Recreational friends ask you for your meds?

There is no difference, I think sharing all those things is gross as hell.
I agree.

But socially at least people expect a joint to be passed around, and if I had a gigantic balloon it would indeed be odd to not share it (but I actually keep separate brand new balloons for guests to use to avoid this very issue should it arise with the volcano
Why not bring out the Volcano if you are around friends who would vaporize with you? ANother idea, is to have a cheap e-cig Cannabis pen, just for other people. I hate sharing things like that, too, but I'd keep an extra Volcano balloon, or a spare cartridge for my vape pen, if I was going to be around friends who I wouldn't mind sharing with.

I don’t want to conflate two separate issues though, so I’m glad you mentioned this – there is the sanitary issue and separately the social pressure that pot is generally to be shared. And if I was using it recreationally, I would share it freely. I guess I’m wondering if the social pressure should be different because I’m using it as medicine instead of for fun?
I know people use Cannabis for medical purposes, and some people ONLY use it for medical purposes, but that doesn't take away from the fact that it is very commonly used as a recreational drug.

It's not exactly the same, but if someone has a glass of wine at night to ease anxiety, their company would still see it as a glass of wine, and not a dose of medicine.

Perhaps, if you made Cannabis gel caps, and used those when you were around people, they wouldn't even know what it was. You could just pop one in the bathroom or something. With that in mind, you could also take a few vape pen rips in the bathroom as well, without anyone being aware of it.

Lol! Yes of course, and that is basically what I did. I didn’t say “no” directly, I just kind of laughed it off..

Yeah, on Monday I actually just had someone who was supposed to be coming over to help me out and I then realized that a bunch of my pain medication is now missing and the bottlecap is jammed on badly.

WTF is wrong with folks? :(

In addition to the fact that it’s illegal to share I signed a contract and agreed that I would not “share” my purchases with others. Lots of people sign contracts and take oaths and secretly (or publicly) violate the terms. Not me. I’m not going to do it.

That said, nobody has asked. I’m not that open about it. The people I associate with wouldn’t ask anyways.

I have only ever shared my medicine with other legal patients (legal in CA at least under Prop215/SB420).

I've taken my volcano to private parties of folks who have medical cards. In the volcano box I keep alcohol prep pads to keep the mouthpiece clean. And I offered the pads to anyone who wanted one, and everytime a bag came around to me I wiped it off with a prep pad. Mostly at my wife's insistence, lol.
If they are not someone that I would be willing to kiss on the lips, I decline and do without. No further explanation is necessary.

Now, when I used to smoke joints, I would hold the end of a social joint between my thumb and index finger. From there I would create a seal between my fingers and my lips and take a direct lung pull, avoiding clamping down on the spittle soaked end.

Both of these........glad I ain't the only one.

In Japan they do Groo socially. It's interesting seeing grown men in business suits passing a brown paper bag around with a twisted tube of airplane glue at the bottom.

You could always tell friends your medication is not fun, it's for your condition only, but would they like some righteous Tokyo Clear instead?

BTW, be aware, weed and speed are the two meds you cannot bring into Japan, regardless of prescriptions, paperwork, diplomatic status -- anything.

Honestly, if you leave out a container like that, that "he's got lots, he won't miss a couple" mentality is pretty common, applied to just about anything. You know, like that candy bar when we were kids. Now if he took more than a couple, he's a prime time asshole and I'd take it more seriously. In any event, best to keep what you need to keep out of sight.

Meh. If I only have enough to get my medicine, but not enough to share, then I tell them that and don't share.
If I have plenty extra, then share and share alike.

But, if anyone was to get pissy over me being low on material, they can just go f**k themselves. That type of behavior being continually repeated would result in my not having them around me at all any more.

I just found a bag of Butter Brothers Maple Nut Caramels. No expiration date, but they were purchased some time ago. Like in May, maybe June ... of 2014. I could donate them to a neighbor who smokes a lot, and see what happens. If not, he has dogs that seem in need of sedation. Which is better? Will I be a CNN Hero?

Sorry to hear that.

Want some Caramels?
They're unspoiled.
I just prefer Sativas.
No humor intended.

Really. I say some fucked up shit on occasion but talking about killing dogs is like child porn, IMO

I've been kicked off of other internet groups for responding to someone that indicated killing dogs.
I'm not advocating kicking anyone, but words need to be said. You don't do dogs like that. That's horrible.

Almost anyone on this forum should be aware of the effects cannabis has on dogs. That was a digusting comment.

To recap
To dose a dog or cat by accident .....accidents happen.
To dose any sentient creature intentionally (without their consent, that they cannot give)....a shitty thing happened.:myday:

I just got a spare tip for myself , Hit & pass it with New Tip.
Hardly use it anymore, love Shatter, Batter, Budder, live Resin.
Got to get rid of the Volcano thinking now, Got all the stuff for concentrates but don't really do weed except for company.

I didn’t leave it out in the open, he went into my bedroom and took the container out of the cabinet and took more than half the pills in it. I didn’t realize until he was already gone, and at that point he would deny it anyway, not worth the hassle but a sad lesson learned.

Yeeeaaaaahhhhhh....sounds like an ass-whoopin is deserved, which is sometimes the only option in a "my word against theirs" kinda situation where you can't really prove it.
That usually scares the thieves off enough to get them to stay away.
You just don't steal from someone like that.

I think the sharing comes more from the recreational side. But it can be very medicinal.
In most western places people are not allowed to give prescribed medicines away or even share. I would not like to give a prescribed pill away for security reasons anyway.
Cannabis can be different as it can connect people and promote healing experiences etc.

My biggest problem with sharing nowadays is that I am not sure I can find something with a similar medical effect.

People stealing your pills are thieves?
