Singer of songs and a vapor connoisseur
I was born in the late 50s. I was a child of the sixties and a teenager in the 70s. I like I was brought up in the era of rock and roll. Then something happened to the music in the late 70s. There were plenty of bands still doing rock and roll but that damn disco music came along. I don’t really like rap either. Thank goodness for the rock and roll bands like Tom Petty and The Hearbreakers.

The Bee Gees were able to morph into disco quite easily.

@Shrike this is NOT the F you thread. I have always referred to him as John Revolting though.

In a forum called FUCK combustion, the F is pretty much a free word anywhere. Though I will admit that I've used John Revolting over the years, also.

The FU thread is more for cathartic release...I was just making a statement of fact...:tup:

Rock lyrics with a combo disco & rock beat.
Back then I felt like I was part of the Disco Sucks movement, but this song got under my skin. It sounded like disco, but I could not get it out of my head. Same with The Fez by Steely Dan.

@Vitolo , you should feel fortunate having missed the Disco plague. I regret to inform you of more victims besides the BeeGees. Fellow mourners, let us have of moment of silence, literally, with the volume down, as we recall the Dead's Shakedown Street and Blondie's Heart of Glass. 1978 was a year of contagion.

But for some twisted reason, I loved the VW bus blaring disco classics in lot after Dead shows many years later. Tripping disco balls

@Summer - us nerds couldn't dance and couldn't pick up babes like you, so we latched onto punk and new wave back then, our own little club

No, seriously, CCC, don't disparage it. There are those of us who remember good & meaningful times with that music playing in the background.

So basically, you just jumped up & down to the music. :p Sad, very sad.

Even Rod. Saw it live, the dude turned and wiggled his butt obscenely at us for the whole song.

You have to admit, his heavily raspy voice is completely seductive. I have his Song Book Collection -- all 4 or 5 CDs. His voice crosses many genres.

I love storytelling songs like Maggie May & American Pie. The 8 min version of AP blows me away. Did you guys ever google American Pie's meaning? It's a trip, everyone trying to figure out what it means in its entirety. Some parts Dan McClean revealed & the rest is conjecture.

His (RS) voice which can sing so many genres is like all the different genres of jazz, which I love. 1930's through contemporary.

Anyway, Paul McCartney was just interviewed on 60 minutes, so I'll hit you with this; he had such a sweet voice & wrote some beautiful music:

Doubling up the flower and concentrate is my favourite way to vape. I use a puck press to sandwich both together.

I'm 36, live in Ontario, Canada. I discovered vaping last year and havent looked back :) went from smoking to a Arizer Air 2 that did NOTHING for me lol then a FC member @Bad Dog bought me a Dynavap and had it shipped to me, he had a similar starting experience where he tried and tried and nothing worked. well, the Dyna worked wonders and I havent gone back to smoking. helps that I quit smoking tobacco and started vaping nicotine, so i was already in one form of vaping :) after that, my tolerance kept increasing and I couldnt get where I needed to go, so once again @Bad Dog sent me something of his, a Cannabis Hardware Weedeater setup. Worked decent after i figured it out, but it just wasnt hitting hard enough for my liking. I made a post about it and another amazing member ( @lazylathe ) reached out and offered to send me a Modded Weedeater head and a New Vape (back before the name change) "shovelhead" bowl, except the bowl is a kinda collectors edition (it's one of their first designs I believe). I've had the modded head for a couple days now and my god it slaps lol

I am so darn thankful to the members here AND for all the amazing information stored here! This is one of my "Home away from home" 's lol

Thanks so much for helping me on my journey, I'm proud to be a part of this community and hope it grows and shines for years to come!

Cheers!
