I recently got one of these as a first press so i stop using cosmetic supplies to create rosin. I do like it for the price just wish it had temp control, But you can try to keep it lower by turning on and off during the squish just play around a bit. I got mine directly from theju1cebox.com do a search for coupon codes i found one but have forgotten what it was. The regular price is $124.99 for the standard kit and they also sell on Amazon.

Considered getting one of these myself a while back, glad your enjoying the device just a pity on the lack of temp control.

Yeah it's a great little device very travel friendly as well. I will be using this as a travel only unit once i get my Nug smasher mini.

I'd bet my irwin clamp and straighteners worked better than that for less than half the price

I thought this at first as well, And i only paid $20 $30 more than what it would have cost me to get a dedicated straightener, temp gun and good clamp. I find it works better than the temp controlled straightener and clamp i was using.

I have been looking at this lately too. I need something small and easily put away,.

Apart from squishing buds I want to use one to squish either Afghani or Nepalese street hash. I am hoping squishing it into rosin can clean it up and make it dabbable. Do you think this device can handle that?

I don't know if hash squishing would be a good idea until you get good at feathering the temp, And really even then do you really wan't to be doing that? I think i would rather use a Nug smasher mini or other unit in that $500 price range if squishing something like that.

you need less pressure with hash, but the lack of temperature control would be a big no no for me.

Even my cannaclamp had digital temp control and it only cost about £35
£15 for the clamp and £20 for the cheapo straighteners

I'm pretty sure each unit will heat slightly different as well, But mine really get's there around 20 seconds and is easy to overshoot once you turn it back on. I normally wait about 20 seconds after initial heat up then a 2 or three second burst, But this is just with flower i would absolutely hate attempting this with hash.

Hi, I'm looking into solventless concentrates for a few weeks now. At first I wanted to get a Slug.33 and a good vice but I don't like the whole torch idea. Now looking into the Ju1cebox. Most obvious downside is that it doesn't regulate temprature. But it does seem like a very easy to use product.

Prepare bud for pressing, clamp hard, watch it flow.

Now big upside is that the Ju1cebox isn't that expensive (125 with shipping), slug.33 + vice is also a good 80 euros for me, hair straightner and 600lbs irwin clamp is also into the good 60 euros (this is my #2 option atm.)

Big downside is the american plug and the 120v (they say 120v on the website, don't they mean 110v?)
How much watt should my 230v > 110v stepdown transformer be?

Dabpress is a great option for a full blown press setup. Check the cannaclamp if you just want to press small amounts. Hair straightener and trigger clamp works well if you don't mind the DIY.

True point. A cheap Harbor Freight press is still about $70. So, you're close to $300, now.

A DIY with a hair straightener is an option if you can get a straightener at Good Will or some place cheap. They can run 60 bux in a retail store. IC Mag has a great thread on making a "Hashmaster Kutt" press with a hair straightener and a squeeze clamp.

Temperature control is pretty important and the cheaper and many DIY setups just don't have that option. Plus, if you really like the rosin thing, you'll end up upgrading and having 2 presses (or 5 like me LOL) and more money into it than if you had just bought the nice one first. LOL

EDIT: Oops, I didn't realize this was the juicebox thread when I suggested the DabPress unit. Buy the Juicebox. For the price, it's a nice entry level unit. The temp control is a big thing. Anyone know what the preset temp is on the Juicebox? If it is about 200-210F, it's probably OK for most tasks.

If they made an electric heater for the Slug, I would be all over that. However, from what I have seen, at this level, the Juicebox is pretty neat.

It goes from room temp to 250 farenheit, but since the plates are so small the rosin leaks to the sides not touching the hot plates as much. And once it's at about 220 you can just pull it from the wall and press at that.

But how many watt should my step down transformer be? Since a 100 watt one will set me back some bucks.

If it had temp control id grab one, seems a nice package. Id feel happier traveling with this than a clamp and iron set up (ive had many). Why they didnt set the temp to 210 ill never know.

DabPress has 3x3 plates with a PID and everything you need (except the press) for $199.

https://www.dabpress.com/collections/rosin-plates/products/dp-rp33-diy-rosin-heat-plates

Free shipping and any voltage and plug you want. How much is the juicebox?
According to Juicebox I need a 1000watt transformer. Bringing the totalcost up to 135+160= almost 300 bucks. More expensive than the Dabbpress plates and a small press. Do you know of the plates would also work in a vice or other pressure type device.

Ju1cebox told me they are working on a 240 volt device, done in a few months. I guess i'll wait for that one. Been spending too much on smoking lately anyway

Mozy,
This is a Harbor Freight table top press. Not sure what country you're in but this type of press is available from many sources. HF offers 20% off all the time so this press would be about $65 with tax. This is about as inexpensive as you can get and, I have one just like it and it works great.

Tell them to do a 240v and 210degree model

davesmith,
I ordered one of these about 3 weeks ago. The company is a joke and I suspect it may be a kid living in his parent's basement. They accepted my order, issued a preshipping notice the next day and did nothing else. They did not reply to messages and did not ship. I had to phone them internationally at my expense too. Eventually it was a PayPal dispute and I was refunded. Nonetheless, my time and effort was stolen. DO NOT DEAL WITH THIS COMPANY.

Sorry to hear of your experience, If mine was anything like that i never would have created a thread for this thing, Did anyone answer when you attempted phone contact? I think maybe they just don't ship international yet and handled it bad by not responding or refunding.

I inquired about international shipping and they got back to me pretty fast, would have need a power inverter to work on my 230v domestic supply mind you.

@anasrzi I was thinking maybe they didn't because of your want post in the classified section. I actually discovered this one from that post thank's, i'm enjoying mine what other press can you use in a car on a power inverter. I think this is why i like this one so much. I only look to use it as a on the go press for a a few dabs, For regular home use i'm leaning towards the new Dabpress bt-bj6t35 6 ton. The Nug smasher mini seem's a bit small but the Mypress is a maybe.

I just wanted to post an update on my Ju1ce box rosin press after about six months. The unit still works however the power connection is messed up. I have to move it around or hold it a certain way to get power to it. I normally use mine in heat burst since the heat goes entirely too high for my liking. I have even made a couple strains butter up using heat burst.

I will be getting another portable rosin press in the future however it must have heat control looking at the rtp go. I now have a nice Dabpress dp-bj3t33 on the way since the ju1cebox is dying and i really wanted heat control.:clap:
