Ditanium vaporizer

A q-tip doesn't fit...Troy noticed that on our first night with it. It's built to burnoff, and it works well but can take some time.

The @PuffItUp crew is having a blast with theirs, I hear. I just had a couple dabs over flower at noon and it was great...thanks for the tip, Randy! I'm blowing clouds for days with flower on noon!

Are we on page 2 already?!

Went LHS and saw the Ditanium in person, it looked nice and well constructed. Bottom has clear plastic for the led to shine through. You can see the wiring and some cardboard. Shop owner threw me a number I couldn’t refuse. He didn’t have the Ti cap but he had a SCS Ti cap that fit perfect and weighted so harder to topple off.

Walked out with it and the cap And ran home. Read the instructions like every male does and plugged it in. Turned it to full power and let heat for 30 mins. Let it cool down and waited an hour. Turned it on to mid setting as per the instructions and waited 5 mins. Tried loading some flower did a drag and nothing. Turned the dial up to2pm and few drags later start getting vapor. Vapor is on the thin side. Turn heat up to max and try. Nice thicker. So I put the cap on and then I get nice thick vapor. Reload another bowl and hit it on max the whole time. 4 drags later I am medicated. Good flavor but couldn’t make the flower dark brown.

Going to try some concentrates to see how she goes.

This is a good bedside vape or dinner party vape. Nice and easy to use. Not intimidating or does not look like a science experiment.

So far I like it. Good desktop alternative that can look like a diffuser. So easy to hide.

Hose in pic does not come with the Ditanium. The box included a clear silicone hose about 18” long I believe.

@VapeFiend.com found this pic on the on the line.

Looks like what you said. Drop material in glass shaft and stick glass shaft on to the Ditanium nipple.

This vape is very interesting and might make a great bedside or party option.

@stickstones how is the heat up time?

Saw a unit at my local head shop and it got me curious.

Anyone know or got more info on those all quartz/glass units?
The ceramic heater will reach full temperature in about 20-30 seconds:however, the whole heater cover will not be heat saturated for about 5-10 minutes. It operates most efficiently and produces the most consistent vapor once it has a few minutes to heat up.
You can use for low temp dabs of concentrates without the heat saturation and we make a carb cap for the units. I would give it a few minutes to warm up every time if used to vape flower.

Hello everyone
It’s kinda hard to see the diameter of the dish for dabs...I’m wondering if a qtip fits in there for cleaning up between dabs or is this something you need to burn off.
Reminds me of a DBV or SSV oil attachment in a way but more refined?
But the qtip factor to me is key
Any info is appreciated
Thanks
The diameter of the dish is pretty tight for a lot of the q-tips. I am checking to see if I can locate a brand or produce our own that will work without issue. The ceramic element needs to be close to the dabbing surface so making the diameter too big, reduces the units efficiency for concentrates . It will burn everything off quickly by leaving the unit on, especially if its turned up.

@DITANIUM VAPOR

We need some videos to show how it is used and what it can do!
Been out a while now and I cannot find one video.
. This was produced by our friend at Sneakypetevaporizers.

Look great with the wrap!! The hose is 24" thats comes with units and is silicone. It will brown the herbs if turned up higher than mid way. I'm your have got your preferred temps dialed in at this point. Thanks again for picking it up.

Haven't been on FC in months (had to pare down the collection to my VapCap for a little while...) but this vape looks SO up my alley.

I love the simplicity, the dual-use aspect, & the heavy cloud aspect...

My biggest concern about it is that I didn't like the DBV or SSV very much. I know they are fan favorites at FC but I could never get the herb to stay in the wand, which meant that there were chronic problems with hot-spots and unevenly cooked herbs.

@stickstones would you say the herb experience is identical to using 7th Floor vapes? Or is it improved in some way?

I think it's similar, and that's right down my alley. I don't get it...what do you mean you couldn't get the herb to stay in the wand?

What I mean is that the packed weed would become unpacked as I rotated the wand, which meant that some weed would fall very close to the heating element and vape darker than the weed still close to the screen. Occasionally I would get a bowl to work well by packing it down tight, but then it was difficult to dump that bowl without banging the glass wand around. I had significant hotspot issues as well.

Maybe I am over exaggerating the issues I had. I remember thinking that the skinny shape of the ceramic heating element was causing some of my issues, especially with the hotspotting. That seems to be less of an issue with the Ditanium.

Do you think there are any capsule/ELB type options for usage with this vaporizer? I really like to have a clean packing and unpacking process.

My other question (and I'm sorry I have so many, feel free to ignore some of all of this) is: the same wand is used for both oil and flowers, correct? Do you foresee this causing any problems with taste, or with sticky oil residue on the weed screen?

I found a decent review and demo on how to use Ditanium with flower, oil and combo methods here. I think it might address your last question.

You couldn't have been packing much in there at all. I don't even pack mine very tight...but once the wand is packed, nothing is coming out, even if I shake it upside down. It sounds like you just weren't packing it right.n It shouldn't be loose enough to fall around or out if the wand is rotated.

As far as hot spots are concerned...that's why you have to stir the cannabis in your bowl up every hit or two. That's what gets rid of hot-spots. This Ditanium vape isn't going to be any different, I suspect. That's just how wand vapes like this work.

I mentioned the slope of the wand earlier...it's level. I usually end up with a hill of herbs that slopes down towards the heater. That shit bugs me, so I paid attention to it and didn't see any problem in use...sometimes I rotate it, but usually I just pull it off, stir and replace like normal. The ceramic heater is further from the herbs than with the 7th floor vapes, I think. The titanium nozzle creates some distance. I should mention I didn't find this to be a problem for the silver surfer either, so maybe it's more important to you than me.

I don't see capsules coming along. The titanium nozzle inserts into the wand and takes up most of the space. I keep trying to load less (I'm a hog) so it's further from the titanium.

There is a titanium attachment for the wand to use with concentrates. But since I prefer dry herbs or double-deckers, I just use the same wand for everything. Yes, I can be a lazy stoner.

Maybe I’m not understanding, but with a log vape your herbs are completely upsidedown over the heat path, right? So this should we way less likely to spill herb sideways then something that is held directly above the heater?

He's not comparing it to log vapes. he's comparing it to 7th floor vapes.
Ok. That makes more sense. Still though, if the flower stays in a stem while upside down for a log, wouldn’t it stay when only horizontal? Or is it because you pack the flower more loosely for this one? (Sorry if these are dumb questions. Trying to understand. This looks like an interesting system, and might be the route I go instead of a flowerpot.)

Whatever happened to this vape? I haven't heard much about it since it came out.
No one seems to be speaking out to brag about it now that they've had it for a bit. Was it another failure?

@Ramahs True.

Hmm. upon a quick search on youtube, there are a couple newer reviews up now too. One is Oct. 29th.

The desktop market is a little slow to establish a new brand, but we are being picked up by several distributors. There are several reviews available on the product now but would love to get more on FC. Puffitup.com is awesome site that has reviews and carries our products. Sneaky Peak is the man and has reviewed and (Vapenorth.ca) carries them, dabnation.com will be carrying them soon and vootra.co
