I have used the LSV with water once... for the above video.
I have never since used it with water... so tastes do vary!
I have always felt the LSV was for those who preferred hot dry hits, with thick rich flavor.
I have not enjoyed usiong water filtration in an adult lifetime, yet the LSV is a regular in my rotation.
Not in disagreement with your favorite method, @I'm Ron Burgundy? ... ( and @Vapin in the usa )
Different strokes for different folks!
I hated water until 2012
Joints were my thing in Hawaii.1970
BonG's had too big of a mouthpiece for me.
Da
LSV is best with water path 4 my needs?

Wish i could part take dry?

Water every session these daz's

Awhile back I pressed my LSV into the role of a dry vape, I ripped off the Nanos adjustable screen design using a ddave stem and it worked fairly. The LSV has always been my favorite tinker toy vape.

Why would anyone prefer a hot, dry hit?? Lol

I literally used it dry maybe 2-3 times and quickly realized that was not its best function. Although I did buy it specifically for vapor bonging.

But hey to each his own. Vape on :peace:

To save flavor. You will always lose terpenes/flavor at a higher level through water than dry.

Have to say, I disagree on both counts.

For me, water makes a massive (negative difference) to flavour.

Also, I have always used the LSV dry. If it is harsh, you need a bigger glass chamber
To each his own. I find it too hot and harsh dry...even with the long stem. But I like cranking it up and getting everything I can leaving the abv dark brown.

I could see it working ok dry if you vape at low temps.
Personally I notice little change in taste with water...my bubbler is small so not a very long air path. :2c:

I used to hit my DaBuddha without the hose by just holding it up to my face and hitting the glass wand directly while it's in the vaporizer. Hitting the LSV has to be similar. Of course, I like to use my Woodscents Log vape with the dry stem, and I set the dial on 9.5 out of 10 (most people use it at 6.0 - 7.5). So, maybe I just like hotter vapor than others. I know that I like a bit of "throat bite" when I take a hit.

But yeah, any water at all and I notice a reasonable difference in flavor. If the glass piece has multiple percolators, then even more flavor is lost. There are a lot of lower-temp terpenes that will condense out of the vapor and as soon as the temperature difference in the water hits it.

Does anyone know of a great way to micro dose with the lsv just using the stock bowl,no elb in a male joint or similar setup. My friend has a lsv, actually had it for 5+years ZERO issues ,and hitting KT makes me want one LOL. Since having the enano using smaller amounts and getting large clouds is just the ticket for me .maybe I'm asking too much from the lsv so thought I'd check in here with this thread .any thoughts ? Maybe a basket style screen that covers the bottom area of the bowl ?

@DDave has mods for the lsv.
Also.. I have microdosed, by just using a tiny pinch in the transfer wand. I get the heat up there and can do as tiny a pinch as needed (although I enjoy "filling her up" to the top!)

Geez...completely forgot for a second that lsv has all the power in the world he he. Enano and lsv are very similar ,maybe not in design and looks, but nevertheless function similar to each other.
Makes me want to get one ....but I already have enano and flowerpot on the way ...VAS is so real. Support group to the rescue

I use two (Arizer EQ style) basket screens (I believe the larger one was from ddave) one inside another with herb sandwiched between them and that inserted into the male opening of the glass wand. It works brilliantly for microdosing. I also use an 18mm male to male adaptor with bubblers and just the one basket screen on top for easy access for stirring, which works very nicely.

Very much so. I'm a flavour chaser and with very small amounts (perhaps just enough to cover the bottom of the larger basket screen) I often use it as a one hitter starting at approximately 11 o'clock trying to sense when the terps are stripped, then halting my inhalation and normally getting an enormous flavourful cloud. If I then want to finish it off I might give the bowl a little stir perhaps turn up to about 12 o'clock, which normally gives another big cloud albeit a bit toastier in flavour.

If the basket sandwich is too small an amount then sometimes instead I will put slightly more herb in the glass transfer wand and tamp it down against the screen with the glass of the pick . This seems to hold it in place but I also cap off the wand with a basket screen to prevent any potential bits from falling onto the screen in the heater cover.

When I've filled or half filled the transfer wand it has only been with hemp or non-psychoactive herbs (chamomile, peppermint etc.), I tend to keep my tolerance pretty low so for weekend consumption I tend to have multiple hits spread between different vapes.

Finger hovering tension rising............shizzles.
So the e nano rocks but the life saber is calling me.
Would having a lsv and a nano be silly OR is it actually scientifically necessary?

Could be either. Lsv is way more open restriction wise compared to enano,so easier on the lungs. They both can be used for very small amounts but IMO the lsv can do larger bowls with ease.
Also easier to use differnwt glass on the lsv as it the glass heater fits 18 male. I'd say pick one up used if money is tight or go ahead and buy new if not. Also (IMO) flavor is a tad better on lsv. More glass.
