Discontinued Haze Square

Not Square related but curious about the legal environment in peoples states, prices, etc.

I live in Oregon, which has dispensaries but better yet is a grow your own state that let's you grow between 4-12 plants.

I’m in Connecticut. Flower at dispensaries runs $275-300 an ounce. It’s still a felony to crack a seed....

I currently have to drive 45 minuets each way to the dispensary, but a closer one is opening. Just not sure as to when. I can buy 72 grams flower equivalent per month.

Has anybody talked to Haze recently? I placed an order for some Square spare parts on July 3 and have not received tracking or any email explaining why. I've tried reaching out to them through email and through PM here but have not gotten anything back. I need to have my coil replaced and I've been wanting to do a thorough review on reddit. I've spoken highly of their customer service on reddit since the majority of reddit is skeptical about the Square due to the lack of its presence there. But this is not acceptable. The least Haze could do is tell me some items are on back order or give an explanation for why the item hasn't shipped out nearly 2 weeks after I ordered.

Square Pro first impressions after a tear down, clean, reassemble and 2 pods shared between two people...

For this focusing on the product itself.

Teardown and initial cleaning was easy enough.

Reassembly: took me probably 45 minutes since I havent recieved my cleaning//loading tray yet. It was VERY hard to do. You need to line up all 8 metal pieces (4 pairs of screens and tops) in the silicon which isn’t too bad. Howver, you then have snugly insert the silicon with that whole assembly into one side of the square without any of the metal picecs becoming disloged or forming a bad seal... super tedious, took me 30 of the 45 on that alone....

Got Good seals, burn off complete...

Packed 2 with pretty dry herb once through a standard 3 chamber grinder.

First drag setting 3.... nice piney lemon taste with modest visible vapor (as expected)!

2nd hit... tons of vapor, great taste. Passed it to the GF who got the same results! ...first time using a portable vape for both of us. Definitely a success!

Bumped temp to stock preset 4 for the remainder. Did a few double presses: drag while green then half way press again. I know this isn’t intended use, but it worked for me and I did not combust! Huge clouds Very nearly as big as bong combustion!!

ABV was good not great. Without double presses on the first pod, i still had some green around the edges. Not comfortable pointing fingers at the square for this. It was my first go. i very well may need a finer grind or different packing technique. Going to analyze my abv tn or tomorrow in better light and prior to using it...lol..

Solid unit, seems well made.

I’ll post a full review after some more time with it including the whole experience and accessories

Initial impressions from a dude who just got his first vapes this month: VERY SATISFIED so far!

Keep an eye on that coil if you intend to double press. Will warp coil. Will make coil wear faster. And it can certainly create hot spots in your bud.

After my order I did not get any tracking, just an automatic email recipt, and my unit just showed up one day. I think they may be on backorder for some parts like the cleaning//loading tray. They’re probably swamped too. Stay vigilant and keep us posted. GL

@Haze Vaporizers will you be making the air path / heater silicone seal available for replacement? It's the only one that ends up getting ISO on it

The silicone seal replacement is available on our website I think. Yes the easy load trays are included but we are currently out. Expecting them tomorrow. We try to respond every PM, every post as quick as we can. Anyone who had missing items in the package, or missing accessory orders, they are coming...

@Haze Vaporizers should probably consider including the cleaning/loading tray in the initial purchase package.

If you preordered thru Haze it's comes as a pre order incentive ....if through a retailer.....you would need to purchase tool....part of the reason to preorder!

And as @O-G-Reg said they may be out or wait ing on shipment.

I’ve been a lurker on the forums for a little while, after how much I loved the Dual V3 (one chamber stopped heating up sadly), I wanted to grab the Square. Great thread in here too, a lot of good information that got my excited to get my Phase 3 Unit.

It worked well for about a day, but now the unit won’t charge. When I plug the USB c cord in, there’s no charging light and I can’t get the unit to turn on at all anymore. Any help here or tips, emailed Haze yesterday but haven’t got a reply yet. Not sure if I have a faulty unit or not. Only got to use the thing for about two bowls until it shut off and died .

Was hoping to use the square while I sent my Haze V3 in for repair

They got in touch and even provided tracking. The tracking may have gotten sent to my spam box. I was mostly concerned about just getting the items shipped out since they've always shipped them out in a timely manner.

I did get one as part of phase 1. Awesome that they are making it standard with purchase. Makes rebuilding it such a snap. I've never used it to load the bowls. I just dropped my bowls in a shallow dish of ground flower and fill it that way.

A little tip if people haven't figured this out, if you put the tab for the bowl tray facing the left then bowl number one is top right and then they go clockwise. Easy to keep track.

Just had my first, first hit combustion event.

It was unpleasant.

Had been preheating once as a habit to prevent this and space it out

My unit will also not charge all the time. Sometimes it will if it is completely dead and I plug it in. Definitely a faulty board. Other than that charging issue my phase 2 is ok though. Still getting around to shipping it back. I love the thing when it works like designed, it is my favorite vape to use at the moment.

Silicon case is isn’t the best. I’d say you get what you pay for. Its pretty loose and i dont think it offers much profection aside from some scratch protection. I’m not confident it will survive long going in and out of my pocket.
I wish there were better options, i dont want my units finish to get scratched up, ect.

I agree with the silicone case being cheap. That little strap that is supposed to go around the mouthpiece is particularly annoying and I just cut it off flush and it works much better without it. Mine it solely used for scratch protection. I'm not expecting any sort of drop damage resistance.

2nd day observations- I am really liking this so far. I am yet to have a combustion, so that's good.
The mouthpiece is loose when I'm using it, not stored, so I'll try something to fix that.
A weird thing is my square takes 2 minutes after inactivity to power off, the manual says 45 seconds, but I timed it tonight after notic9jg it was on for longer. It isn't a problem, maybe even a beneficial bug? Let's me hang out longer and be ready to go

I have been carrying and storing mine in one of those free fabric bags you get when you buy sunglasses. Works to keep it from at least getting scratched.
