Canada to legalize in Spring 2017!

I sure wouldn’t want random roadside testing where I live. It’s going to create a lot of paranoid cannabis users. That’s when twitter users will come in handy warning folks where not to go if you use weed.

Given the roadside THC testing amendments, keeping tolerance as low as possible should be a good goal to aspire to. I imagine that if I am able to keep my consumption down, less cannabinoids will be in my system at any time.

Will it be possible to microdose throughout the day and stay under the 2ng radar?

I dont know for sure but here is a little bit to read regarding the problem

https://www.google.ca/amp/s/m.mic.c...thc-blood-tests-work-and-what-you-should-know

I read a couple studies that i cant find again to link to at the moment but they show how levels went up really high incomparison to the 2 or 5 nanograms that law makers have chosen as the set limits of impairment.

I read that levels go up to like 100 and maybe more nanograms about 5 or 10 min after smoking . but then quickly drop back down to under the limits they have set after a few hours . again this is not what happens for reglar users though . we could be walking around after 5 days abstantince with 5 nanograms in our blood .

I dont know why they have them set so low at 2 or 5 nano grams when the levels go up so high in comparison to shortly after .

why not set the limit at 15 nanograms this might protect the avid user while still being really small amout compared to the 100 nanogram that levels go up to for a while after

As far as micro dosing to try and aviod the problem . i dont know but it sounds like if you use everyday even micro dosing your body would still store thc in your fat cells . and well i consider my self a microdoser. , but i dont think i would pass a breath test or blood test because i have been using cannabis for a long long time and bet my baseline is over even on days i dont even use .

On top of that i have anxity and now i will be even more pariniod that if i get pulled over for any reason it wont be a far stretch to imagine the cop asking why you look so nervous man lol even if i had not had any cannabis for a day . then what happens he thinks im stoned cuz i maybe acting wierd then the breath test then bingo big fine and god forbid an accedient even if not my fault breath comes back 5 or 6 o7 or maybe even 10 nanograms im fucked .

They are trying to look at it they way they do with alcohol and it just dosnt work like that .

The only hope is that they come up with something like a saliva test that truly looks at weather the person has used in the last say 3 hours rather then measuring blood concentration through breathalizers.

Then if its determind the person has used within the last few hours then check the blood levels but even this is flawed because cannabis impairment is so different then alcohol in my oppinion

I don't think we have good data on this yet. Some suggest that regular consumption even of small amounts will raise out baselines, but I don't know how high. I think to make this reasonably accurate they are going to have to raise the threshold of "impaired" to something higher that 5ng or we may always show as "impaired". Like 20ng or something like that. Apparently for an hour or so after consumption our numbers should be like 100ng so a number like 20 makes a lot more sense.

(Post above mine has much better info. Should have read it before posting)

This is my greatest fear.

The tech is in it's infancy so well have to see how this goes...

I will try and find the study i found and link it but it showed thc levels going up to over 100 ng after somking weed with 1.7 % thc and 3 . something .

so its tottaly rediculas with the strains people will be smoking . might as well say dont drive for a week after using, even if your not a med user

real testing will be needed lest they get sued... testers will need to have on the spot levels of detection ( active thc not metabolized THC-COOH)

I'm up at my second home in northern Newfoundland. None of the local merchants made it on to the retailing list for the fall, in part because the most likely store already has a provincial booze license, which caused the mj authority to reject his bid. So even when retail really happens, it will be 300 miles away in Corner Brook. Anyway, none of the retail opens until the fall. After all the great stuff I've been getting back in the states via Craigslist in Maine and an old friend in Mass, I refused to settle for the local drug dealer's Mafia compressed and frozen brick crap. I had to head down to Corner Brook for other errands and I googled to see if anyone was selling there. There was a new on-line shop/delivery service, so I called the guy and arranged to meet-up in the parking lot of one of my errand stores. I was a bit nervous, as its still illegal and I could lose my ability to cross the border if I were arrested for any reason. Also wondered if it might just be a rip off or a sting, though with it becoming legal soon, I thought that probably wasn't the best use of RCMP resources or enough money to make it worth it for a criminal. The on-line shop advertised several strains, gummy bears, and oil. I ordered three strains and some oil. The guy showed up on time and we did our exchange and chatted for a bit. He believes that the RCMP has better things to do than to crack down on small operators like him and his partner in Moncton. I tried the Girl Scout Cookies(also got Bubba Kush and Pink Kush) when I got home--seemed very strong. What an abundance of riches we are having as I become an old man.

...more of a random thought...

...at least Ontario did something right for once imo.. they chose the word cannabis over marijuana for their stores... I've always prefered cannabis.. maybe the later seemes to have a more negative connotation to it...

Salutations,

Quite frankly i'm with those who expect the worse. Harper installed/developed/exploited the "medical" vs "criminal" BIPOLAR ideology which too few persons would still question today, then MiniPET evoked the "science" of his BIPOLAR (& ex-stoner...) mother to "laygaleeze", unable to resist the urge to partly build his electoral campaign on a failure to translate in good time "incidental possession" to "possession simple" for my province (he manipulated public opinion using the language barrier on purpose and more).

In the year 2018 vulnerable patients in pain continue to tolerate being taken hostage by an artificial discriminatory system emanating from public institutions determined to pile up legal signatures in support of more contaminated statistics, etc., while those same patients feel like sueing LPs in courts over BANNED pesticides...

M'well, under Harper the "medical" grade "shit" even sold as whole grind plants sterilized by exposure to cobalt-60 ionizing radiation. In comparison now we only need to fear the ghost of myclobutanil - and tomorrow we'll most likely have to worry about "bio-markers" turning us flluorescent under UV light!...

Go figure what more surprises will follow knowing a minority behaves as a majority in parliament!

It's cynically called democracy while our country is taken over by opportuni$t predator$...

lections_F_d_rales_-_Mini_sondage_CTV_2015-_Sep-9.png

Of course they'll never mention the basic idea of a popular "REFERENDUM" on cannabis - A Mari Usque Ad Mare. It would be too easy even a billion $ or 2 later...

Now tell me it wasn't Liberal instrumentation when the Joy Davies (South Surrey/White Rock) incident occured, going from a political stand which appeared to claim « Justin's with us! » to « Hell he's not!! ».

:hmm:

At most the future/shamed British Columbia candidate simply pointed a finger at contradictions of science - and she's been just in the right spot to comment as her own kid received cannabis oil to deal with cancer:

o-JOY-DAVIES-570.jpg

No wonder Trudeau's Liberals let her in, at 1st...
Then once confusion climaxed (...) Joy Davies was publicly shamed and forced to stand down, with Liberals against her for positions relative to those below:

« There is NO HARM in our children being in a home where cannabis is growing. The fact that law enforcement and government rip children out of the arms of their parents that grow pot is the HARM. » (FaceBook, 2013-Apr-21)

...

« doctors are not educated enough »

« The harm that has happened to families is a harm caused by bad laws, by people not researched, by propaganda, by stigmatism, by families being ripped apart »

« The children of the mothers who used it during pregnancy had higher IQs and were better socially established than the children whose mothers didn't »
An exception? Nope, actually Joy Davies is only 1 of the multiple political "messages" sent by those $elf-$erving Liberals since their election in Ottawa. Who knows if the warriors of cap'tain Itnoc wouldn't dare to repeat such a dirty trick again?!...

:worms:

After all, what politician ever cared to complain when Trudeau sent Hilary Geller as Canada's emissary to the UN in preparation of UNGASS 2016?... What liberal honestly believed "Stoner$"/"Droÿé$" would be "pleased" by the nomination of Bill G20 Blair, and/or the extradition of Michael Woods and Gaëtan Dinelle to serve life sentences, and/or the murder in disguise of Bony Jean-Pierre by Christian Gilbert??

« Evidence presented during Gilbert's preliminary hearing, which began in February, is subject to a publication ban until it is presented in court during a trial. No date has been set for that trial to start. »

Euh... Still no date a couple years later. :shit:

N.B.: For details search for La C.R.A.P.'s version instead:

Mourir d’une bavure policière à Montréal-Nord

« Le gars n’était pas armé, n’avait rien sur lui. Lorsqu’il était à terre, les policiers l’ont fouillé et n’ont rien pris »
In a system of law the citizens should be able to expect the use of disproportional force to be fully investigated. Instead our national propaganda organ prefers to show burning cars... Here goes democracy!

:rip:

Which reminds me of more corner-stone names, as high-profile UN insider Louise Arbour (and peers) who went critical on the mediatic place only 3 weeks after this mortal "incident", e.g. the very next day after UNGASS 2016 (which was scheduled to occur on a "4-20", no joking!)...

Meanwhile Justin prefered to have a selfie session sending yet another ambivalent message:
After that the we saw Kevin Sabet and Nora Volkow as guests in the Halloween period at a low-profile "science" gathering on the "addiction" problem, at hotel Marriott/Mtl with 80 gurus just like them i guess:
Euh... Honestly. Trudeau on *OUR* side?? C'mon dear TrudeauManiacs, think again! :bang:

« ...the current prohibition stands. ... ...we're not legalizing marijuana to please recreational users... »
And that's not the last bit of it. Lets just remind ourselves which colour was chosen for our new Canuck "marijuana" logo!
In pure bigot anti-cannabic prohibitionist tradition, perfected since Henri-Sévérin Béland - with ZERO LOVE and no compromise...

All the fuss for nothing! LOL!
No Ontario Cannabis Stores in Ontario, so all the groundwork done was for naught.
Now it is in private owners hands with buying product from the Ontario Government, smart move!
The less they have to do with it the better in their minds, they will kindly take the taxes generated from it.

This may be a good thing and a bad thing though...
Who is going to police these private stores to ensure they are only selling government supplied cannabis?
I see the grey market flourishing under this system and that there will still be illegal dispensaries throughout the province.

Tick, tock, tick, tock October 17 is coming soon!

...one thing that i find kind of fucked up with this is your only aloud 30g possession in 'public' spaces... therefore your only aloud to buy an ounce at a time...

Adults are allowed to carry up to 30g of dried cannabis (or its equivalent) in a “public space”, which means that’s all you can buy at any one time. Note that “public space” includes your personal vehicle. If you’re caught out in public with more than 30g, you can face up to five years in prison.

...what i find odd is, why? what is the purpose? i can go out and buy a lethal amount of alcohol and od :o ... but i'm going to be limited to an oz of pot?... and 5 years in prison :whoa: :mental: .... i wonder what was the thought process behind that decision...

...the government wants to limit your fun... nothing new :D

...but seriously, i dont get the logic...

EDIT: ...had a budy kill a lady and fucked her daughter up in a DUI and he spent lessthan 2 full years behind bars... like wtf??? two oz's get's you five years... bazaar...

It's the government remember?? These are the people who are looking out for us, the end user!! LMAO!!
You can buy 30g/day for a whole year but can only have 30g on you if you walk outside your house.

Also remember that alcohol is a LOT safer than cannabis, as all of our wonderful politicians believe.
The legalization of pot in Canada was done for one purpose, flood the government with all of our extra income, that is it. Ontario has thrown a wrench in the works though and we are still waiting for their decision...

Repeat after me:
The government is my friend
The government is my friend
The government can suck my balls
The government can bleach my asshole
The government can shove their weed
We already have better and cheaper suppliers!

... @lazylathe , i've been saying all along they had a great idea, but no execution...

...since we first heard about canada going legal they have push back the date a couple times and changed distribution models... i wouldn't be surprised if this is all changed again by october 17th or April 1 (maybe just a bad april fools joke??)...

...i think the biggest factor that has been causing delays so far has been due to the fact they DO NOT have an accurate road side test for impairment, from what i've read its 'impossible' regardless of what some companies claim... they need an accurate road side test before they go live...

...either way, until it's live, i don't believe anything said...
