Hi, sorry for my english,

I'm here to ask you if with the relase of topcapv3 from vivant will solve all the issues concerned on melt o plastic taste/smell or something else.

I read lots of unit still cracks on battery shell and overal vape body but I'm mainly afraid about vapour safety.

This will be my first electronic vape(I own a dynavap), I' d like that because cheap and because of the little chamber(i like microdosing and personal sessions) battery easily replaceable, firmware upgradable on my own, nice and kind seller customer service, cheap WPA straight from motherhouse(is it a good WPA compared to delta3d one?

I saw as on puffit, vapefiend and mainly all famous store stop to sell it i think because unreliable

I' m quite sure to buy a mighty instead of that but at the same time I d like to give Vivant a chance and save three and a half the cost.

Nobody try to make a DIY mod to the alternate body? Any future upgrade alternate in the near future?

Grazie e ciao!

Thanx for your answer,
Unfortunately send a (weed smelly)item from EU to USA would be not the cheaper thing and maybe also legally unsafety, surely would cost the 50%of what I'd paid for a new one.

I' d prefer to buy an unit that no need for assistence after a moderate use,

Hoping to know from final users if vivant alternate problem are 100% sollved with the new topcap.
I do not mean plastic cover, bevause it seems to be really poor in qiality but if other things are fixed i could choose it instead of more expensive alternatives.

How does someone who purchased from a website that no longer sells the Alternate?

Randy from puffitup.com offered to give me a credit, but I did not take him up on the offer since I did not want him to be forced to take the loss.

The upgraded v3 top cap works fine. No smell or cracking or any of the problems with the earlier versions. It is a little complicated to take apart and put back together for cleaning but if you go to Vivant’s youtube account, they have a couple videos that show you how to do it.

I tried to search for battery in this thread but I have an annoying battery problem with this device which is if it is left in the device for more than a day; the battery will die or does not have enough power to power it for one use. Anyone fix this? I have latest firmware. If battery left out; the power drain is minimum for months.

Sorry for the late response but I stopped using this device for months due to the cap and heat issues.

Make certain to turn unit completely off (powered down totally)....
In the event this does not solve issue, remove battery after sessions, and put it back in when ready for use.
It may sound like a bother, but the vaporizers function is worth that minor extra step.
I have heard a few owners saying that the battery drains while in the device.
While I never experienced this, but when not using the unit, I remove battery as a precautionary measure.
It is an 18650 battery easily obtained on Ebay or other online venues.
If you have "cap" issues... write to Vivant either on their website, or here at @Vivant , and let them know.
If you have an original cap from the first run of this excellent unit, they will most likely send you the updated cap.

No. I've tried all of those solutions, fiddling with battery last year and off/on button. I blame myself for using it everyday in the beginning so I didn't notice it till the cap problems worried me so I used it less. I held out instead of returning because vivant was doing cap replacements and firmware update. The last one 1.03 was early 2017 so I held out hope it would be addressed.

Honestly if the battery could be removed without lifting off the top I would be less annoyed because that is how I lost my green pick(no idea where it went).

I understand.
Where can I get a wpa for the Alternate???
@PlanetVape has a full fitting one at http://www.planetvape.ca/vivant-alternate-water-adapter-clone.html

And https://delta3dstudios.com/portable-vaporizer-accessories/vivant-alternate/ sells a different type of adapter for the Alternate.

Hey to all alternate users!

How do you clean the bowl?
With ISO and Qtip?
ISO percent?

Perhaps anybody makes a video.
I don't know if it is bad if a Qtip with alcohol contacts the alternate's plastic.
I heard that the plastic from the bowl is chemical resistant(Randy's tear down) but what is with the outside of the device and the part on top (without topcap) with the three screens.

Anybody who is cleaning the topcaps in the dishwasher can say me if the cap tastes good after the dishwasher?
I can't clean my pipe/glass in the dishwasher because rinse aid tastes like cat food is smelling for me,

Thank you for reaching out to us. My name is Ivan, I am the CSR for Vivant.

First off, I am sorry to hear you are having troubles finding information on how to clean your Alternate.

To properly clean your top cap, we recommend using ½ and ½ of equal parts of water and rubbing alcohol. You may also want to try using dish soap to clean your mouthpiece with the same ½ and ½ measurements. I personally would recommend letting the parts sit fin the solution or about an 1 hr. or 2. After this period you can use a soft towel or paper towels to clean the residue off the different parts and pieces.

The same solution can be sued to clean specially for the bowl area. Just gently wipe the area of the bowl and its surrounding areas using a Q-tip soaked in the solution ( being sure its not too damp) Once you have gotten it clean to your liking we recommend you do he same process except with just water and then do a couple dry burns to get rid of any unwanted smell.

You can disassemble the top cap and take all the parts out and let it sit and soak in the solution mix of the equal parts water and cleaning solution/rubbing alcohol. If you look at your top cap you can see a little silver circle with a line running through it where it reads “clean often”. To unscrew this piece you can simply use a small coin to unscrew and separate the parts to clean. Once you have unscrewed the silver part that reads “clean often” you can separate the top cap by pulling apart out the bottom piece of the top cap that shows the green O-ring.

If you have the new V3 top caps the only thing that is different is the assembly which can be kind of tricky because there are more pieces and involve a particular setup. Here’s a video showing how to properly assemble the new V3 top cap:
-. Be sure the airflow adjuster on your device is fully open before using your device again.

As a reminder, If you have the V3 top cap please be aware that it does require a particular set up.

Please feel free to write back with any question or additional comments you may have.

Thank you,

Vivant Team

Thank you alot!

I know all about cleaning the topcaps but nice to get such a nice feedback/answer!

For me the only thing i can't find really much about it is the percent of the ISO for cleaning the bowl.
I found a few tips to clean the bowl with LiPaLu Solution but nothing about cleaning the bowl with ISO.
Only troy from 420vapezone with his mighty and 91 percent ISO.
So nice to know that 50/50 solution will be ok, but it isn't good to get something from it on the plastic on the outside from the device or have i not to worry about that?

Is NEBULA a new Vivant Alternate rebrand like ZEAL or SEAL?

I took the Alternate to Hulaween this year. I have had a few issues with it, but all in all, the Vivant vapes have been very solid for me. I also still have 5 or 6 V-Leaf vapes going around the family. Not one vivant vape has bit the dust, although the main body of my Alternate is starting to crack.
Vivant is a solid company and I will probably replace the Alternate with their newest /best model.

The new bodies have a CE sign at the micro usb.
It's hard to see.
Maybe they changed a lil bit on the whole body.
I used two of them without CE sign for over a year and no cracking body.
In my case the two older ones came with battery and without CE sign and the new ones came without battery but with CE sign...mhh
But I think the new bodys generally have the CE sign, doesn't matter if it comes with or without battery.
I think if they have changed a lil bit on the CE version bodies VIVANT doesn't name it / declare it because they would have to change for example thr V1 bodies with the V2 bodies for any reseller.

So I would like to know what is new?
Is there some new?

I can't imagine if they change the plastic injection mold for an CE sign that there aren't a few small changes/Updates.
