For use with the Aromed I'd ever have a look at the joint connection of your desired piece. It's not a question of stable stand alone. Don't forget there often is a bit of side/uneven pressure by the Aromed heater/goose neck. If the joint has just a thin glass connection it could break with ease.

Does anyone know where you can still purchase an Aromed replacement bowl? I have looked everywhere, but no one in the US seems to have them in stock anymore. I even tried to order from R&E directly, but they never responded to me.

Thank you for checking! I really appreciate it, however it does not seem to be available from either of these sites. On VaporizerChief there is no Add to Cart button like there is for every other one of their products. On VaporizerGalaxy the Add to Compare link gives a 404 page not found error. I think both of these are old pages that can only still be accessed due to Google still indexing their direct links. I've spent over an hour searching every site I could find, but these bowls do not seem to be available in the US anymore... :(

All replacement parts are available at VDNM.
They've 3 different bowls in stock.
But shipping is pretty expensive - 35€ to the US!

Thank you! I went ahead an ordered from VDNM. 52€ for shipping...ouch! I ordered 4 bowls so I have plenty of backups now :). Always good to know about other potential suppliers though so thanks for your response.

Damn, just left the aromed 4.0 at my sis, came home set up my new arrived VDN bubbler (not superthick glass like the Ehle AKW but pretty perfect size and super stable socket) installed a new bulb at the old aromed, loaded a bowl, turned the switch and nothing :uhoh: just the usual little transformer noise and the display working normal but no light :(
Over 2 hours i tried troubleshooting, looking inside for defects (the electronic parts are really well built btw), cleaning the socket, wiggling with the neck and finally the light came on a bit and went off again, so i thought it's the cables in the neck / socket connection - but i just loosened a tiny twist with the whole white lamp socket against the neck and the light started working again like nothing happened :clap::rockon: i'll probably look deeper into that - later, the first working testbowl was so much more satisfying than without the troubles :lol: finally :sherlock:

yea, it's a good home i'll visit now even more often - rooftop in amsterdam centraal :D
Got also a new short bowl, to preserve the vintage ;) - a bit different shape, the original is more round at the bottom and looks better quality imo
Now to finish i just need to decide between showerhead and 6 arm diffuser downstem... :lol:

My friend, I've said it Plenty (pardon the pun) of times previously, but let me restate the obvious, yet again!
The AROMED 4.0 is one of the best 'open secrets' out there, ask any real peeps in the know, they'll all tell you, that when it comes to actual vapor quality, it's only known rival would be the One Above All! (aka The VOLCANO DIGIT):bowdown:

When it comes to regular desktop vapes, (not the sublimator, etc) then this is the terminus - cos there ain't no more stops after this one!;)

It has Outstanding Quality, get me right, it has a few finicky things, that I don't like but then again, so do most vapes, however, once you've developed your own technique, then this appliance is amongst the very best of the best for output quality, the only limiting factor would be the quality of your herb!:sherlock:

I always wanted to try this vape, watching the Halogen lamp glow on demand as the herb shrinks and browns has to be a treat. An oldie but goody, glass on glass with a water tool! If I could rent it for a month;
I would love to experience it.

sometimes I'm actually disappointed with the vapor production of the Aromed simply because it seems like its not extracting enough. However, the gentleness of the hits, flavor, even ABV, and potency of the high remind me that big clouds and coughing are not good benchmarks of a great vaporizer.

Man I hate it when you post in this thread!!
Always makes me find my Aromed 4.0, clean it and have a few sessions!!
It is a great vape but I think there is still some room for improvement in the design.

A smaller bowl would be awesome for small loads, a halogen bulb that fits perfectly in the herb chamber without all the extra space around the sides and an easier mounting system with maybe a break in the goose neck to make placing it on the bowl easier for a seal.
I would imagine this would also boost performance!

Yep, performance of the goose neck is the bottleneck in use. Therefore I'm using a short bowl paired with a water tool of choice only. MUCH easier to use than fiddling the heater into the wobbly attached original water tool in the right angle.

the recreational herb holder thats now available probably works better and one of these days I'll buy one... I agree that the goose neck and mount onto the glass could be improved but fortunately I'm still using the original glass which has never broken. Sorry to make you dig out and use the Aromed :)

I think the spacer mod made by forum member " steph" on page 36 would also be great. I would love to get one of those...
