm good for years.
