hemp fiber link one / not sure if that's the best for this, large quantity, I'm trying it out.
hemp fiber link two/ small quantity, but I've used this before and it's good.
Both are the same item :) and so expensive to boot j/k. For under 2 bucks figured why not and ordered.

Just watched the entire video. Great story. I am blown away. Ironically, I'm a certified / registered medical marijuana user in New York state. I'm actually waiting on my registration card so I can make my first trip to the dispensary. To bring this back into topic, still no flower in NYS, but I plan to add a drop of oil to an occasional LB stem. Looking forward to it. Also be nice to partake any time, any place. Hopefully they'll have flower soon.

Was made by the brooking Institution. Yes I got my card 6 months ago. Not needing to stress is about that about it is great.

Side note

There opening a new RISE dispensary less than a mile from my home. Going talk with them and see if might be open to ideal of me maybe doing monthly vaporizer class or something.

Would love to help someone new to Medical Marijuana and vaporizing find the right fit. My thought would be to offer a try and buy program of some sort. Something along the line of having some cleaned pre use vapes. You pay a deposit and allowed try it for a couple weeks. If like that vape the deposit is applied towards a new unit. If not you can try another brand till you find what suits you.

Sorry that I got off subject there.

Good morning... Just going over the batch 7 list. Spoken for are 6 walnut / 5 cherry / 2 purple heart / 2 quilted maple. I have room for 5 more units. I'll need to build some walnut units to fulfill this order (have plenty of cherry, enough PH, enough QM), so a big hunk of walnut will be roughed out. Question is, how many walnut units do I build?

TODAY'S DEALS
It's Figured Walnut Thursday (shoulda done this yesterday). But due to the fact I'm breaking out some more figured walnut stock, and I really don't want to build just a couple, Figured Walnut is now 20% off for one day only. Sale ends at midnight, as of tomorrow I decide how many walnut units to build. Use couponcode: walnutnut on all Specialty Figured Walnut Units at checkout.

Also had a bit of a faux pa, but my mistake could be your windfall. New larger switch, obviously, takes up about 4 mm more room and is centered on the switch box. So everything about the switch boxes are tighter now. I typically make the switch boxes slightly larger than the units and plane down (need to rethink this). For a couple of cherry units, the planing down to size has resulted in the switches being a mm or so off center. I can rebuild these units / switch boxes, but they all paired up, finished, ready to be assembled. I assembled one, works amazingly, but the switch is just a hair to one side, with the smaller switch, it might not even be visible. These are brand new cherry units that would typically sell for $169 plus shipping (stem included). In order to keep moving forward with batch 7, not waste time trying to fix a minor cosmetic defect, I'm going to cut my losses and pass these 2 units on sale at a cosmetic flaw price of $110 bare bones / $130 with stem (plus ten shipping. That's a saving of over 25 percent.

If I needed these units to fill batch 7, I'd build new switch boxes, but at this point they are kind of surplus, and I'm sure they will make someone very happy. PM me for payment info (my paypal email). In the future, if similar situations arise, I'll offer the cosmetic flaw discount once again.

Awesome deals for 2 lucky people. That's $50 less than than I paid for a new bare bone one. So almost a 1/3 off of the preorder price. Great way get one quick for a good deal.

lol I jumped on a figured walnut. Sweet deal :)
The cosmetic flaws on not on the site yet, as I only have a couple of off center switches right now. It is killing me to look at these. The hole for the switch gets cut before the units get paired. In forever trying to adapt to a better process, I usually make the switch box slightly larger, slight less rounded edges (not if cutting from the same stock), to give me room to pair down (can't add wood). Keep in mind there is a lot going on here, there is like six edges that must line up, not hard for something to get a little out of square and be saved by planing down the switch (or even the unit sometimes). Well, on a couple of units, that need more planing that usual, the amount of material removal was unequal from side to side, and somehow I didn't pick it up until I assembled one of these over planed units, and realized I what had happened.

$110 Bare Bones as you see it, or $130 with a cherry stem

Right on @Mr. Gweilo 420 and @HerbieVonVapster , what a great time to join in on the fun with the upcoming LB2.0! Yeah, baby!

@Bravesst , that off centred Button might not be bad for a south paw like me or for added space for long hands using the Right.. I use LB with both hands . look at the curves and smoothness on that Cherry LB , Mmmm. Can
"see" the beauty of the extra fine grits sanding, very nice!

@Bravesst Given you don't have blems very often they might become collector's pieces. You should consider charging more for them.

Loving my Cherry LB-we've grown close. And watching this thread is exciting because everything that's happening on the LB front is just adding to my anticipation of the Timber.

Just sold one of the cosmetic flaw units, right now there's one left.

STAKING STOCK
Or should I rephrase, The State of My Stock

FIGURED WALNUT
The call for Figured Walnut resulted in 2 quick sales / now 8 walnut will be in batch 7. I am not buying walnut at the local shop any longer, just *Figured Black Walnut* online. Have a good amount to work with

QUILTED MAPLE
Quilted doesn't sell as well as the walnut, and it's a bit more expensive. I have stock for about half dozen units remaining

PURPLE HEART
Expensive, will have to raise prices on this one if I order more. I have another two units possible with the stock I have.

CHERRY
Endless supply of this nice dark cherry with an occasional two-face (light on one side). I can get it in the perfect size for LB's, and it's inexpensive. Have lots and lots of Cherry!

I'm pretty stocked in all of my raw materials as well. I have about 20 coils formed, ready to be installed. I have 15 bodies pre-assembled and finished, another 10 pre-assembled, but not planed and sanded. All back plates are done. I need to build another half dozen or so Walnut units from scratch. Probably going to catch up with the Walnut, then assemble. I really don't want to go to the post office with over 20 units, so I'll probably assemble the first half (as orders were received) and ship, then assemble the second half and ship. Along with that are a couple of repairs. Either way, everything will ship by month's end.

Busy, busy, busy... Remember, I also teach fire safety 2 or 3 days per week, and I'm supposed to be *retired*.

No rest for the wicked
As always, take care of yourself , take Mrs Vapwood out on a date , or take a chill day with your four legged Lil'Bud , which we haven't seen lately ? The silent mastermind behind the LB, lol.

You are executing business in a very professional manner which is a big advantage. it's not because it's a herb vaporizer that it isn't serious business as usual. you seem to totally understand that , you offer people exceptional service and products . I bet LB 2.0 is signing , the voice of Lil'Bud and Vapwood will be heard clearer and louder  well deserved for all the hard hours you put into this seven days a week.

I've got some stage of a Lil' Bud in my hands pretty much seven days per week. Even on work days, I manage a few hours in the shop. I live and breathe Lil' Bud, literally. And yes, this is a business, and in business you need to achieve a monetary gain, but this is about a lot more than just making money. I've been criticized by friends and family because I get caught up in my passion, and there's been quite a few. I guess finding a balance is important, but I've always kind of pushed the envelope on things I've loved to do. No difference here, I kind of need to build Lil' Buds (and Timbers and more).

My four legged Lil' Bud is the most awesome creature on earth. He is the only thing in my life that makes me smile every single time I think of him. Any yes, Mrs. Vapwood not happy with all the work, but that's a whole other story.

I have to confess my love for the lil b :). Finally spent some good time with it and used some different stems. There is def a lil learning curve when using it. I got some afghan purple yesterday and wow the grape notes that the lil b brought were so yummy. I can spit huge clouds and can extract anywhere from 3-10 hits depending on how much packed and how hard I'm hitting each load. I love that I can start pulling vapor around 3-4 seconds. Instanst on demand heat :) no preheat or anything. I never have to stir and everything comes out uniform. I've managed to only combust once and that was because I over stuffed the stem. I need to get myself a longer tube from Alan. Grabbing one with a HI next week :). Lil b is going to satisfy my portable needs :). I think I finally found a winner

Get a reduced diameter glass lined WonG! It can be used with/without the glass so you have the option of 8mm, 10mm or 12mm load size because the hole in the middle is 10mm on one end and 12mm on the other. The glass tube reduces it to 8mm I.D. VERY versatile and can be used with the HI too!!!
P.S. Don't forget extra screens and an extra glass tube, maybe 2, as I cracked my first one and Alan custom fits each one!!!

I just separated my Figured Walnut from other specialty woods, as it's much easier to keep in stock. Figured Walnut basic package is now $199 (vs Cherry at $169). To my Purple Heart and Quilted Maple Switch box guy (you know who you are), crazy nice choice. Got me thinking. I just paired a Quilted Maple with Walnut switch box - insane . Another quilted maple got a purple heart switch box (see pic below of unfinished unit). Very interesting combinations, striking.

If you order exotic hardwoods (QM and PH), and add a contrasting switch box, the price would $239, but since I made the choices, these are my Friday the 13 sale units.

. And Cherry is just awesome. One cherry unit has some really weird grain, never really seen it before in cherry, almost lost quartersawn.
Love to see that one

There looking good personally I like as close to matching wood as possible for the switch box. The quilted maple you posted earlier are insane looking.

I had another fun evening with my batch six LB and some Billy Kimber OG. I never saw huge clouds but I really enjoyed the effects and the experience.

I'm in touch with Alan and looking to get a longer stem for a bit more cooling. I'll have to try that hemp hack too.

Edit: do you guys have a length recommendation for a second stem? Alan has a range of options from 2.5 to 4".

There's something about watching all this happen in real time that makes me happy. Seeing someone grow in their craft and processes is exciting. And we're all the beneficiaries.

@bossman I am too. But more for increased control. I've always laughed when people talk about draw restriction in their vapes. I can lung pull a Dynavap M. My tendency is to draw too hard; especially on mouthpieces that are 12mm and above in diameter and on relatively short stems.

I find the vapor from the LB to be quite smooth and tasty when I'm in that sweet spot of clean screen, fresh battery, and well cured flower. Warm, not hot. But I have to be really careful with my draw speed.

This is one of the cool things about the LB though. We can customize the experience to the way we use it, and based on our own draw speed.

I opted to go all wood because I think I lose more goodies to glass than I do to wood. I've lightly scraped the inside wall of my wood stems and there's really nothing there-and I use my LB 2-3 times a day. I've had these stems for 3 or 4 months, maybe more. My glass stems would be opaque if they went that long without cleaning.

I'm looking for the additional control from the longer stem with a narrower aperture-if it cools the vapor at all it will be a bonus.

Id go 4" glass lined. That way you can go wood 12mm, wood 10mm or glass 8mm.Thats what I got and its great!!!
