My Peak Mods:

Adapt Tech Sapphire Insert
Eternal Quartz Sapphire Beads x2
Eternal Quartz Marble Cap V2
KXB Glass Attachment

Love the difference.

My Insert can go dry on Red btw, no residual to mop up.

What would be the reason that there is no residual to mop up?? Combination of the beads and sapphire insert possibly?

So would it be fair to say that the sapphire insert and sic insert both need mutiple heat ups for vaporization?

If they do take multiple heat ups that's a major oversight on this device that basically cripples all of the aftermarket parts to me.

Although the thermal conductivity of sapphire is pretty close to ceramic so maybe the sapphire insert is not so far off. If I bought a Peak I would want an opaque quartz, SiC, or sapphire insert for sure so I'm also curious about these heat up times. I know Adapt Tech is on their second version of Peak insert which they claim uses thinner walls to heat up on one cycle.

I have been looking into this one for distillate and concentrates. Anyone had one for a while that can give me some insight to their experience with it?

I’m close to your setup now! I just ordered a ruby insert from constant gems, I have 3 ruby beads from eternal on the way, and I have a crystal star bubble cap. I’m just waiting to order a custom attachment now!

Jump on the Fadespace Silicon Carbide, initial review......Huge Clouds.
Better than the sapphire? I may cancel my order with constant gems and get this then, as it’s a decent bit cheaper. I just don’t want to only use my opaque quartz insert and Chaz it up.

Is it still one heat up on blue?

I am getting huge clouds on blue. Very impressed, there is a Coupon too. Yes, thats what I would do. I have been very impressed with Fadespace performance to date, their Quartz insert is awesome too.

The flavor on the sapphire is impossible to beat so far though.

What’s the coupon code if you don’t mind me asking?

I get consistant clouds on green with multiple atomizers. I just got one of the newer atomizers with the notches in the top and i feel like it actually runs a little hotter than my previous atomizer... Ive only gone through 2 atomizers since i got my peak in march though.

Also just a heads up let the atomizer air dry do not rinse with water
Thanks for the heads up, definitely won't let any water near my atomizer!

Constant Gems - $140-180 Ruby/Sapphire - Made in China

Adapt Tech - $200 Sapphire -
Made in Russia

Fadespace - $100 Silicon Carbide - made in US

Any more websites for a solid insert?

I can't help but shake my head at anyone who would spend half the cost of the Peak itself on an insert made in China.

I've had the opportunity to try out a Fadespace and an EQ insert, and neither seemed noticeably better to me than the stock ceramic cup.

What's made the biggest improvement to me so far has been using a better bubble cap (I got one from spacewalk).

I also haven't had an opportunity to try anything other than stock glass so far. $200+ to mod this mechanically basic and soon-to-be-obsolete device just isn't reasonable. Also, one of my favorite things about the Peak is the carrying case, which won't fit anything other than stock glass :\

I have a Fadespace sic insert. I do not use it because I don’t get clouds without multiple heat ups on red. I have tried multiple atomizers. I see people saying they get big clouds on blue. With 1 heat up? Wtf am I doing wrong? Standard ceramic and opaque quartz always give me big clouds on blue or green.

If you got an early one it's possible they've changed the design a bit?

Design of what? The base or atomizer? I’ve tried 4 atomizers.

Yes. Crystal Star Quartz - fully opaque quartz insert. Best I’ve tried so far among it, ceramic and sic insert. Huge clouds on blue with 1 heat up.
