Sup baloon heads,

I just broke out my Volcano after strictly dabbing for 6-7 month time.

Not updated on the current desktop-vape situation,

Is the FlowerPot really the end of the Volcano "Reign?" ? :D

LOL! You’re just throwing that lit match onto the wood pile, aren’t you?

By the way, does anyone have a classic volcano that they would be interested in trading for a digital volcano?

Been using a flowerpot for like 28 hours now, and because its still new I''m not touching my volcano much but I don't see it replacing my volcano outright. especially with my mods I'm planning on setting up for the volcano next week when I get my china glass. Definitely different beasts. When I have friends over now who combust I'll definitely use the FP. The FP will extend the life of my volcano though.

I do not think you were using your volcano correctly.
I hear a lot of people talk about loading up a 1/2 gram into the chamber or easy valve. This is way too much.
Put in 100mg. if you have weed which is 15% thc then you will get a bag with about -+ 15 mg of thc. Maybe a little less. Point is the volcano is very efficient. You don’t have to fill it and you do not need to run it at max temp.

I get great effects and flavor. 50mg per bag.

My bags do not get nasty either. Btw if you buy the bag material direct it’s really cheap and you can make custom sizes.

Too bad you gave up before learning the best way to operate the Volcano.

Good luck

How old is it?
I will also say I love my volcano which found in a dumpster by accident I’m guessed by it was a unkind girlfriend made him toss it. I sent it to s and b they fixed a switch told me the blower was slow. I used it until it died and s and b sold me another really cheap. The volcano pays for itself.

That brush is awesome, even better than the one I got I think. I’m going to buy it now. I just ended up getting a half inch natural bristle paintbrush from the hardware store, but it’s not perfect.

The volcano digit is three years old, but now it just had an issue where I was filling a balloon and the machine completely died, like it didn’t even have the little light that shows it was plugged in. I unplugged it and plugged it back in and it flashed some kind of code that was too fast for me to see and now it seems like it’s heating up again. We’ll see what happens, but I’m certainly not going to trade this to someone now that it might possibly have an issue. Anyone know what might’ve happened? It’s only been on for about three hours, and I usually have it on much longer than that…

oh lol i didnt think about that xD

I def see the "two beasts" perspective, after getting back to ripping my volcano here for a couple of days..
What i like about Volcano contra dabbing, is the "ease" of use aspect, lying down, or even in the shower, its no problem. When glass is involved i often feel restricted to keep my rig on a table etc.

Also: I currently blessed to be in possession of both a analog and a digi, but i do feel that the digi delivers a little different hit? Anyone els or am i just going crazy haha, btw : the analog is serval years older than the digi

Never used a classic, but i think that's the same hit, the difference is more accurate temperature control (not only thanks to the digital screen but also because of the volcano type itself) and auto shut off

I noticed a difference it it the 18 degree f. temperature fluctuation the analog goes through.

Shoot, I literally have the classic in my cart waiting to hit the purchase button and I figured I’d check in here first…

What fluctuations??? I hate the automatic shut off on the digital so much that I was planning on giving it to my sister and buying the classic instead. Now it sounds like that would be a big mistake?

What difference are you experiencing?

I gave my digital away because of the auto shutoff...........that and a digital screen.
Classic old style analog won for me in The end.

Any regrets at all?

So does anybody know if there is some kind of workaround to KILL the automatic shut off? Even if it would involve opening up the machine and fiddling a little bit, that would be OK…

The classic uses a bi-metallic strip thermostat. They have a on and off trip point. In this case there is a 18 degree spread from where the heater turns off and when it turns back on again. I have never had an issue with it. I have both digi and classic and they both work great.

For me it was. I used a Volcano Classic for many years as a daily driver on 16 hours a day. IMO the FP is quite a bit more versatile, as it has more power than the Cano, and can vaporize hashes and extracts much better whether via conduction or convection.

The Volcano is still a very solid session vape though for flowers, but it just can't do a true one hitter like the FP IMO. I agree with @Vitolo that they fill different roles. The homogenized flavors of a bag vape are very unique as far as session vapes go, and to me tastes better than other types of session vapes where the flavors continually degrade, like an Arizer.

I’m sure I’m not alone but I wait for the heater to kick on to blow balloons with the classic. So it starts on the low end of the temperature window but ramps up to the high end by the time the balloon is filled. Full spectrum balloons. :)
