Discontinued The Venus Apollo

Abysmal Vapor

Supersniffer 2000 - robot fart detection device
In February of this year Storz & Bickel served suit on Herbalizer for patent infringement. Apparently S&B has a patent on the balloon function, not sure if utility or design patent or both? By April of this year, without a fight, Herbalizer ceased operations and closed it’s doors.
Sry for the offtopic, but if there is patent on the Bag filling, doesnt that affect all bag vaporizers out there ? Was it the herb chamber or some part in particular that was the object of that lawsuit ,or really it was the balloon filling option.. I know both vaporizers use different heating tech and algo's .
It is really fishy to leave without a fight if things are going good for you,i doubt S&B law suit was the reason for that, how about all the potential numerous lawsuit from unhappy re-sellers and custmers ? It related somehow it was more like a good excuse.. I highly doubt the maker of the Venus would let things go that easy without even warning his customers, not that there is any reason to think that he is an object of a lawsuit just because he has site troubles .. How easy would be to find a tech guy to fix his site during Holidays in his country,is most probably the question that will give an answer on when things will be back to function.

You are correct, there is some reporting out there that Herbalizer failed due to a number of factors and not just the lawsuit.

Regardless it's 08/10/18 and holiday's are over in Finland, calling villekille2 where are you? Are you still in bidness? Do we still have warranty protection on our expensive Apollo II vapes? Can we still get parts for our expensive vapes? Helllloooo....?

Is Venus Apollo discontinued? I see villekille2's site up, (though the ordering page is still buggy/down) but only info on the flagship, Venus.
Hey Rouge, got the exact same Q. I've attempted to contact several times, he hasn't posted on his own thread here since 04/26/18! wtf man? If the Venus Apollo II SE is discontinued, please fucking say so! If it is discontinued then explain what parts are available and how you plan to provide warranty service.

I spent over $600 USD on two(2) Apollo II's earlier this year in 2018, I need to know if I have warranty support or not. Both units are operating fine now, but what about 6 months from now? I am tempted to look into EU policy on warranties, my understanding is that warranties are treated far more seriously there than in the US.

Is it possible that he can be reached via other forms of communication? Facebook? IG? etc.?

His Facebook dates to Aug 2016 for the most recent post. There is also his Youtube channel.

I've been watching him since he started and was strongly considering the Venus for my sole whip adventuring for a while, but this (lack of) reliable contact is turning me off to even the Apollo line, which would have been a guaranteed sale, had I discovered them during whatever window of availability I apparently missed. I, like others here @ FC - have medical need, and this chasing/waiting is exhausting. I did have brief email contact with him, once years ago.

Hey Guys, as far as I got to know @villekille2 he was always very reliable.

Which means of communication have been tried so far? I hope nothing happened to him as he was always quite proud of his product and I can not imagine that he just abandons it from one day to another without any notice.

I own an Apollo v1 and did not encounter any problems so far, so regarding reliability you should not worry too much (it is no Grasshopper :)), though I can more than understand that for the price a warranty should be in place.

As @CheebaChiefer was asking, AFAIK normally electronic devices should have a warranty of 2 years in the EU. Don't pin me down on it but that is how I understood it all those years living in the EU.

I hope @villekille2 gives us a life sign.

Almost there...
This just appeared on their website, not the shop one

FOR REPAIR AND SERVICE CONTACT: HUOLTO@VENUSVAPORIZER.COM

I do not see that on the website when I am on it.
For me there is just their regular email.

I also tried to go to their online store and it seems to have disappeared as well.

Hoping all is good over @villekille2 and Venus Vaporizers!

If Ville Savolainen aka villekille2 has sold/closed his bidness, again please fucking say so!

If someone else ie., Huolto@venusvaporizer, is now running the shop and or is providing warranty service please fucking say so!

There is no store/checkout function that works. When the website does work it appears to be an old version. This situation seems like an entity which has ceased to exist with no notice to loyal customers like me who have spent over $600 USD in early 2018.

It has been nearly SIX MONTHS since Ville has posted on his own thread, again see the previous scenario I mentioned. This really only requires a brief response, tell us your customer base, if you are still in bidness and if not how do you propose to provide warranty service?

@Hogni I did not put a lot of effort to search for him but the domain "venusvaporizers.com" was registered by a US company who seems to register domains for people concerned about privacy.

So at least no info through the whois database with that domain.

Like @Andreaerdna I also eMailed them to ask if they are still in business.

Let's hope we hear back to know what happened to the company and @villekille2 .

Got an answer for my email I wrote a week ago on Monday being sent from info [at] venusvaporizer [dot] com. I was asking for info where to get a new glass for the apollo (my last one broke last week). He offered to sent me one if I give my address.

I asked if the shop will reopen in return, as I was thinking about buying other stuff, too. No answer since then.

Somehow strange situation. The domain "venusvaporizers.com" (plural) seems to have been canceled, maybe an "accident". For a time it was used for domain reselling, typical thing that happens, if a domain got back to registrar and open for getting buyed by domain grabbers. Now its pointing nowhere.

I def hope/wish all the best for @villekille2 . Not sure what the background of all of this is. I think he is reading this, too. Hope this will turn out in a good way somehow.

Signs of life and stock at Venus for Apollo and a Limited Edition....
Not sure what you mean Rouge, I get "cannot connect securely to this page" message when trying to bring up the website. If you know something the rest of us don't, do please share.

Hmm. I used the green "order now" button on http://venusvaporizer.com and got http://www.venusvaporizer.com/shop/ both work for me?
I was using saved links in IE made back when I was buying off the English language site. I do see the Venus Apollo IISE but don't see any parts offering?

Nonetheless thanks for the heads-up, although would still like to hear from Ville. Who knows could have personal/family/SO issues? We don't need or want such details. A quick statement that things are back on track and parts, warranty service are available. Really a couple sentences from Ville here on his own thread would alleviate buyer's anxiety like mine. This is why I generally shy away from "vaporizer entrepreneurs" cuz these little 1-3 man/woman shops get overwhelmed by customer service issues, like sales, returns, parts, warranty service. These folks end up juggling ten balls in the air until one or more balls fall.
