Boundless Tera

The v3 is mostly convection with conduction in the form of heat retention in the bowl. You can make this better by using a dosing capsule like stated or using an elbow screen. There are pictures earlier on in this thread detailing that. Both add heat retention to the bowl and provide a pretty good boost in vapor production on the second and so on hits.

I don't think you'll be disappointed. If anything, your lungs will get a workout and you'll be stronger for it! Haven't you always wanted to hold your breath like Michael Phelps?

I'm really enjoying the new Tera v3, the only thing that I found intolerable was the rubber gasket on the mouthpieces, it just adds a rubberish taste to the vapor.
I Do detect a very little bit of what your saying. I coated mine with a coconut oil/Hash oil mix I use for pain relief. Helped a lot but I, too, was thinking about replacing the rubber/screen with something else like was done on the CF/CFX mouthpieces. I saw an earlier posting where someone put an ariser elbow screen on the WPA. I need to look at the mouthpiece and let the juices flow!

So i just removed the rubber/screen and just put a basket screen in its place shoved in the bottom end of the mouthpiece. Looks like it will work just fine and no more rubber! Ill test it later, too early for me, and see how it works. Seems to be a minute difference in air flow, like a wee bit is seeping past the magnets but NOT much. Im sure it will draw just fine.

Sorry Stu, REALLY, on the multi posts. I keep forgetting in my zeal to inform!!!

I've just got my Tera V3 too. And your feeling is exactly as same as mine. The rubber gasket at the mouthpiece is really annoying and hard to take. I'm hoping with a few more burn off it will get away, wondering how long does it last. If you could find some way to resolve this problem, please share with me.
You should try using the WPA instead of the normal mouthpiece.
Do we have any other way to solve it? I meant, I find it really good when using glass mouthpiece. Can we wash the rubber with alcohol? does it help? Can we wash the rubber with lemon?

Honestly, I can't smell anything from mine. I use the WPA because it has multiple benefits of catching reclaim and the elbow screen on it instead of the stock screen provides a better conduction effect. Also for the fact that I can jam it in any nearby glass piece.

It's weird, maybe you've been using your Tera for a long time so the rubber smell already getting away??? Or you are not affected much by that rubberish taste.

Did you read my post??? take it off! The silicon/screen can be replaced with a simple pipe screen! Pull it off, the silicon gasket/screen, and Push in the new screen in the hole at the base of the mouthpiece ala CF/CFX! NO more silicon smell!

Sorry I didn't notice your post. Also, can you post your picture with the silicon/screen replaced? I will try your way as soon as I get home.
Thank you.

I suggest an ISO wash, a couple of burn off cycles and then if there is still a faint odor run som AVB through it at Max temp (for flowers). Do not inhale during the AVB burn offs then after emptied and cleaned see if you still detect the odor.

If the odor is still not gone start over with the ISO.

Hey guys, Anyone know how to disassemble the rubber gasket and the screens at the mouthpiece please? It seems like it can't be disassembled since it's really tight to take it off.

Updated: I found the way to take it off, quite simple with pulling the gasket from top.

Hey guys! I am new here because I think of getting the Tera and found this thread to be the most informative source. So thanks for that!

I have some question in the end, you can skip this part about my personal journey if you want to save the time :D Last 8 years I used to extract in coconut oil and just eat, found it to be very efficient and no need to kill myself with smoking :) Last harvest I made an alcohol extraction and got some left over superfine material in the filter which I decided to give smoking a try. Smoked it pure out a pipe and liked the difference in effect, faster and less tiring. So I decided to get my self a two chamber percolator to make it easier on my lungs and also like that a lot. So now I have the plant material left over from my extraction which I do not want to smoke as its a lot of plant and little active compounds in it (I guess). I thought of investing in a vape, not only for the left over stuff but that was the first idea why to get one. Now after reading and researching what I want I ended with the Tera which seems to fit what I am searching for (real convection with enough power also for on the go, the WPA for my glass piece at home, exchangeable batteries, concentrate option as I produced some).

Now I read nearly all of this thread and found a lot of answers, but not all :)
1) How can I know if I have v2 or v3 without destroying the vape? The flipping of the screen only tells me that I don't have v1.
2) Is the v2 still officially save to use? Boundless stated at one point that the Teflon AF is fine but after a stress test here it found to deform and crack.
3) If it is save to use, there is an offer from namastevape in Europe. They sell Version 3 and Version 2. And Version 2 for only 102 Euros. Is that then a legit offer?

I wrote to Boundless about the first question how to find out about Version 1 and 2 and they answered right away but my second email with the above question got ignored so far. Can you guys help me out?

Tera v3 has a serial number on the bottom. Could be a model number as it is short. It is inked on.

I stopped using my Tera v2 as soon as the Teflon gassing was confirmed and put it back in its box. I am enjoying my Tera v3 and have zero regrets but I will never use v2 again.

V2 are proved to be not safe and in my humble opinion namaste are the worst ever for selling something knowing it isn't safe. I'll NEVER buy anything from scum like that.

Go for a v3, don't be cheap. Your health is the most important mate!

Thanks, will look for the serial number.
Did Boundless offer you some compensation if you keep the v2?
Seems that they still do not classify it as a recall and let people use the v2.

Read some bad post about Namastevape already and don't trust them. Vaposhop seems most recommended for Europe.

What I am wondering is that Boundless should take care that v2 are not sold anymore if they are not safe. If Boundless replaces v2s with v3s why would Namastevape try to sell off v2s? I understand that Boundless might be under extrem pressure if they have to do a call back again after the first problems, maybe financially and for sure because of brand reputation. There I can understand that if the Teflon AF is safe they still offer to replace v2s for reputation. But if the Teflon AF is not safe and they don't do the call back I question if I should trust them at all. Their answer to my question how to find out about having v1 or v2 did not mention anything about v2 not being safe (5 days ago). Further questions have not been answered so far.

Mate, you should read this post. All of it. Boundless already stated that v2 aren't safe and asked users with an v2 to contact them:

For those with the V2 units and have not emailed me yet please send an email to Eric@bndlstech.com as we will be beginning the process of offering an exchange. As stock will be limited on the first run, it may take us a few shipments to get through all the exchanges but we are committed to moving forward with this. I am hoping we can begin the CFV upgrade program on our second shipment as well, more information on this will be available soon.

Seriously guys, stop using v2's. They aren't safe, has been proved by puffitup and that's why we have v3. I will never understand why people try to be cheap when your health is concerned...

Eric told me in an email that the V2 is safe and that the teflon was not off gassing but was just bits that fell through to the top of heater. Has something changed?
