@cybrguy, I'd like to get this straight in my mind once & for all. The US is 19/22mm. Is the ISO 19/26? And when you order an 18 or 18.8 joint is it US or ISO? Thank you.
You are correct that US is 19/22mm and ISO is 19/26mm long. The actual joint width of both of them is 18.8mm, but they are sometimes called 18 or 19 just as a shortcut. RBT products like the male joint 22mm or less. I think his using 19mm on some MALE stems (I haven't seen any) is just to be sure there is no chance of them being too long.

There are actually 3 different US standard joints, but the 19/22 is the most common and correct (for this application) one. (I almost didn't include this line but to be complete...)

Soooooooo is 420edc the only place in the known universe to buy an adapter with a 14mm male fitting?
To save me any further pain and suffering, googling for these things and scouring the descriptions for the right dimensions, can anyone point me to a European supplier to buy these odd sized stems or adapters from please? Or maybe one from further afield that ships to the UK? :sherlock:

I'm not sure exactly what you're looking for, but there's a good chance planetvape.ca has it: http://www.planetvape.ca/vaporizer-accessories/glass/adapters/

Thanks m8 but $27 + shipping + 20% tax on the cost of the adapter and the shipping + an $11 admin fee is just a shade over what I'm prepared to pay for an adapter at this point
(+ I think they're out of stock anyway as there's no way to add it to the cart)

These are the adapters I'm looking for primarily ...

I'm sure some medium stems would find their way to the cart if they have them too :)

It may be harder to find USA jointed adapters in the EU as they will tend to use the ISO (International Organization for Standardization) standard. I don't know why but almost all the items and adapters I have gotten with DHGate glass has been the US standard.
I assume you are looking for one of these?

Ebay works pretty well for this kind of item...

Ahhh so they do ship to the UK
It kept telling me they couldn't ship something in my cart to the UK earlier
and now it works when I add a small mouthpiece to the same order

I've been whipping it up with different diameter silicone tubing as a make shift adapter to connect to water pipes so far but I'm thinking a glass wotsit would be better and open up a few more possibilities like j hooks n things :sherlock:

Sorry for the double post

Yes - a Splinter to 14mm male adapter
I've tried a few long and short ones from eBay which I think equates to UK/US and a few 18mm bits from DDave too (that I use with all my other 18mm fittings) but even the shortest one touches the screen and needs a few mm grinding off the bottom or an o-ring or something fitting to be safe from harming the Splinter so I'm wary of ordering any more without knowing for sure they won't be the same.
I'm surprised there isn't an EU seller yet cos it is rather good with a whip or thro water or both :science:

It is easy enough to tell once you have it in front of you. The variable we are dealing with is the length of the male joint. If it is 22mm it is the US standard and will work fine. If it is any longer than that (the ISO standard is 26mm) it will be too long and not make a good seal on the 22mm female in the splinter/milaana/zion or will at least press against it. Because the female joint on RBT vapes terminates at fixed a screen, it is the maximum length a male joint can be. You can certainly ask a vendor or other seller, to measure the length of the joint you are ordering so there are no surprises. You are better off talking lengths anyway as many won't know what you are talking about with ISO/US.
If you can only find an ISO joint your alternatives are to find someone (or DIY) who can cut it down the 4mm (or maybe 5 for good measure) and anneal it (so it's not sharp) or to use some kind of oring or silicone sleeve to seal the joint and keep it from bottoming out. Personally I have zero interest in cutting glass myself.

Finding a proper US joint is the preferred option but ya gotta do what ya gotta do...

I suspect it wouldn't be cheap to get it to you but I have to plug @Oregonglassblower again. Everything I got from him for RBT stuff has been great. He'll make anything you want, just be sure to tell him you need the US joint.

@Summer

18.8 is the 'actual' OD, and as the first pic states some people round up to 19mm and some people round down to 18mm. (My personal experience is to only order from sites that list 18.8 or 19. I've ordered 18mm on Amazon, eBay, glass sites and they seemed to be smaller than 18.8mm. It could just have been bad luck, but when in doubt I now call/email.)

Yes the U.S. medium is 19/22mm while the ISO medium is 19/26mm as seen in the second pic.

Hope this clarifies once and for all. ✌

Sure. Where were YOU when I was deciding to get the RX 2/3? ;)

That sure is a pretty stem...

Do yourself the favor of buying that Smoant Charon Mini. (Features are a must if you want to vape oils without issue) with that get the ijoy avenger sub-ohm tank with the x3-mesh coils (although I'm sure the ijoy diamond tank with the dm-mesh coils will work too. )

The mesh was the key! I've been on a quest to be able to use my box mod with oil. Everyone who's tried knows where you maybe give up, or worse settle for the runs and leaks and just plain mess. Well when I saw the Ijoy company start advertising the x3-mesh coil I had to try because I was settling for my smok tfv8 baby with the v8 coils.

Epiphany! The mesh is absolutely the key. (Although I like the Ijoy tank because it doesn't leak even with e liquid.

So if you have the smoant charon mini (or ts) and the ijoy avenger sub-ohm tank with x3-mesh coil...

Set it to start at 25watts and just go down on the curve from there. Find your sweet spot for how you hit it. Maybe even lower wattage. When you have it right it a fresh bag of the dank in every hit.

Keep the oil thick! Thin it out at your own risk. My sh*t stands up. :)

Almost there...
Just wondered if anyone had seen this post from @RastaBuddhaTao?

I copied it from another forum.

Hey all you RBT peeps!

Wow, the last four months are a blur... working 24/7 some nights catching 4 hours of sleep in the car, some nights just working through. Decided to move home and set-up shop in my best friend Bruce's Pizza shop basement who died a week after I moved up. His brother John took over and let me stay. In the coming days the walls where created and the electrical run and with a new coat of paint RBT was alive again.

Custom glass designs where created and sourced to a sub-par manufacture in China... plan B landed on expensive German glass that required added labor to cut and polish. In the mix the XL8R was created to add a cooling mouthpiece and a vaporizer to the RBT line-up. After struggling to make them myself do to less than professional set-up a local glass blower was hired who made more bad than good... back to RBT making them by hand. A woodworker was unable to produce the wood in a timely manner (if you don't have the volume, you will not get the attention) so wood working was completed on the first 100 Splinters by RBT in a very wasteful and inefficient manner. This was good enough to get the first 50 Splinters out to the US waitlist. Wood is now being produced by an Ace shop but it cost 5X the Chinese quote... just like the glass. But, it was the only way to make to make it happen. So, the wait list for Splinter was a painful ordeal but it is now complete. Similar added work and cost was required to get the heavy wall German glass into Mi2 but it got done and units are shipping this week.

Other work of notable mention was the new custom 510 fitting, upgrading the mouthpiece to thick glass to aid cooling and make it more robust, and the making of a proper manual and warranty card. In the end, the cost of the Splinter is way out of line with with what was planned. This gives way to a situation that selling units to retailers for 50% off of MSRP (standard deal with any retailer) RBT would loose money. So, if you make a handmade product in the US, you have to sell direct in order to keep the 50% or MSRP required by Most retailers (80% of profit margin) or you cannot survive. However, selling only direct in a niche somewhat illegal 'drug paraphernalia' market there is no sales volume. Thus, RBT is caught between a rock and a hard place.

With retailers there is volume, but no profit. With selling direct there is no volume but there is potential for profit. This is assuming that you are making something in America for 5X the cost of China goods as my quotes suggest. Basically it is a loose / loose situation as direct sales are currently in the single digits per week. So, there are two possible outcomes for RBT. One is that all of you passionate supporters help spread the word from now until 8/12 that there is a 10% sale on everything in the RBT store using the code RBTCHINA and sufficient sales happen to stay full time on RBT allowing me to have the time to work with the great China company (who made the current 510 fitting) to produce and authorized reproduction (heater installed and tested US)... or Two which is I sell the last 100 Mi2 and 100 Splinter while I exit RBT and get a real job again lol.

This has been a great learning experience of the realities of the business world from starting out with the Z-Team in 2014 on FC, through selling direct and getting kicked off of PayPal, to designing several www's and linking them to high risk banks that keep 10% of my money, to realizing that VapeFiend could sell some Splinters but that I am loosing money and creating more work for RBT with every one they sold, to now coming to the reality that even with Splinter, Mi2 and the XL8R there still is 1/25 the volume required to stay in the black. If I can survive to make one more step into cost effective manufacturing to RBT specifications I believe RBT could reach sustainability but with near zero sales this is seeming to be the end of the road.

When I started this I thought if I spend my life savings and can't make it work I have a degree from RIT and 20 year career working for the best alternative energy companies in the world... I can always go back and get a job. I have worked hard and did the best that one man could do and I left it all on the track... but the rubber is burnt, and the tires are slipping, and it looks like this is the last pit stop. Thanks to all that helped support this crazy dream and providing me the support to go all out on a crazy mid-life crisis expedition. For as much as it is a colossal failure... man that was a ripping good time.

Was searching around for another mod for my Splinter and I Heat and stumbled onto a decent deal for that Steam Punk looking mod with the DNA75 chipset.

Vapeman Steam Engine

I sprung for the fast 3-7 day dhl shipping for a $51.00 total.

Never heard of this Site, looking like in Hong Kong. Lot of really good deals in their clearance section.

These are now sold out so this doesn't help, but I think they were just getting rid of bad stock. Mine arrived with a dead display which is apparently a common fault of the first production run of these. I asked them to replace or refund and they asked for a video showing the problem and a photo of the bar code on the box...

It's as nice as it looks but the battery cover is a PITA.

Thanks @Summer, you made me browse the site again and I stumbled on this:

"Damaged heater screens - The use of 19/26 mm joints (most common standard) instead of the shorter 19/22 (less common standard) or the latest 19/19 (custom RBT that has a 19 mm ground joint - 7 mm shorter than the 26 mm long 19/26 and 3 mm shorter than the 19/22)

Over temperature Splinter - Splinter has a max wattage of 50 watts and a maximum on-time of 30 seconds - Exceeding these conditions voids warranty

Over temperature Milaana - Milaana has a max wattage of 50 watts and a maximum on-time of 30 seconds - Exceeding these conditions voids warranty"

Two things: first as I suspected (and if I'm not reading that wrong) the new super short custom size (19/19) seems to be for male joints. The female inside the devices stays the same 19/22. The new size will allow more safety margin and using thicker screens / top hats.

Secondly I didn't invent the over temperature condition when we discussed cruise mode while in wattage mode: even if it doesn't damage your device it voids your warranty... (well, if there's no damage there's no way to prove you exceeded the conditions so... will be hard to enforce)

Sorry yours arrived with a faulty display, I guess do what you got to do for a refund. My Steam Engine arrived fine and is well worth the $35 for this particular mod. Wattage mode is awesome and my I Heat is on that right now. The DNA75 is still a bit spotty on recognizing the Splinter as a temp sensing coil, though.

So for the last week, my Splinter has been on the Evic mini that has the latest Funky Junky firmware loaded. I wanted to use the Tubo setting cause I'm so familiar with that mod interaction. Simple on demand, the cruise mode, and the ability to change temps during cruise.
After a week of fine tuning the coil, I've got it so the Splinter will heat to the temps that are set.

In the Manage Coil screen, I've locked the Tubo coil in at .212, ymmv, and have set the power to 30 watts. Now I set the desired temp I want, then can do on demand, or double click and enter cruise with the ability to lower or raise temp during cruise with the +/- buttons and escape cruise with the fire button. Awesome. Really stoked at how this is performing now.

So @KeroZen cruising in Temp mode like this, where the wattage drops and rises to maintain the set temperature is relatively safe and will not lead to the over temps that happen when cruising in wattage or even hitting on demand too long in wattage. Correct?

Screen shots, on the left is resting face, on the right is when cruise is active.

I have been lurking here. (I read all 86 pages in the last two weeks!) I placed my order and it is sitting at my house as we speak. I ordered it this past Sunday, so for what it's worth it doesn't appear that he closed up shop quite yet.

I am very excited to check it out, I ordered the Wismec RX 2/3 by Jaybo. I got this mod based on all the great results I have seen from @AJS !

The only thing I cannot get a clear answer on is what stem size I will be getting in the Splinter. (19/19 or 19/22) So, I will pull out my digital calipers when I get home and post the result of that measurement. I am really hoping I got the 19/22 as it seems impossible to find 19/19 products out and about.
