Yocan Cerum

The little mod which comes with the Dabstorm 2.0 is fantastic to drive the Cerum!

Any good deal somewhere for Black friday? I want to make an attys stock (donut and QDC)!
Thanks for the tip, I'm watching that Dabstorm thread close, seems it's pretty mixed reviews. But if the Cerum work well with it maybe I should reconsider since some mods cost same as that package deal.

Is this thing safe? Just wondering if there's any glue or anything that could he harmful? I was also wondering how the donut performance is because that is what I'd be buying it for.

yea got a strange taste as well and then I found out it's the same smell like the package material has. So nothing what made me freak out and it disappeared fast..

however this is my first atomzier/ecig and I'm a little bit lost which coil I have to select on my Tesla 40W Stealth or can I select the resistance without using a pre-set coil (SS TI NI etc) atm using the dual coil but I gonna get donuts soon.

edit: normal mode works perfectly. I like this thing so far

I dropped my Cerum on a ceramic tile floor and the mouthpiece smashed. Anyone replaced their mouthpiece with a new one (ceramic, glass or otherwise)?

The base and coils are all fine, seems a shame to retire it because of a busted mouthpiece.

Hi all,
anyone using this with hash like Moroccan one ? Thanks
I do bubble hash, which is harder than Moroccan, but I tend to just use an el cheapo from the corner headshop for hash, and reserve my Cerum for butter and wax. So the short answer is yes, but I think the harder stuff will shorten the life of the coils a bit b/c of scientific gunkiness principals. Probably not by much and I'm just coveting my Cerum, so the short answer remains "Yes!".

Anything worth doing, is worth overdoing.
Sorry to bring up an old thread but I just tried out one of these for the first time. I am new at this type of vaping so I can use a few pointers.

I have the dual quartz coil on an iStick 30W 2200mah mod which I set to 18w. I have not adjusted the voltage.

The amount of CO2 oil I need is minuscule. The oil is the consistency of thick tar.

I guess my questions are:

Does my set-up sound ok?

Also, my CO2 distillate is in those little round jars. I scoop up a small ribbon on my dabber and smear it on the coils. I end up losing a bunch of oil that won't come off the dabber. Is there a more efficient way of transferring my oil from jar to coils?

much obliged for any thoughts my friends

I think the donut coil for the cerum is much better
also try putting the concentrate in the refrigerator for a minute the cold will make it thicker and easier to handle.
I have the stick 30w but I like my joeyetech primo mini much better but either will do fine:rockon:

You can cool it a bit to thicken it if necessary , and make a ball .. then use the small end of a tooth pick to apply it to the bottom of your barrel (I like the doughnut coil better).
When the oil gets heated it splashes to the walls , this is where the doughnut coil is better to vaping it off then the duel coils do.

Also , remember not to vape the cool or frozen oil , it pops/fractures and I think it is wasteful.
I set mine to 14.5w feels comfortable for me , but when I turn on a newbie to dab I set it to 16.5 .. that way they will understand the comparison of dab to flower smoking.
Then I let them know 14.5 is good for me .. lol

Just my 2 cents
Hope this helps.

P.S. it is my personal fav of the rigs I have tried.

Hey folks, sorry to bring back an older thread, but I've been racking my brain since yesterday morning. I've don the best job I can searching this forum, reddit, google....so that's why I'm bugging you knowledgable folks.

I went out and picked up the Cerum and a ceramic donut coil that I'm using with an iStick Pico.

Been using it in Wattage mode because I can't seem to figure out proper TC settings.

I'm not sure which material to use. I know ceramic is non-conducting, but the heating element inside is. So do I choose Ni, Ti, SS? or go with TCR but at what value?

This electricity stuff is like magic to me. The Cerum is rated for 15 to 35 watts. Personally, I usually use around 13 w (13.8 at moment) because too dense of hits make me crazy-cough. Cough so bad so hard I get stomach/lower abdomen muscle cramps.

Anyway, you might find your answer HERE which is a Reddit conversation I found.

@macbill Thanks bud. My wife and I aren't big into coughing like crazy either, which is why we've been using a Volcano to vape our buds for years, but we've been intrigued with these concentrates lately (less mess, less fuss).

We have been using 14 - 14.5 watts on our iStick Pico and Cerum with donut. It's been pretty good. But my wife isn't as versed in using vaping devices like box mods as I am (been vaping for about 7 years now), so I'm concerned that she'll hold the fire button for too long and cook/scorch the wax.

I'm trying to teach her to pulse the fire button while we're using Wattage mode, but she either feathers it too much and doesn't even get a hit, or she fires that bugger hard and blows a cloud without holding it in cause it's too harsh for her....

I visited the link you gave (thank you) but the info there isn't any different than the info I've gotten elsewhere, it's talking about a different brand donut and I don't know if Yocan uses the same internal heating wire as the brand they're discussing.

Think I might just re-post my initial question in the devine tribe atty thread.

Thanks again for the help =)

I can better judge hits if I can see what I'm hitting. Just about time the glass fills up, I stop hitting the button. Here's photo of a Yocan Torch I use.

@macbill oh wow! haha, just like a bong, but a vape bong! Ya I can see how that would help (pun intended).

Well I guess I'll keep fiddling around with it and asking questions where I can.

Honestly I've beat the shit out of this atty and I love it to death, I've been using the ceramic donuts anywhere between 10w-25w but mostly at 13watts for low temp hits and 18watts for higher temp stuf, a nice medium at 15watts.

Just to clear up any confusion this atty DOES NOT SUPPORT TEMP CONTROL
it only works in wattage mode.

Also, the top cap on the coils is unnecessary imo, and makes loading it much easier, you can use a silicone band to adjust the airflow.

TCR#333 @18watts temp 390-420 MyEvic hold button 20 second hits no pulsing
Can also Run thru pinnacle water tool for cool long hits at 420- 440
You can also use Yocan Evolve + or Nyx coils in cerum base.
