My super hi tech fix to my only issue with the nano.......lolz.

I used double sided tape. Velcro would be good.

Your method works good. Tape it down and no one will mess with the setting.

Indeed, the controller is one reason I made a stand.

Only thing I would change now is to have another foot or so of wire.

Think I'll go visit the Nano for some AK47.

@BabyFacedFinster The waxing doesn’t help for crack prevention. Only you can say no to crack.

But it will bring the wood to life, you’ll begin to see a depth in the grain and spots of character that pop because the wax has been worked into the grain. I’ve been in loads of cathedrals, I’m a filthy heathen but admire the architecture and the craftsmanship, and the woodwork seems like you can stick your hand into it. It’s been waxed lovingly by hand probably weekly/monthly for hundreds of years and it’s stunning. Your walnut nano could look just as nice. Mine was bought 3rd-hand (at least) and poorly maintained, plain/not fancy cherry. It’s gorgeous now, if I do say so, and by spending the time with it I appreciate its beauty all the more because I know where to look. So yeah, all that to say you really should because you’re worth it.

EDIT: @Hackerman So the leather sucked the oils out of the wood? Wouldn’t have thunk it.

Thanks @pxl_jockey . Old wood just gets smoother the more it's worked.
Do you have to worry about the wax getting between the wood and the metal sleeve?

No sir, it’s applied sparingly with a soft cloth. So when I get to the top bit, I have a fair bit worked into the cloth and I just buff it in. Because that’s the hottest part, over time the wood has soaked up the wax and it’s glossy and dark. Good luck with this, I hope you give it a go!

:leaf: I forgot to give full disclosure on this whole take-the-time-to-wax business:

I was told to do this by @CarolKing and wouldn’t have discovered its joys without her wise words. So there, do it because CK says so. In fact, in all things Nano I listen to her. I wouldn’t have 5 j-hooks if she hadn’t encouraged me to try one. It’s become my favourite way to enjoy my nano, that and the killer XL stem.

I can confirm this as well. I have a burl maple nano, which was always a looker, but after some wood conditioning withEd's Tnt Bomb Ass Butter, it looks stunning. It really brought out the subtle details of the wood.

@Ed’s TnT does sell some really nice wood conditioning with the balm ass butter. It’s good to condition the wooden stems as well. The beeswax, coconut oil or a combination of the two, to work into the wood every other month or so.

Using ISO to make the glass stems sparkling clean also will keep your vapor tasting at its best. I have a bit of the Grape this evening. Some GrapeApe and a clean stem. Berry / grape vapor taste coming through. This unit you get to experience great vapor flavor.

Here is a picture of mine. The E-Nano has a stripe on it because I used the sleeve (next to it) for a while. I just removed it last week and I am hoping the color blends back together over time. Bummer the way it looks now (unless you like stripes LOL).

This stand does not look like it's ever going to come close to the color of the E-Nano.

@nadia_epic I ordered the cherry stand. Is this cherry or maple?

Thanks

Honestly it is a 50/50 chance that is a cherry stand. I have seen some very light cherry, so light in fact I refused to believe it was cherry. However I've also seen Ariana super over worked shipping out and I wouldn't be surprised if there was a mix-up. If you fill out an RMA request I can have it swapped out for you either way. https://epicvape.com/request-rma/

@nadia_epic: I’m glad to see you guys are busy over there, that means @ACE OF VAPE is doing something right! But I’m preaching to the choir...

I got my “small” stand in as well as my aromatherapy dish and new style e-pick. The stand is bigger than I expected. I didn’t read the description and because of the picture I thought it only had a slot for one stem and the e-pick.

I was pleasantly surprised to find it had room for three glass pieces (two stems and the aromatherapy dish) as well as the e-pick!

Now that is some proof that wood gets darker as it ages! My E-Nano is maple that’s three years old, the stand is brand new maple. I’m pretty sure heat also plays a role in the color shift.

Scissor hash in the nano is as tasty a treat as I can fathom..........

This is a special treat. I loved that fresh taste. I've only tried it once, and it was through the nano.

All this recent talk of accessories talked me into picking up a small walnut stand for my Mr. Walnut. Now after 3 years, he'll finally have a nice home to nest in. Was still able to get the Labor Day sale price too... thanks Epic :)

A current lack of material made me use ABV for relaxation.

This time though instead of eating it in a sandwich (BARF!) I made QWISO Dabs with some 99% Iso.

JriE9js.jpg

Pretty nice for the first time.

No vacuum action, only air and small heat evapping (some say Iso is too dangerous without a vac?) but I had 2 or 3 dabs on cotton through my bubbler, with the nano on about 7 last night and alas, am not blind or dead yet.

I was originally planning a tincture, but decided against drinking Iso (no matter how not-really-toxic it may be in small amounts). Luckily this country has a drinking problem so you can by 190 Proof clear grain alcohol for as little as 3-4 bucks / Liter. Ridiculous.
Made some tincture and looking forward to experimenting with it, more research needed :science:.

The QWISO Dabs are ok, taste like the burps you get after eating raw AVB for the first 1-2 hits then it's totally neutral.
Nano does them with no fuss!

Sometimes you gotta do what you gotta do. I like the idea of using everclear over iso, but I'm no dab maker myself. The one time I tried it I only soaked the ABV for like 20 seconds and after a week of setting it out to dry I ended up with a little crust on the bottom of a glass plate. Yours came out much better. I imagine your nano makes quick work of that on a 7.

In eating food it's been said that hunger is the best sauce. I guess for herb, sometimes the best flavor is getting high.

Enano is going strong. I used some beeswax on my Enano over the weekend, then had both units on temp 7 to let the conditioning soak in. I do have some Ed’s TNT balm ass butter and it will work just as well.

I have some Gorilla Glue in my Enano right now. Heat @ 6.25. I love the vapor taste-thats the turpines that gives off the taste of pine. Good flavor and a good night to all in NanoNation.

Ive had my nano for years (its an og) and its still going strong. Abused daily. I feel as though i should buy a few accesories just to give something back to the company. Theyve really produced an excelent tool that is genuinly designed to last, a rare thing in these modern times.

@davesmith have you ever tried making any nice glass for your nano, like a fancy stem or carbed adapter? Don't be shy I've seen some nice vapcap stems by you, whats your personal glass for your nano?

:peace:

Thats a great question. If im completely honest im either using a pnwt or a normal straight stem atm, i have a large water piece but its been relocated as the nano lives in the house and the accesories are kept in a drawer.

I have thought about fancy stems on more than one occasion but i have never got round to it. Most likely ill make a 'spikey' stem, simmilar to the splinter/heatpod etc ones, with cooling indentation. it only takes a few mins and makes a huge difference.

I wish someone would make just a plain carbed gong. I know Joda once made them but they were pricey and more ornamental than I was looking for. Carbed adapters are fine, I use one from TAG, but it adds all this extra glassware.

Isn't there some kind of glass drillbit or so that we could use to make a small carb into our GonG's?

Times are tough here, and I tried to press some dabs out of kief but I guess I f'd up and got them all stuck into the coffee filter I used (the dude in the Youtube video I used as an instruction said not to use the brown ones, shoulda listened).
DOWG7Nu.jpg

look at that

For a few days I thought I wasted .7g's of Kief, but today I had the smart Idea to just put the paper into the GonG and vape it with my nano - success!

It's like a premade dab, just rip one off and pop it in. Don't even need to fuss about with cotton.

Around 6.5 it's pretty cool. 2-3 big hits.

I wish we had a legal markret here, then I could totally become a nano-influencer ;) Don't know what else I'd advertise vaping with it here, sage, lavender, catnip??? :)

I totally agree. A new and eager maker of carbed gongs could do well. I would purchase a few for sure.
