Thanks for the keck clip tip! i didn't even know the name of that clip.
I'm using one of the two clips given in the elev8r kit and it works but a keck clip would be safer.
Thanks for the sherlock tip! I bought a keck clip myself and tried it out with my j-hook. It feels really cool, figuratively and literally, which makes it a little harder to judge the temperature of the chamber. But it is extremely cool (;)) and I want to thank you for the suggestion!

I really love sherlocks! :tup::rockon:

1st time posting here, Just got my Sticky Brick Maxx and love it, a lovely walnut example of the piece. It goes into my vape line up of 7th Floor SSV, S&B Crafty, Vapexhale Hydra Tube and soon to be added 2018 DynaVap M.

So Glad I found out about SBL

I have a walnut Hydrobrick Maxx as well. It was my first SBL product, and it really cemented me as a customer.

StickyBrickLabs is teasing their new product on Instagram: the Runt is coming.
So technically i'll be working for them as i'll have to buy the new mini bubbler, a HydroMaxx and there's this Runt coming...

Hmmm...I need to look into this....by the pic I'm assuming that it's basically an OG in SBJ size?

The name suggests it should be the smallest of the family, maybe ideal for micro dosing?
The vertical cut could make it very interesting for modular evolution: add a water section in the middle, Lego style??

I received the restrictor from SB (very timely delivery, thank you).

Mine does NOT fit in the "normal" way and I have to turn it upside down (stem of restrictor is too wide for intake hole) and my Jr is not all that old (bought Dec 2017) so I just flipped it upside down as per the instructions.

I do agree that it definitely makes it hard to impossible to combust. But I'm not at all sure that I will continue to use it as it seemed to tame my Jr a bit more than suits me. I have put in the time to learn my Jr with the torch lighter I use and get great and thick draws from it. The restrictor has definitely made it a bit more mild (which many people may well prefer).

Love my Jr for quick middle of the night sessions so I can lay back down. Works brilliantly.

So, I got my SB Jr. today (in Canarywood as well, which is downright gorgeous), along with the black mouthpiece and intake from Sneaky Pete. However, the black pieces don't fit well into the body and are very loose. I'm worried it won't create a good seal with the o-rings. The cap also doesn't fit due to the more flared intake. I haven't read through this entire thread, so I apologize if it's been mentioned before, but is anybody else having this problem? I'm considering returning them because they just don't appear to be very functional.

I had a SBJR for a few weeks. I bought the black flared intake from PuffitUp. When I gave away my SBJR I kept that piece and use it on my Maxx.
If you use it with the SBJR, which I do recommend, you will not be able to close the cap with it installed. You will have to remove it and put back in the original clear piece. At least that was my experience. My black intake is not loose.

Well... shit. Not exactly a deal breaker for those pieces, but sort of kills the portability for me. If I can get the fitment worked out, maybe I'll hang onto them for home use.

@illumin8100: I always say do what works for you, that’s all that is important. If you quit smoking for a few months you gave it a good try.

I am a bit puzzled about your statement that people cough more while vaping. I cough less when vaping, I rarely cough since switching from smoking. I smoked cannabis for close to 20 years and switched to exclusively vaping 3 years ago. Also, I don’t think twice about vaping frequently, a lot of us on here vape more regularly than every few hours. Basic science tells us that combusting destroys many of the active ingredients in our cannabis before they ever reach our system. Vaping may give a different buzz, but it’s indisputable that it is more efficient.

Like I said though, do what works for you and fuck what anyone else says, including me.

I appreciate man! For me, a thick cloud of vapor has always gotten me to cough like i just took a dab rip. I dunno maybe it's just me but i never got a lazy eye from vaping like i do when i smoke. Everybody is different though.

To get this back on track let’s talk about the OG Brick. It is one of my favorite vaporizers and I just love the form factor. The big mouthpiece is a visual treat when the vapor starts flowing. It’s usually a daily driver.

Lately I’ve been using my Junior instead, it tends to get a little neglected. I love how it performs almost the same as its big brother. In some ways it hits harder due to the shorter vapor path.

I got an OG and a Junior as well. IMO it's easier to get a good hit from the Junior than the OG. The Junior is more forgivable than the OG to me... I can reading and writing with the SBJ.
But the OG gives me more tasteful flavor! For a good hit from the OG I have to be focused and not totally wasted! When I get that hit, OG brings me to downtown Flavor City!!!
So I start the evening with the OG and end up with other vapes that I can hit (almost) mindless...

That’s fascinating, for me it’s the opposite. I find the OG Brick more forgiving. I think part of it is that the OG was my first. Also, the huge mouthpiece shows the vapor really well and the visual feedback helps me get those big hits without pushing it too far. The Junior doesn’t show the vapor nearly as well as the OG.

The OG Brick is very cool and smooth though, the Junior gives me more feedback from vapor temperature. I adjust my technique based on how it feels instead of visual feedback.

The Junior was my first Brick.
With the Junior I do some short mouthpulls so I can see and feel the vapor, then I do a real hit.
My problem with the OG is sometimes the flame distance to the intake. If I'm not aware of it I shorten the distance and oops.. hotspot. Or sometimes I push it too far (milking, milking milking), because it's sooooo nice!!!
Maybe it's an eternal learning curve with the OG for me, but I'm loving it! Especially when I hit it right!!!

maybe you should try the restrictor piece they began to sell recently, it's exactly about that problem

I didn't know about these restrictor plates.
I don't think I need them, but for less than five bucks and free shipping I figured it wouldn't hurt to try them out. If anything, they'd be nice to have in the cabinet to throw in as training wheels for introducing a new butane-powered vaporizer user to this line of products.

Anyway, while I was there I wanted to pick up more of their cleaning brushes because I use the original one I have for all sorts of things and I want a couple more. Well, I couldn't find them on the website. So I assume that they must not be carrying them anymore. Is there anyone here that knows where to find brushes just like it?

i will try the restrictor thing one of these days, i'll wait some sale day because i have V.A.S. about 2-3 devices too (poor me...more exactly: poor wallet of mine)
For the brushes you should have a look at the glass straw brushes, economic and surely do the job ;)

Nah. Not at all the kind of brushes I want. I want some exactly like the sticky brick one. I use it for brushing off all sorts of things, including brushing out my grinders after use.

Good idea, @hopla! They're on my wishlist. When they have landed in Europe first thing I will purchase!
...and I'm very curious and excited about The Runt... Being patient when you got VAS, very difficult!
