While I can understand all the fuss about the portability ...
Well, we are all different after all !

I usually do not medicate outdoors.
It has given me almost always some kind of trouble or discomfort .
Whether was the wind or the rain, weird people ,cops ,etc .

i prefer to medicate indoors and then be outdoors.

Still ,when the IH device is powered from a stable " Constant Voltage " output
( voltage does not gradually decrease ,like it does with batteries ) ,
like when from an external switching or linear PSU ( <= power supply unit ) ,
the whole experience gets even better .
The IH remains powerful and fast ,all the time, every time.

So,I kinda needed ASAP a real desktop IH .
For my desk .
Seated nearby the monitor.
And of course powered by the computer's PSU .

I totally get that. I have no interest in taking an IH outside either.

But I live in a rural area that has frequent power outages so I like to have a set up where I am not dependant on a electrical receptacle. Rechargeable batteries help as does lots of butane and lighters. I also like to be able to move the IH about the house without the receptacle dictating the location.

My situation may be relatively unique. My whole house is set up to not rely on electricity. Wood stove. A gas fireplace that doesn't need electricity to work. Same with my gas cook stove, it works just fine when the lights go out. All I need is a match. Landline phone. I'm setting up solar for the freezer and sump pump. It's sort of my principle approach to everything out here and also one of the reasons that I love my Vapcaps so much. The fewer things I have that need to be tied to a plug-in, the happer I am.

No. Because that would make sense. It still is wide open, airflow wise.

Still trying to figure out how to get reclaim out of it.

ETA: I have also now added a small piece of cotton into the end of the chillum. Has helped a lot with smoothness of the vapor.

I actually meant cleaning it might help with your burnt taste.

Diff strokes for different folks, I suppose.

While some prefer their IH indoors, I (would) like one which I can fire up OUTDOORS, watching the seals
In Monterey, the bikinis in La Jolla, or the lobsters coming into port on the right coast.

An uber portable VCIH which can be belt up with your EDC pack.

Would be the tits! Much eye candy. Outdoors.

@Ricardo, do you use your Nona's condenserless with the water tools?
One of the reasons I keep the condenser is for the reclaim. I'm not stingy with my weed but once a week I'll poke some degummed hemp fibre through my 3 condensers and generally get a gooey glob of resinous reclaim that goes in a herb sandwich in the NonaVong. This is often the highlight of my vaping weekend :D

I do power the desktop IH,by having it directly connected with the pc PSU .
Used an unused 4-pin peripheral / MOLEX connector for the job ,
yellow (+ 12 VDC ) & black wires (GND ) .

USB ports can not be used ,as they can not deliver the needed amperage ( up to 10 A )
for the IH module to operate .

Check the "usb power delivery " section :

Mine is a Jarhead so tethered to a plug and only used at home. I wouldn't mind having one I could bring out and about just to eliminate the sound of a torch which can be a bummer in some places. But I'm not in a hurry for it so I am going to wait for DVs and some of the others being developed to see what all the options are first.

@stark1 please cut that out. I already have morning nausea.

More like my bile but there's definitely movement...

So I originally didn't use the scoring in the tips to reduce the bowl size but I find I am doing it now on all my VCs with Ti tips. One advantage I find is that with a smaller bowl there is never a need to stir, or as I usually did it, dump and suck. The other, of course, is I end up using a little less as I don't always need a full bowls worth.
