I have the jcat mod for the SV3 to function with an enail and while that has always performed great I removed and scraped all the old silicone off the heater and reseated my thermocouple and am now able to seat it securely into a 18mm f/18mm male adaptor. I have a large screen set up underneath and can lay down some herb and holy crap am I happy with how this has turned out. The new silicone tubing makes a great seal and I can either use my sv3 with the original stem I received which is different than the OG stems so while I can’t wait to try @JCat’s stems out I am really stoked to simply be using it with the 18f/18m adapter with a screen. I have tried 3 different adaptor setups but I’ve settled on one being my favorite because it extracts incredibly even, and can hold a pretty large amount of herb. 445 is producing large thick clouds that I need to tackle over 6 or more hits. I’m going to try normal doses in it soon and I think it’ll perform equally well! Love watching the herb cook in front of my eyes for some reason lol.

445 is kind of high temp. With that heat, thick clouds should choke your ass out! LOL .
445f. converts to 229c. and I've never been over 200c. Might check that high temp hit right before going to bed! Maybe a micro hit?

Yep, with flowers 190c max and that just the last hit(s). I ever start around 170-175°C. Excellent flavour and more vapour than enough for my sensitive respiratory system.
@virtuallpurple I don't know excactly what you are speaking about regarding the the new silicone tubing. Do you mean the intake tube at the heater or the selaing silicone ring at the lower oart of the stem?

And what do you mean with OG stems and JCat stems? I don't know about stems made by him.
Would appreciate some pics for clarification if possible.

What temps are you folks running with your jcat mod? I've only briefly played with mine but I wasn't getting satisfying hits at normal temps but I didn't get to test much.

Indeed it is! 445 is generally where I top out at when it’s bedtime and I need to try and float away to dreamland! 445 definitely isn’t in my daytime norm (I tend to float between 370-390 if I consume during the day), but sometimes I want try and produce the densest clouds possible just for grins.

Sorry, the new silicone tubing I was referring to is for the lower part of the heater. The tubing that was on prior extended lower but was also old and showing wear so I stripped the tubing and removed the little stand that housed the old thermometer that came with the SV3.

Now the stem that I currently have is metal and ends in a 18m male connection. I will try and find where I posted it in the forum, but it is not stock.

@JCat has made some of his own stems which are posted in his thread in the vape related equipment section. I ordered a few but have not picked them up yet, though I can’t wait to try them!

I run anywhere between 370 and 445. What sort of enail controller do you have and are you using the PID settings that Jcat has posted for his high 5 controller? Find that I get best results if I let the temperature stabilize after putting the sv3 onto the stem.

Pics please!

I will try and snap some to post this evening!

Almost there...
what is the price? they are available right now? How is it compared to the GS?

Not sure on the price as there are various options.
I would go bare bones and add a trusted coil and controller, needs a flat coil.
They are available right now.

Compared to the GS it is less airy for me, the hits are shorter and denser and more flavorful for me.
The SV4 is my DD while the GS is an occasional vape.
I also use my SV4 differently... Head over to the SV4 thread and check it out!

It will be interesting reading, i promise! LOL!

Quiet in this thread ... :)

Just thought I'd chime in here as I decided to plug in my SV3 w/ Electric Mod this morning, for a change having some flower (as I've been almost exclusively rosin and some CO2 oil) ... definitely a superb flower vape! Also had a nice hit of rosin through some Japanese organic cotton, and the flavour is definitely outstanding! Using my custom stems as well :)

Overall glad to have this vape although I don't use it often :)

@JCat, dam' your SV3 mod is still standing on my VAS list. Fortunatly it's getting smaller after the BFS and the mod climbs up pretty much. Do you still offer them - at least on demand?
I don't really ... I have one left on hand (apart from the one I am currently using), and enough material to make a couple more at least ... so I would potentially make more, but honestly they are in a lot of ways too much work for the amount I make on them! (ie. if I make them it is more as a favour then about any profit ... for you @Hogni I suppose I would make one ... )

That's how I roll. Is there any benefit to the SV4 over this one with @JCat 's electric mod?
Ask @lazylathe , he will tell you they are still 2 different beasts. The SV4 is his daily driver, and on a solid perch at that for many months now.

Not to knock @JCat 's superb creation which has made very many members here happy. But Lazy us adamant there is a substantial performance difference.

The SV4 is still king on my desk! I do use it differently to the intended way, 100% convection.
Something has been changed inside the SV4 as it's resistance is different to the SV3.
The stem is also considerably shorter.

@JCat mod does a fantastic job and I will play some more with it once settled but the SV4 just works differently. Hit for hit the SV4 is just stronger at a lower temp for me.
But Hey, it's me...LOL! Vapes are so personal, just like you and the Herbo Ti.

I have also bought a good few new vapes since the SV4 and they get knocked off after about a week.
Nothing that I have tried can match it's extraction power of such small loads with amazing flavor.
