I really like the simple interface, vapes like the Switch and Ghost turn me off because of their interface.
I managed to get 9 clicks in the 2-second window and the unit stayed on:tup:
But yeah, 3 is plenty:haw:

Umm...no he said he tested it on his friends and that it turns on with 3 or 4 or 5 clicks...

Please understand what was written....

Did you actually go read the link I posted? I don't think you did.......

He said:
"Can you folks test your F2units with 4 or 5 clicks please?

Troy tested it in his review and stated "4 or above" does nothing."

You asked 'why is everyone talking about this?' I believe his request for folks to test and report is why. He even said 'please', a real rarity around here......... IMO a valid question, properly answered by several helpful Members.

FWIW I actually think I did/do understand, but thanks for the advice anyway. Can you please point to the part I don't understand? TIA

my theory:
some Fury2 units only react to 3clicks. no more and no less.
like the one @C No Ego has.

HR wrote back to me and told me just was @OF is telling: minimum three clicks.
everything above three is "just empty clicks"

My ecig e.g. is pretty simple (KISS) as well.
It has the same 3clicker ON/OFF "mechanism".
But 4 clicks will do nothing. It's three clicks only.
I thought a fury2 would behave the same.
Not so important nevertheless.

the main thing about a Fury2 is the size, the speed, the extraction and save materials,... oh yes, and the awesome HR customer service.

I'm not so sure there are two versions of the software drifting around, why would they change just that?? Why wouldn't CS mention that detail to you in case you had one of the other type? CS half as sharp as they seem to be sure would, the last thing they need is giving out false/misleading advice?

Here's a fun observation for your early morning pleasure. Try a huge number of clicks, say 20. I see it 'lighting up' on 3 but is only turns on the screen (and we assume continues counting?). If I do this, when I stop, it cycles off never having completely 'booted up'. It seems it's loading a buffer that now has '3 or more clicks' after it thinks it turned on, so it shuts off?

Anyone else have a F2 that responds normally to 3 clicks (and starts up) but ignores 4 (stays dark)? TIA

I agree with MK's list and suggest adding ease of operation and dosing capsules, both of which @Vitolo reports are critically important to a small but very important segment of users that don't normally get considered here?

And did you read the links I posted
The one I posted was from same person and prior to one you did

Yup I get the points made raised and technicalities - I do not understand peoples confusion on such a simple topic - esp if they have one to play with in their hands....

Exactly so. The LATER post would seem to have priority? His opinion was evolving? And it was one link, not 'links'?

I think for the most part he was the only one confused at first, and he didn't have one to try it on? It was his friend's unit he had used in the past...... He was confused by a REVIEW he'd read I think. And he 'went the extra mile' and contacted HR and reported back to us. Again, I believe he was confused because of a review and didn't have one to test it on. And IMO he did an excellent job of resolving and confirming the issue.

Yes, I did read your post, complete with links but fail to understand how you could read his request for folks to please test and report as confusion on the part of Members trying to help sort it out.

Regards to all.

Hi All, We wanted to clear up this small confusion about the 3 clicks on/off subject you have been discussing. You are all correct. Over a year ago, in our very first FURY 2 production run, the units required 3 clicks to turn on/off the unit. If you clicked more than 3 times rapidly - the unit would not turn on/off. In Troy's review - he was using a FURY 2 from our first production run and mentioned that if you click more than 3 times, the unit would not turn on/off. In our subsequent production runs - we changed the PC Board to accept 3 or more clicks to turn on/off. Therefore, only a very few of you who have first-run FURY 2 units will notice that it takes 3 clicks to turn on/off the unit - no more or less. Over 95% of you will have FURY 2 units that will accept 3 or more clicks to turn on/off the unit.

This reminds us of this old Tootsie pop commercial - for your enjoyment :)

To those who use steel screens at the bottom of their F2 chamber, what diameter do you use? I currently use 3/8 screens from another vape which are too small to stay put, but they still cover the holes. Barely.
I want a screen thats ever so slightly bigger than the chamber diameter so that it lays flat on the chamber floor and stays put, but that i can still fish out of there with a toothpick. Would that be a 1/2, a 5/8, or would this require trimming a bigger screen down to a custom diameter?

For a time healthy Rips was giving away complementary screens that fit in the bottom of the bowl. Don't know the exact measurements but I'm sure you can find out from @HealthyRips.com

It's actually pretty easy to custom size them. Start out with what's handy (I usually use 5/8 or 3/4) and with a stout pair of scissors snip 'up the line' between two wires at say 2 and 4 o'clock. Cut through the 'cross wires' one at a time by keeping the screen in tight to the blades so they cut one wire at a time.

Then, using the ID as a gauge, snip up the opposite side leaving a strip with round ends. Then cut the strip square. Then snip of the corners to make it 8 sided, with is usually enough to get a solid 'press fit'. If not trim the 8 corners. An easy way to fish them out is with a hook bent in a safety pin.

Regards to all.

Portable Hoarder
I have now owned my Fury 2 for a full year, so thought it was a good time to give an updated review.
Very apropos on the cusp of the Fierce launch (will hopefully have in my hands Monday or Tuesday)

Here is how I have been using (and abusing) my F2 for the past 52 weeks.
I estimate that I use my F2 between 5-20 times a week. Usually on the higher end of that number. (I rotate my vapes quite a bit!)
Battery:
- I almost always wait until it dies before charging.
- When I charge, it is usually overnight. (I don’t monitor when charging - I unplug when I remember.
- I rarely use it more than 2 back-to-back sessions when still hot. I usually wait for it to cool down a bit before plugging it in to charge, but not always.
One year later: I get 7-8 full 4 minute sessions per charge.

Maintenance:
- I have done a “deep cleaning” on the mouthpiece 3 times in the year I've had it. It never really needed it, but was refreshing to see through the sparkling clean glass.
- when using the mouthpiece, I brush off the screen after most sessions. Sometimes I wait until the next time I use before brushing, but it is very necessary, as it can get clogged without a regular quick brush.
- I wipe the MP screen with ISO about once a month.
- I have cleaned the glass stems a couple of times, but really not necessary for anything but aesthetics. The avb falls right out of the stems without need anything more than a tap.
- I brush out the oven after most loads. Sometimes I just blow out the particles and leave it at that.
- when the oven is still warm, I have occasionally used an ISO dipped Q-tip to clean the oven screen. There is a little discoloration on one edge, otherwise, it is shiny and clean.
One year later: maintenance is minimal and one of the easiest I own.

Cons:
the only two negatives I have with the F2, I have has since day one.
- the flavor is good. Not great. Not terrible. Just good.
- the noise thru the air holes bugs me. It is louder than I’d like.
- sorry, just remembered another negative. Even with the cover, it can smell a bit in small spaces if you have a used bowl. For me this is only an occasional nuisance, for others it may be more important.

Bottom line:
- This is the most efficient session vape I own. You can vape as little as you want, or fill up the oven, use at once or come back later. It doesn’t cook herb as quickly as other session vapes. It is as efficient today as the day I first got it.
- This is the easiest vape to share with others - no technique required. Small, intuitive, easy for newbies and smokers. Heats up fast (enough), always get good hits, always feel the effects.
- If I had to choose only ONE vape as my desert island vape (assuming the desert island had power to charge it) it makes me queasy (how could I possibly choose one over my other babies?) but if you held a gun to my head.... I would pick the Fury 2.

A year in and I still HiGHLY recommend this vape to anyone who want an easy-to-use, easy-to-maintain, easy-to-share vape at an easy-to-pay price.

I've only owned my F2 for several months but long enough to thoroughly test it and I would agree with everything Jill NYC said. I would add one more negative; it's nearly impossible to see the display in the daytime. A small complaint but one I wish could be remedied. And if we're nit picking, the 4 minute sash time is closer to 3:30 when you account for heat up time...

I feel like the F2 flavor is the same as what you get from the Vapcap.. Pack a big enough load and cruise low temps and the flavor is excellent. But go straight to medium/high temps and the flavor is so-so.

I have a boundless cf. With low temps and a crafty glass mouthpiece, i like the flavor. But the cf is the only vape i know. Would a F2 be a real upgrade ? I dont mind the draw resistace from the cf, im used to it. What do you guys think? Is it worth to buy a new vape or are the improvements minor (cf vs f2)?

I have both the CF and the F2.
If I had only one vape, looking back at my history of purchases I'd advice you to get off as quick as you can from the quest for the "best portable vape"(which now is the Fury2 imho), and get a desktop unit. With the same money you get lots of feature you will never have on a portable.
F2 is really great, but the major improvement over session portables, is the fact it takes so little as 20 seconds to get to temperature. IIRC CF is quick too, respect to a Crafty. Just not as much as 20seconds.
If you can, get your hands on a couple of Vapexhale Cloud EVO ELB's and you will improve your CF experience already, they fit in and improve somewhat the flavor too. I heard it on this same forum and have to agree.

It looks interesting.

But, it has the same problem as all the glass mouthpieces, namely that the herb is loaded into the glass piece, and after use, you cannot remove the glass piece without heating up the Fury. In addition, leaving glass pieces to cool in the chamber is bad long-term for the chamber.

All this works fine for the typical WPA use, where the WPA is upside down in a glass bong, the Fury is then heated up and placed upside down onto the WPA. For the last hit, the Fury is removed, driving the air through the bong.

However, it doesn't work so well for the glass mouthpieces, or other right side up uses. When using the glass mouthpiece, the "pleasant effect of the aromatherapy" :) causes the user to forget to remove the glass piece, causing it to cool in the chamber (bad for the chamber), and then causing the user to need to heat up the Fury later just to remove the glass piece with the spent herb. But then the glass piece is hot - which is also true if you remember to remove it before the Fury turns off. This makes for significant handling problems.

So, while the WPA's are fine for upside down use, and the small size of the standard included mouthpiece is ideal for use on the go, what is really needed to prevent hot lips (due to the strong heat at the end of the mouthpiece during a second session) is a long version of the standard included mouthpiece, preferably where the internal glass emerges from the top of the mouthpiece and then bends towards the user (the bend causes further cooling). Such a mouthpiece would not need anything to be inserted into the chamber, which is a problematic design decision.
