All that money for a 2 year warranty:disgust:.
Zippo Blue is about US$80 and you get a lifetime warranty.

It looks like Zippo have discontinued it, so get in quick if you want one.

This is the post that has made me finally make an account here.
Do not, DO NOT buy a zippo blu, I've tried probably over 100 butane lighters (I collect lighters) and the zippo blu line is by far the least reliable lighter I and many other collectors have ever used, You will not be happy.

It is a torch lighter - i believe the top ring is only for on/off of the gas flow, but not the adjustment...btw that on/off switch is ime really unpractical placed on some other flint wheel torches, really easy to empty them accidentially

I super glued mine so they would not lock on any more, bloody dangerous, they would slide into the locked position by gravity while being used without realizing, near set myself on fire a couple times, these ones, good lighter once made safe:disgust:

that's not possible with those flint wheel based models - the valve needs to be opened and closed with a switch/lever, there's no push button that opens/closes the valve ;) (that makes them indeed a bit more dangerous when dropped etc)
as an example for bad design that can open in the pocket (and has suboptimal adjustment at the bottom):

this one is my fav - the valve opens/closes with the top lid and nice adjustment at the bottom:

I am pretty sure that translates to: Fuck off you Ozzie Yobbo.
I think it's probably just the Gold Coast they don't ship to. Two things; why don't you buy a shit load of Dental IH's next time you play Port in Shanghai? And isn't Housos the best show evah?
EDIT : And Rake

Thinks U2U, just ordered one.

@LesPlenty if you want one or two I can proxy you the stuff from Germany: be prepared to pay around 7€ / 10 USD in shipping to you.
If that’s vivid PM me to work out details

I just checked Dynavap and it still says out of stock, however, I just received a M starter pack in the mail today and it has the Black Vertigo 2 flame zippo, (I actually got 2 because I ordered the 2 lighter pack at the same time just to get the black zippo vertigo)

Hey there !
Today I received my 2 extra aomai lighters, one of which didn't function properly. For some reason it couldn't retain proper gas flow and it would stop while the switch was on. After gutting both the functional and the problematic one (so I could compare) I finally managed to get it to work. I would be more than glad to create a step by step guide in case someone gets an aomai lighter with a similar issue.

I wouldn’t mind that guide if you feel like it. I’ve been eyeing those lighters for their thin profile.

For that matter I got 3 honest lighters from China and one of them I can’t get any butane into! They were all shipped empty, 2 of them filled right up, this one all the butane just sputters all around the valve and doesn’t go into the lighter.

is there a window to show the gas level on the aomai lighters?
Yes, there is!

Well, here you go!

Unscrew the screw on the bottom

Pull the top of the lighter softly. You can't remove the top until you remove the on/off switch. After you remove it you can remove the insides of the lighter.

Next, you want to remove the tiny metal rod that keeps things in place. It's quite easy to remove so be careful not to lose it.

Now you softly pull the top away in order to disconnect the very soft gas supply tube from the gas tank.

This metallic part was what caused the problem.

Push it out and then lift up. I used a screwdriver.

This is the piece that needed to be adjusted. Oddly enough it seemed to be bent similarly to the one in the functioning lighter. I tried to bend it in several ways. And didn't seem to do the trick.

So eventually what worked was to pretty much straighten it. I used pliers and my fingers. The metal is soft enough to be bent this way. Just be careful not to break it (I'm guessing it's a possibility given the softness of the material).

After that, I placed it back in and checked if the metallic piece would lift the gas release tube.

It worked perfectly. Now I put everything back together. You can use tweezers to connect the soft gas tube to the gas release tube. I managed to put it back using a small screwdriver. It is easier to connect than it seems.

Now I placed the guts of the lighter back. This is the position I left it in order to put the on/off switch back in.

And this is the direction you hold the on/off switch button in order for it to fit back in.

Now you push everything back in the casing and screw the bottom screw and you're done.

I used these two screwdrivers.

P.S. The names I used to describe the different compartments are made up and don't know if they correspond to the actual names.
